Côte Godalming

Our first visit and we were very impressed. The food and service were both fantastic. The only reason I didn't give them full marks was that the steak we ordered rare came as medium. We didn't complain as the steak was still pleasant and the service was impeccable. We will be visiting again.

Perfect setting, very friendly staff. Service as always impeccable and staff discreetly making sure that our meal was all that we had expected. Brilliant place.

A lovely restaurant with a outside space which is ideal on a sunny day. Good excellent and also the service. We enjoyed our anniversary lunch outside!

Sunday evening very few dishes available, food cold, very disappointed. Ask twice for a drink which never arrived. Given discount but would rather of had a lovely meal.

We were four people. Two of us had soup which was just warm .taken away and same soups returned.we were asked "which was which?" One person ordered melon from the. Vegetarian menu and was brought ham on melon. The main courses were good. They were not busy. In fact, we could near ourselves speaking. Staff were apologetic and we were not charged forthe soup.

Service swift and friendly. Table not too good though we could have changed. Good value tasty food though berries with white chocolate sauce were 90% red currants.

It's our local Cote but not the best! wrong dish for one of the party, Cold food again so I hope someone can improve this branch

Food was very good but the service less so. Ordered an appetiser that came out after the starter and then ordered the Moules Frites for main but the Frites turned up 5 minutes after the Moules!

Good, reasonably priced food, with polite and efficient staff and a pleasant and comfortable environment. The early evening set menu is an attractive and convenient option.

Wonderful evening, good food and very good service particularly our waitress from Lithuania who recommended a very good wine - very busy which is always s good sign / would go back again and again

Nice ambience in this restaurant, food was very good prepared great just not much of it, and have to pay for extra things like veg with your main course, which all adds up and its not cheap to start with, but I guess it is a slightly better class of restaurant, so you should expect that. Staff were very friendly but not over the top, had a member of the party who had special dietary requirements and the menu for that (gluten free) is very good lots more choice than other restaurants.

Good service good food could not fault in any way all staff very attentive!! Well done,would recommend to anyone,as it was a very pleasant evening for all of us!

Couldn't fault our anniversary evening. Staff interaction great, food excellent and the whole ambience of the evening was perfect for our wedding anniversary celebration. Would recommend to our friends.

Staff friendly, food and wine very good and good size portions. Really like this branch of Cotes and it is very local to where we live, however although we were sat in a quieter area in the front room, the restaurant had a couple of large parties that were quite noisy. Perhaps we should have opted to sit on the outside terrace as it turned out to be a nice warm evening? Will be back again soon.

Lovely food served outside under a canopy. Waitress and waiters very attentive. First time at the new Cote in Godalming. They have made the decor interior & exterior very pleasing on the eye.

Lovely food and nice outdoor eating area . Lovely place to meet friends and enjoy lunch . Set menu for 2 or 3 courses is very reasonable .

As always a fab experience. Lovely staff excellent food and great service. Can't fault it. Good menu although would like to see a change to the standard menu as well as the specials.

Always a lovely meal and good service in Cote Godalming. I would give a six except I dislike a 'service charge' being added to the bill automatically- we always tip in cash so that staff get it in addition to their wages.

3 courses for £12.95 is truly excellent value for money! This restaurant is fast becoming a regular place to go. See you there very soon!

Lovely meal at Cote Godalming. Never disappointed with my dining experience in any of the Cote venues. This was my first at Godalming and it's just as good as the others.

We had a table I. The corner at the back which was very nice. Lovely friendly staff. Great choice of food. We were a party of six and everyone enjoyed the evening.

Warm, friendly service; first class breakfast. One small point - couple next to us had their dog sat next to them up at the table; breathing all over us. Nothing said by the management.

Most staff are lovely - we were shown to our seats by a very friendly staff member (who we tipped directly) however we were then served by a very miserable staff member with a rotten attitude - bring back the lovely front of house gentleman who is on holiday in Bulgaria- he is fantastic - service with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. Happy for Cote to call me for more information. Food excellent as always.

I feel that suggesting a 12.5% service charge on a bill including VAT is excessive and should be shown separately.I also feel that to include wine which is already marked up 300/400% is a bit much.

Very good service. Very pleasant place. Lovely sitting out in the sunshine. Food was fine. White wine was cool. Would go again. Good location in the High Street.

We are regular customers at Cote Godalming for Sunday lunch and occasionally during the week and always find the food and the service from the staff to be excellent - especially the friendly welcome from Irena.

Good experience, really makes up for past experiences at Cote. Will book again soon
