Excellent food and service. The steak was a perfect medium rare
Three dining unfortunately my sirloin steak had gristle running through it and we were overcharged for our drinks the bill was corrected when I pointed it out
We had a wonderful meal on Wednesday at Lewes. Upon our arrival, my partner was given a glass of Winter fizz as we were celebrating his birthday. Our waitress, Miriam actually went to the same school as me and was in the year below me so it was lovely being served by her. She was attentive, gave us enough time to order and continued to smile, take the time to chat with us even though the restaurant was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday! We had the Prestige menu and as a pescatarian I was really happy with the selection - the stand out dish was the seabass with gratin potatoes. My partner had a steak and it was cooked perfectly. Overall, thank you Cote for making my partners birthday so lovely!
Very enjoyable evening and good quality food. Thank you will be back.
Cote in Lewes is the prefect venue to catch up with friends or colleagues over some really good value food :)
We were In The front room which has just a wonderful atmosphere, just what you need on a cold and wet Winters day.
The service was friendly and helpful and the food was very good. We will certainly be returning very soon.
Fab meal as always, excellent wines . Our favourite restaurant.
We had a delicious meal at Cote Brasserie in Lewes, East Sussex. With a warm welcome and an attentive waiter. Altogether a great experience for our first visit to a Cote Brasserie
Lovely Sunday lunch in relaxed but attentive surroundings. Waited a little while for our food as the restaurant was busy but quickly given olives and bread on the house when it was mentioned. Always, without fail, a lovely meal.
Nice atmosphere with attentive staff. Good food choice and not too fussy, so very pleasant way to spend an evening
My husband and I met up with a good friend here as it is a midway point for us. We had a lovely time. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and were totally charming from arrival to departure. I think the food here was better than other Cotes we have visited, although they are all very good. Also unlike other Cotes the tables were more generously spaced so we didn't feel at all cramped. We stayed much longer than planned and noticed that a few of our fellow-diners who had been there before us were also happily lingering over more wine and coffees. We enjoyed ourselves so much we have made a date to go back in the New Year! Thank you so much to everyone there for a delightful lunch.
Very noisy, unable to converse across table. Probably a problem for wait person too, who brought sparkling wine instead of sparkling water I ordered. Waited a long time for bill after requesting it.
Excellent food as always. A regular treat now as such great gluten free choices
Fabulous gluten free options, such a treat to have such choice
Excellent service excellent food most enjoyable I'll come back thank you very much to be read in an Irish accent. Mature lady guests also enjoy the experience very much thank you.
Lovely food and wine and service with a smile in a nice atmosphere.
Great location, great food, great friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
Such a comfortable and relaxed venue for breakfast with friends.
Decent, attentive service and very good food. Overall very good.
As always, the food, service and ambience were first-class. Still the finest creme caramel in the world !
Lovely meal, excellent service. Our waitress was charming and very efficient. We were visiting for Lewes Bonfire and great to have had supper at Côte Lewes before watching the main procession.
We took a young Japanese family for a late breakfast. The 3 and 6 yr old children were very boisterous and staff coped brilliantly. Another good tourist experience for them to remember.
Usual good standard of food and service. Love the creme caramel.
Great ambience. Food excellent. Busy restaurant for a mid week night
IT WAS A VERY WET DISMAL DAY BUT THE VISIT TO THE RESTAURANT WAS WELL UP TO THE STANDARD WE HAVE COME TO EXPECT FROM COTE.
Staff very attentive, breakfast delicious and good value. Needed a bigger table for four of us though

It was pouring rain all day and we were in need of something warm and hearty - you just can't beat Cote's onion soup and boeuf bourguignon to hit the spot. Along with the wonderful, friendly service we had the perfect evening to end a wet and windy day
Pleasant brunch on an extremely wet and dismal day. Restaurant full of equally happy eaters.
Great service, cool cocktails, delicious seasonal pudding and lovely building.

Yet another lovely evening at Cote Lewes. The staff are always friendly and attentive. The only disappointment this time was that at 5:30 the boeuf bourguignon was off the menu. Will definitely visit again soon.
We wanted a table that was by the window, which was empty when we arrived. We went to sit down and was told that the table was reserved... In the past when I asked to reserve a particular table, I was told that Cote has a strictly no reserve policy and it was it was on a first come first served availability. Make your mind up Cote.....
A very good meal and evening for the wife and I
Food was good but tables were much too close together. Wine is pricey.
Good service as always. Delicious food and friendly staff. A great place to take friends for a breakfast treat.
Lovely food, good atmosphere and friendly staff. Fresh, tasty varied
As usual we experienced perfect service, all our waiters were attentive, friendly and smiley! Great food and ambience, brilliant all round!
very pleased that we were accommodated with our pram, excellent customer care. Nice menu, very well served. One thought; maybe because we are regular visitors, my grandchild says she wishes the drawing pack was changed from time to time, she is disappointed to have the same one over and over many thanks
Just all good thank you Just all good thank you
The only thing wrong with the food were the beans served with the sea bream. Otherwise it was a very pleasant meal and enjoyable experience.
Lovely evening. Early evening menu is excellent value and good service provided with a smile.
I enjoyed everything apart from the food! I was disappointed to find that the quality of cooking had gone down markedly since I was last there a couple of years ago when I had really enjoyed the food. I believe it hadn't long been open then, so they had a good chef. I can't believe the chef is the same now. The food wasn't bad enough to be returned but it certainly wasn't what I would call good and I won't be returning.
Excellent meal, served well in very pleasant surroundings. One of our party was in wheelchair
Lovely meal, best service with friendly staff, attentive but not too much. Buzzy atmosphere even on a Monday night in Lewes!
Two nights running on annual visit to Lewes for Glyndebourne. Different party of 6 this time but standard of service and quality of food still excellent. Will be back next year!
Always reliable if somewhat predictable. Portions are good and well presented
Very good experience, the staff were very friendly. The only issue we had was a very very long wait for our main course due to a big table before us. Was a shame.
Really nice food, and nice people too! Will definitely be back....
As always the food was delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. However we had a table in the back area where they tend to seat larger groups and we could not hear Lou own conversations as it was so noisy. Next time I book I will request a table in the front area of the restaurant as it spoiled our experience.
Have visited a number of Cotes always know food and service to be consistent each time
