We regularly eat at Côte and not only is the food exceptionally good and very good value but all the staff are very courteous and friendly. Whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner the food is well presented and cooked to perfection. We eat out regularly and Côte Guildford is my favourite restaurant. The Valentine Menue this evening was very good and the sharing dessert was to die for.

First disappointing meal in Côte for a while. Cold, fatty steak Bill incorrect - added on drinks that were part of offer Slightly surly service. Not up to standard

Always great food and friendly service...no change on this visit. Shared a delicious reblochon pissaladiere and saucisson sec to start, then the classics - poulet grille for her and steak frites for him. Can't go wrong! Finished off with praline crepe (him) and tarte fine aux pommes (her) and left very satisfied. Attentive and friendly service, only had to wait a little to get the bill sorted at the end. Recommended.

Excellent, as always. Never disappointed with the food and service. We had a choice of tables and sat by the window with a view over the castle grounds. We were not rushed to leave after our coffee, which was a bonus.

My dining experience yesterday was not good. The calamari was greasy, the steak was far too peppery and the waiter dropped my fries and had to get another portion from the kitchen.

Even we have lost a little bit communication with Côte but All the staffs have tried their very best to sort it out for us .. especially the manager Andrew.... the food was so good and the services were so wonderful .. we enjoyed so much A total of 26 adults and 3 children were in the party that every single one of us love all the staffs .. thank you so much ...

Friendly helpful staff. We had a slight problem with one of the desserts , however the staff dealt with it efficiently and satisfactorily. The food was declicious and the offer of free cocktails was a nice touch. The noise level rose to a rather high level though, meaning we had to shout to each other in order to hold a conversation. Lovely location in the town.

Excellent service from our waiter, great food in a really fun atmosphere.

We always enjoy good food at Cote, and this lunch was no exception. The restaurant was busy, but our reservation brought us a table for two immediately, and we drank our delicious, and complimentary, St Germain G&T's while waiting for mussels and steak. The sixth star has been withheld because our table was in a busy and rather noisy location, but the restaurant was too busy to ask for an alternative.

Little bit stingy with the ham on Eggs Benedict. Tasted great though. Service excellent. Very welcoming and attentive.

Both meals were very good and the wine was inexpensive but excellent! Would not hesitate to go there again. Breakfasts are also very good quality and value. Laurence

I had reserved a table for 7 people several days before, and then changed the number to 5 on the morning of the day of our visit. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived and we were put on a table for four which was quite a squash, which was particularly irritating for me as my seat was in the thoroughfare and so my back was constantly being brushed past by customers and staff, especially as it was en route to the kitchen and toilets. The Manager was extremely apologetic and gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne (it was my daughter's birthday) to compensate for the inconvenience. As a result of the way in which the Manager dealt with the situation I just accepted it rather than make a fuss, but it did spoil our evening. I regretted changing the booking as it worked against us in the end. The food, however, was up to standard as always.

My husband and I had a five star experience in every way when we had an early 6.30 dinner before our theatre visit.
