Excellent meal but I was overcharged by £7.00 which I didn’t realise until well after I had left. I included the vat and service charge but the bill total did not match the payment I made. It spoilt what would have been a fabulous evening.

A friend and I met for a light lunch. Food was excellent and reasonably priced, as was our French Sauvignon Blanc wine. Would definitely recommend.

Great tasty food and good service. We had a table of eight and still all food arrived together with perfect timing between courses (which was impressive given this was probably the busiest night of the year).

Enjoyed a Friday lunch with friends, so good company and food made it an enjoyable experience!

Service very good, however the haddock pie on the lunch menu was a bit Watery, and they left a large piece of fish skin in the pie which wasn’t very appetising and put me off a bit. Lovely restaurant and decor so will return but wouldn’t go for that pie again

Understanderbly it was very busy with pre Christmas lunches. We were expected and a table was ready. Service throughout was efficient and we were all pleased with our varied choices through 3 courses. All good.

I usually use your branch at Hayward’s Heath which is always consistently outstanding. Despite your restaurant being newer it felt a little tired and la king atmosphere. The starter arrived almost immediately as if pre-prepared , from Prestige menu with the one sprig of pea shoot wilted on top and the gem lettuce brown, not particularly appetising. The main course, poulet grille, was good and as expected as was the coupe noire.

We gathered at Cote for a birthday celebration, 3 of our friends had not been there before and were extremely impressed with the selection of menus and choices. We all had a great time

Lovely staff and they made my mother's 92nd birthday really special. Food was excellent and every good value. Only small comment was that service was very slow. Nearly two hours for a three course meal, which meant our car park time nearly ran out.

We had the prestige menu this time & the meal was very good. The mussels & the chicken were excellent. The service was good. It was very noisy in there as a lot of people were having Christmas meals together, but it is to be expected this time of the year.

After a very accidental soaking by the bartender l was ignored by the staff, and after having to draw their attention to what happened because they didn't want to address it we were then ignored by the staff for another 50 minutes until we left as they had obviously not been trained properly to deal with unhappy customers. We asked for the bill, it was given to us, the member of staff made no explanation that there was a discount for the accident. There was a discount but it would have been normal /polite to point it out. We were made to feel that we were being difficult when we were so not being difficult, l have now got to go home and wash my hair and clothes as l was covered in coffee, liqueur and ice. Staff need to be trained not to treat us as the problem when we were not. I will not be returning

First visit to COTE Lewes..fantastic welcome from Youssef, shown to a very comfortable table at the rear of the restaurant for a family brunch to celebrate a niece's engagement. A complicated order, but delivered faultlessly by Jessica & Miriam and friends...we had all sorts of dietary requirements, but nothing was too much for them, and we all received our selection beautifully presented , on piping hot plates. The juices and coffees were lovely , as too the Mimosas (well , perfect for celebrations). We followed our breakfast with a visit to numerous wonderful independent shops, a walk to the famous Harvey's brewery, and appreciated the great selection that Lewes has to offer. Thank you team COTE Lewes for a lovely experience, led by the very capable Youssef and colleagues. The restaurant was very busy, but they had time for everyone, and please thank the chefs where of course the magic happens!

Service was excellent and our ‘off piste’ request to mix items from different set menus was generously accommodated! There was a huge choice of dishes, something for everyone, and our food was delicious.
