Côte Highgate

Being Mother's day the restaurant was really busy but the staff were efficient and friendly and as usual the food was excellent. Grandson reckons they are the best chips in London!

Great night. - Cote Highgarw is a fun venue with great menu. The added free kir royals for seven was excellent We'll definitely be back soon

Food, portions, service all good and we would go again. The restaurant in Highgate was very attractive also so made a very nice evening for us and our friends

The service is excellent and food is very good too. We do like the place and will be back for sure . Chicken and steak are our favourite.

We had a very nice meal with good service. The Pissaladiere is a particular favourite of mine and I do like many of the desserts too especially the ice cream and chocolate sauce.

We enjoy the choice and quality of food and service and the variety of seating areas although since having to book via Quandoo last time we were unable to request a particular table

Excellent waitress. Very patient as we took ages before we ordered but she kept coming back quietly to check on us and reassured us we didn't need to hurry. We had a glass of wine each and then ordered a glass of wine to share and she brought it already halved in two glasses for us.

We live in Highgate near the village and have been enthusiastic users of Cote since it first opened. The food has always been very good. The 'menu' to 7.30pm weekdays is very good value although we often eat off of the general menu. Which brings me to our only real dissatisfaction with Cote which is that the menus hardly change at all and if, like us, you tend to eat out there a lot, this can be quite off-putting. So more variety please, or menu changes far more often. The other quibble that we have is that it drives us mad that you bring the water to be table and always say, complimentary water!!! It might well be filtered but it is totally daft and annoying to have this said to you every time. In fact it is unnecessary, a smile when delivered with just the words, some filtered water for you would be so much more pleasant. It jars so please stop this. As it is so near and we eat there so often, it is also a drag to have to actually go online to book now in order to gain loyalty points. Quite often we are doing something in the village and just decide to eat there (generally at non-busy times so now we actually have to think it advance and book online which is a bore. Is there any other way of collecting our points when we often just turn up? Otherwise, we obviously enjoy it there - we tend to eat out of the busy hours quite often but the environment you have created and the staff (generally) make it a very pleasant place to eat.

Best meal we have had in a long time. Rating of 5 (and not 6) is because the friends who we were with had to reject their main courses, which were replaced. One had ordered duck breast, which was, for her, undercooked. It was replaced with lamb shank which was delicious. Our other friend found his ribeye steak chewy and indigestible. This was replaced with another, with which he had the same problem. To their credit, Cote did not charge for the three dishes. Our meals were delicious , generous in flavour and size. Will definitely come again. Thank you.

My second home. Service on par with food and 1st class experience any time of the day. And not just in Highgate they all offer the same value experience.

Good service as always. Had the set menu: Jerusalem artichokes with chicken main. Both good, but starter a bit more liquid than it should have been ( had the same starter at the Cambridge branch the week before)

Lovely food and a free bottle of wine as we joined the Cote Brasserie loyalty club. Good service and nice atmosphere in a good location.

Tasty food. Attentive service. Cote staff always top up wine (unequally) into 1/2 full glasses when not cooled sufficiently. Cote policy to sell more wine?

Good lunchtime menu with plenty of choice. Friendly staff who let you gossip over coffee without any hassle. Yesterday the restaurant was full, even though it was a Thursday lunchtime.

Helpful, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. The meal was okay, although we had to send a bottle of wine back as it was vinegary. The staff were very good about it and brought us an alternative. The roast chicken and roast duck were both good, but the rib eye steak was disappointingly gristly and blue rather than rare. Overall, we enjoyed the meal but I wouldn't recommend Cotes on the strength of the food and wine quality.

Excellent food and value and brilliant service. We go to Cote regularly as we live round the corner. The food and choice are excellent particularly the before 7pm deals.

Everything was fine until it got to our desserts. I had to ask them to take the order and then as the actual deserts were taking so long I had to ask where they were. We were told that they had to go out to get bananas for my husbands dessert! Seriously!

We waited a long time for our food but you were busy and you did reduce the bill slightly without our asking for it. When the meal came it was fine.

Mildly disappointing would sum up this experience: the service was mostly friendly but slow; some of the food was good, but more often it was bland and felt mass produced.

Welcoming at entrance, had reserved a very nice table and gave me choice of tables. service was charming and professional, food quality was good, lovely evening in the local brasserie.

Great service almost too quick! Had really superb rib eye steak. Soft and full of flavour. My companion had the fish cakes which were also very good.

Good food, great surroundings and service and well priced. We eat here often. Very relaxed and family friendly. Have eaten at other locations and they are consistent.

Beautiful food with friendly staff and good value for money. Lovely table by the window looking out onto highgate village. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

I love Cote and go to three branches regularly, Highgate is my local and the staff are very attentive and the food is consistently good value. What's not to like?

We were a party of 6, my wife and I and our 2 grandsons with their partners and it was very comfortable, our waitress was pleasant and helpful and the food was good. A lovely evening was experienced by all.

Lovely food, friendly and attentive staff, nice sunny view from the window, and although busy, quiet enough to talk! Staff saved our favourite table for us. Because it's such good value, we can afford to go again and again - and we do.

The lunchtime menu was varied and each course was well presented. The creme caramel is the best I have ever tasted and must remain on the menu for ever! The ambience is light and welcoming.

Côte Brasserie - Highgate is a well positioned restaurant in the centre of the village, popular with locals, groups of friends and families and is frequented by the visitors of the local attractions like Kenwood or Highgate cemetery. Restaurant is spacious and has a nice unpretentious ambience. Staff is pleasant and attentive. Food is always of equally high standard. Good selection of wines and beverages.

We have just had a lovely evening. The food was delicious and the service was very accommodating and generous. We were allowed to take our time to eat and converse. There was no sense of imposed urgency at all. Thank you.

Food was as usual good and staff very friendly but service was terrible - we waited ages for our food and then the staff didn't seem to know which table it belonged to - apparently there were problems with reservation system!!

Excellent service - waiters were extremely helpful and one of them went out of his way to help us with Cote rewards. Good quality and tasty food.

We were offered a lovely seat next to the window. I ordered the Moules Provencales as a starter & a basket of fresh warm French bread which was delicious. We both had March Specials which was the grilled sword fish with anchovy & caper dressing which was moist & well cooked. The services was excellent too plus the tables well very spaced out not too close- Definitely would recommend this restaurant.

Good helpful and knowledgeable service. Excellent food which came quickly and was hot. As good as any West End restaurant at a fraction of the cost. For starters we had calamari which was plentiful and soft, indicating that it was fresh and not frozen, although there was a hint of garlic on the breadcrumb coating, and crab salad. I asked for this without capers and this was not a problem. A minute steak, cooked to perfection, followed together with Breton fish stew, both being very good. For desert we shared a crepe topped with banana and chocolate sauce - delicious.

One of the best Cote restaurants in London. Service always good and nice variety of seats. The early evening menI and breakfasts are both recommended.

although we seldom book in advance,we eat at at least one cote branch every week. highgate,hampstead,st.albans and devonshire st. that says it all. last bottle of wine from you was in january. best wishes.

Food and service good , a problem with my starter was dealt with effectively and with good grace. My mother who can be very fussy ,was impressed. We will return.

I often eat here with friends at lunchtime. Friendly service and a good choice for the set menu which changes regularly. Good value for money.

Good food. Friendly service and good value. Simple French food done well. This is one of the better chain restaurants you will go to. Would recommend.

Very good restaurant. Reasonably priced and good food. Great service and relaxed atmosphere. Location is also very nice as Highgate Village is a great setting. At the restaurant they also serve an excellent breakfast.

Excellent Hot food - excellent service. Excellent choice. Haddock for main course, was honestly, the best i have never eaten. All very good - would thoroughly recommend

Admittedly there were few other parties in the restaurant on Bank holiday night but we were a party of 10 and had excellent service and very good food. The chef was willing enough to do sauté potatoes despite this not being on the menu. Excellent schnitzel but I would recommend they add some capers or anchovies to go with it in traditional east european style. We were allowed to bring our own cake for the 21st celebration. All in all a very positive experience.
