Cote - Very good food and good staff. Family friendly too
As usual great service from the team at Côte Kingston - food was excellent and service great .. place was buzzing and packed - great menu that is always slightly seasonal so there is always a surprise.... specials were excellent!
On a Saturday evening the restaurant was busy and buzzy, the service was attentive and friendly and our meal was very good at this level of cuisine and reasonably good value. We really enjoyed our evening
Great venue with friendly and attentive staff. Always good service and lovely food. Somewhere to look forward to going to
Lovely meal as always .service very slow today ,Saturday May BH
always good here The only niggle was the lamb was the medium side of rare but not really a problem Love Cote
Very nice with pleasant Service and good food. Will come back
Really tasty vegetarian breakfast in a lovely setting. Friendly and excellent staff made it a lovely breakfast experience. Would thoroughly recommend especially sitting outside when the weather is nice.
Celebrating a birthday. Great food, attentive staff. The blood orange martini was fabulous. The sea bass with fennel was delicious, a good time had by all.

The food was lovely and glad I booked in advance as it was extremely busy on Good Friday particularly with the lovely weather. Despite being busy we were not rushed and given p!entry of time to make our selection from the menu. My only grumble is that my guests were stopped from entering the restaurant and told to wait. My husband had to collect them from the queue!
We had our favourite table and view of the river. Friendly staff and great GF menu
Friendly host and on time followed by an efficient service team and great food - amazing mothers day brunch thanks to all the great staff Always clean and well presented
Had lunch here with friends. Waitresses were lovely and could not do more for us. Food was well cooked and tasted as food should. This is now my favourite restaurant.
Great service and food, wish I could remember our waiters name as he was amazing very attentive could not fault, will defiantly be back.
Appalling! Cold, unfriendly, unengaging, robotic staff. Starters ok although I could not taste the crab in the crab mayonnaise. However both main courses, chicken and sea bass, were over cooked, dried out and looked like they had been kept warm for ages. Side of peas was cold. Never again!
Love cote have been twice this week already however staff at Kingston a little surley which is a shame as food fab!! A couple of complaints mainly due to staffs attitude all and all though thoroughly enjoyable xx
Very obliging staff - our waitress tried to cater to our every need. The food was delicious and eating early, we were given a choice of table.
Eight of us dined here on a busy Tuesday night and were well taken care of. The food is good, but it was the service that made the evening. We were well looked after.
Excellent service and atmosphere Food always good the specials menu gets better and better. The noise level is high but somehow it does not seem to matter that much.
Excellent food always consistent, staff are friendly, give an excellent service and the atmosphere on the river is fabulous
Loved it as usual - Hugh standards of friendly, professional service and excellent value for money. Only difficulty was deciding which menu to go for!
Always a lovely atmosphere, good food and service. My go-to restaurant in Kingston.
The food is always great, however when we went on mother's Day my wife's fillet steak looked rather small in comparison to my Mum's. We politely enquired if it looked right and the manager/maitre d' advised (he was quite brusque) all steaks are 7oz and that because the steak is well done it had shrunk. However, when my wife cut into the steak it was only medium (she'd asked for well done) so I'm not sure this argument stacks up. We decided not to bother sending it back as it was mother's Day and getting another would take time and put a dampener on the evening. In my opinion the maitre d'/manager should have asked if my wife was happy and asked if she wanted to send it back, he gave neither option, he simply made a statement of fact that the steak is 7oz, hence why service is only marked as average. Other than that we had a lovely meal.
Went there for my husbands birthday. We ordered starters, unfortunately my husbands did not arrive and we had to chase it up. Our plates were not cleared away for a long period of time after we had finished and we had a long wait for the mains. Too much cream in the mussels for my liking. The mains were nice, we had the rib eye and sea bass. We had booked a table but they didn't seem to have the booking on the system. Good location by the river and very busy for a Tuesday. Had previously been with a friend for lunch and that was very nice. One thing to mention, if you want a quiet romantic meal, it is very noisy and hard to hear people speaking!
From start to finish was excellent both food & lovely staff
A busy Good Friday and we really wanted a table outside, which I did request but didn't read the small print! Had I known we'd be on a list for outside tables then I probably would have got there earlier!
Great welcome, food lovely as always and enjoyed our blood orange cocktail- thanks. The timings between each course are good too, main course doesn’t arrive straight after starter!
Great food, great service and very reasonably priced. I love eating at all of the Cotes restaurants as they always deliver on all of the above.
The food was delicious and staff were very attentive. The only thing that let it down was that the atmosphere and ambience inside the restaurant was very noisy and extremely busy, so wasn’t a very relaxing Sunday lunch... it was quite a relief to leave!
We wanted to eat before going to the theatre. Vote provides a varied quick menu which is excellent value. The service is friendly and efficient. We are sure to visit again.
Always a great dining experience at this classic French brasserie with a simple yet generous menu, great food and polished service
Great food with fantastic service. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, food came very quickly. Steak tartare was delicious which I had as a main course rather than a starter.
Would highly recommend this restaurant . I have been before for a meal with friends the food & sevice is just fabulous and consistent. See you again soon.
A very good lunch with friends. My mussels were too salty- but everything else was well cooked! Pork crackling excellent. My husband enjoyed the linguine. Chicken dish the usual high standard and not overdone. Thank you Cote
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, service fast friendly and efficient. Value for money, cannot find fault with Cote Brasserie, Kingston. Good choice of food on the menu, generous portions
Really enjoyed my Mother’s Day breakfast at cote Kingston. We were warmly greeted and seated promptly. Service was first class. This was the first time that my 18 year old son could afford to take me out and even though he was paying he commented on the fact it was very good value for money. Have been several times before and look forward to many more. Thank you.
We are regular visitors to Cote. The food is great and the staff are friendly and evidently well trained. We look forward to our next visit. Christine de Blangy
Cheerful & polite staff blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
Always a pleasure visiting Cote- Kingston, food is never rushed so you know its been freshly cooked, service is steady and always greeted with a warm welcome!
Belatedly celebrating my birthday with two old school friends. The food was delicious, had my second roast pork belly here and again was not disappointed. The waiting staff were friendly and efficient, the atmosphere in the restaurant was great and not too noisy. We arrived at 1.15 p.m. and left the restaurant at 5.30 p.m.! Hence to say we will be back!
Pleasantly welcomed, although we were early. Quiet, but it busied up. Solicitous service commenced with a thoroughly quechable (?) and refreshing gin cocktail to celebrate March, gratis! I enjoyed my simple choice of courses -Roquefort salad and steak frites, but could still cast an envious eye across the table at a grilled Breton chicken. Good choice, too!
LOVELY MEAL AND SERVICE GREAT. THE ACOUSTICS ARE DREADFUL IN THIS RESTAURANT.
Great breakfast, atmosphere and service. Happy to recommend it to friend and family. Family friendly place. Looking forward our next visit soon. Thanks for the hospitality.
Excellent service and superb food! Fabulous family outing all in party were fully satisfied!
Friendly welcome, efficient and friendly table service. Tomato salad I ordered tasted good but the avocado chunks were a little too brown. omelette was tasty too with a good amount of filling. Crème caramel was delicious and served with a smile.
Excellent food and service, generous portions. Cheapest wine very acceptable, complemented the fish perfectly.
We were 6 for lunch yesterday. It was crowded inside as it was raining. It was extremely noisy We had the menu at 19.50. 3 of us liked our food but out friends left nearly all of their chicken saying it was dry and spongy. Staff should have asked if anything was wrong. The staff was pleasant l and service was prompt.
Hi, we are regular diners at your restaurants, so when I received the email offering a free apparitif and what really looked like some exciting specials, I made a booking using the email link at the Kingston restaurant for Saturday 2nd March. Therefore, perhaps you can understand our disappointment when we asked for the complimentary G&T only to be told it didn’t show on their system and therefore we were not eligible. The manager suggested I rebooked while we were at the table, so re-entering all my details we eventually became eligible for the offer. When the waiter came to take our order, we both chose the Monk Fish off the March Specials menu, only to be told it was sold out? This seemed to be surprising given that it was only the second day of the month? Can you please ensure that your monthly specials are really available and make sure your booking system recognizes booking that include any offers. Finally, your table service is normally really excellent. However, on Saturday we had to ask the waiter to take away empty glasses, bowls and plates during the meal as the table was getting cluttered. It was probably just an oversight or a new member of the team, but it wasn’t up to the normal standard. Keep the excellent menu’s and customer service please, we do enjoy dining at Cote. Best regards Francis
It couldn’t have been better. The staff were brilliant, they weren’t disruptive but made sure empty plates and glasses were taken as needed, and delivering food in the same manner. We were never pestered about how we felt about the meal but equally we were catered for. The food was absolutely stunning and the chef deserves the highest compliments. The restaurant was so busy but the manager had everything under control perfectly. The sun was shining without a cloud in the sky, what a wonderful meal. We had complimentary drinks due to a birthday celebration and I was so happy there was no over the top song or anything to draw attention. Côte Brasserie couldn’t do a thing wrong if they tried!
Service and food were great - just what we needed! The restaurant was busy and bustling and had a great atmosphere. We will definitely go again.
