Our waitress was very friendly and nice, didn't catch her name though. Early bird menu extremely good value for money and would definitely visit again. Food very good.
Lovely food . Excellent service as we a big table of 10. Our waiter was lovely and this is our favourite Côte in north London
Perfect atmosphere and very attentive staff members. We shall all return.
This is a large airy restaurant which is always popular. The food is consistently good and the staff are always friendly. They always give you lots of time to chat!
As usual a great dining experience. Côte never fails to impress
As always food was nice and service was lovely, it is just a very good place to last minute pop round to and have a nice relaxing meal with family and/ or friends
Disappointing visit to Highgate’s Cote. Ordered food from menu to be told a few minutes later we were giving the wrong menu! Then when I ordered the chicken with fries the fries were cold... fresh hot fries were delivered a few minutes later. All in all disappointing lunch ...
Leisurely evening dinner with a friend , attentive service , nice food , tasty , nicely presented , although the steak could have been a tad hotter , would return .
As a nearby resident I always find that Cote has a varied and interesting menu with very good service and value for money. But our last visit with a new comer the Steak Tartare and the Breton Fish stew (with chips) were superb. The restaurant itself is warm and welcoming. Your staff can knock spots off Michelin Star type establishments. I always look forward to you special offers. Gillian Danos
lovely evening / great food and had a very good table at the front of the restaurant. I would recommend the chicken . we will definately go back
Not up to usual standard. Service patchy eg (took a long time to get and pay the bill and no-one helped with our coats) and steaks a little overdone
Food adequate but we were left rather too long without a drinks order being taken, and mains took a long time to appear. Not cheap for what we had.
the food was fantastic, staff was lovely they made as feel very much at home, great value for money, would recommend to family and friends, looking forward to are next visit
We were a party of three having lunch midweek. The 2-course set menu is excellent value, with a good choice of dishes. I ate crispy langoustine tails, followed by mushroom parmentier - both delicious. The service is friendly and efficient. A great experience all round.
Good experience - nice food, prompt and accurate service. Only slight disappointment was that we couldn't order the dish that we specifically came to the restaurant for, as they had run out.
Highgate cote is always great and the service is great too. Always enjoyed going here and hope to go more often. I find the loyalty thing a touch confusing though
Food and service is generally very good at Cote Highgate. However we ordered steak frite, one to be cooked medium well and the other blue. Both came up medium rare and had to be sent back. Replacements came that were slightly better.
We went tonight for my mother’s 88th birthday.12 months ago, she fell broke her pelvis, collar bone & wrist, & she admitted tonight that during the 6 months in hospital , the thought of walking back in here - especially at some meal times kept her going! So it was always going to be a visit to look forward to. And we were in no way let down. Everything was excellent, the food the service. A perfect night. Thank you.
Booking through the website was not registered at the restaurant. Luckily it was not too busy and they were able to give us a table. Waiter was a bit in a rush. Food was lovely
The food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was lovely. However, our waitor, although well-meaning, asked questions like 'Are you ready for drinks now? Would you like dessert? Is your food nice?' only at my partner and not me. I think it was because of nerves but it was rude.
Very pleasant service and a good main dish. The crêpe Grand Marnier was a little disappointing, too much orange was added and I think that the crêpe should have been warm not cold. Nevertheless a very good evening was had.
Fabulous quality food, as ever and high level of service. A very enjoyable afternoon. I would highly recommend the Crab Mayonnaise starter - absolutely delicious!
Plenty of space and excellent range of choices on the menu. Service was attentive but not obtrusive and the overall dining experience was very good.
Good food, good service, friendly atmosphere. Always consistently good service and food. Best local restaurant around. Ideal for after work bite to eat or celebration dinner
Dissapointed that they had run out reasonably early this Sunday of the Nov special pan roasted cod and only told as we were ordering but will try on another visit. Love this venue, the team and chilled weekend atmosphere. Food always good.
Typical good as per Normal. Recommend the lunchtime early evening menu for value for money.
Food was good but unfortunately waiter was rather aggressive that unsettled us to begin with. We appreciated the complementary bottle of wine, thank you for that
Cote is very reliable. We usually go to the Camden Town Cote, which has a more varied clientele reflecting the diversity of the area, whereas Cote Highgate is very - Highgate. Which is fine. The food at the two is the same. It's good and I'm really interested in how you achieve such good results, comparable to a good Paris bistro, on a mass scale. I should love to know how economies of scale are achieved, how much the microwave is used etc., as the food usually seems as if it has been prepared on site. The service varies, but usually the waiters are friendly, even if busy and the atmosphere at both restaurants is lively without being too noisy. I like the decor, which again reproduces a French bistro atmosphere very successfully.
The lunch menu is always pretty good value, but I and my two friends found the service at the Highgate branch lacking compared with for example Muswell Hill. Also, the food on the lunch menu wasn't really served as described - my companions couldn't locate the sauce vierge that was supposed to accompany their hake. I asked for an additional helping of lentils with my pork and received a teaspoon. But the pork was tender and tasty, even though the accompanying salad was extremely sparse. Won't be rushing back, there are better welcomes in other branches.
Good value for money, but my breaded pork shoulder cut contained a large piece of fat, disguised by the coating; however my eggs florentine starter was perfect...
Service very good at beginning but person serving us finished her shift and the person who took over did not know what was going on. Food good.
This is a very reliable chain. The food is always well prepared and the service friendly. Portion size seems to have gone smaller recently though.
We all ordered the vegetarian breakfast and loved it - one of us doesn't eat eggs and was allowed to have something else as a replacement, another couldn't have soya and the delicious veggie sausage didn't contain soya. It was nicely presented. The eggs looked pretty, like plump comets and were cooked to perfection. With red, light and dark green, yellow and brown, it was a colourful, nutritious breakfast. The coffee and juices were of good quality. We'll be back.
Had a lovely meal with the complimentary bottle of wine. Food and drink were excellent and staff were very attentive. Will certainly be returning soon.
My favourite restaurant. Brilliant, friendly service and rhe food is beyond compare. would recommend it to anyone.
The Salad Nicoise was quite average. Not enough salad leaves and didn’t feel fresh and crunchy! On the other hand, the toilets were really clean and good provision of paper towels, unusually!
We had an enjoyable evening meal in a delightful setting. The food is excellent and the staff attentive. We had a 3 course meal and a glass of wine each which, with an inclusive 12 1/2% service charge, totalled £75. A bit pricey but nice for a special treat.
Went Saturday night. Very noisy as there was a private party at one end of the restaurant. The tables are very close together but food and service good.
Lively buzzy restaurant, good food and very friendly service. Easy to park. Visit regularly and am always happy to return. Great and varied choices at reasonable prices.
It would have been six except for the high noise levels. We eat regularly at the Cote in Muswell Hill which is quieter - not sure just why, but maybe Highgate has something to learn from Muswell Hill?
