We went to Côte Lewes with a voucher for two for one so the set menu was even better value than usual! Delicious food as always

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Mushroom pastry of high quality, cod dish with no much taste. Wine recommended should have been better with cork. The whole experience was good, however slightly overprice.

We had a brilliant breakfast - I had the vegetarian cooked breakfast, which was delicious, including the vegetarian sausage (something I normally avoid on menus and often it tastes awful). My husband had the French cooked breakfast, which is thoroughly enjoyed. Very pleasant service staff too.

Food was lovely and the waiter was fantastic - very professional and helpful without being pushy. W will go again. It was a lovely evening.

We ordered breakfast and had to wait nearly an hour for it, was on the brink of leaving restaurant, but turn up as we were getting ready to leave, it was for my daughters 16 birthday and found the wait very disappointing

We had a breakfast I had a French breakfast and my husband had a full English both with coffee and orange juice. Both were cooked very well and tasted equally as good. I must say the coffee was excellent. We shall return. Overall breakfast as good as your lunches and dinners. The service was also very good attentive but not over the top. Cathy

This is about the 6th time I have been to cotes in lewes, and again another lovely meal and great staff can’t fault this restaurant it delivers every time.

We received Very good service and excellent food. The pork belly was great as was the smoked salmon starter and calamari. The cheese was ok but for a fancy vased restaurant could have been better. Nice atmosphere. Will definitely return

Excellent as ever, great atmosphere, very attentive and friendly service, excellent food. This is consistent over all the Cote restaurants but particularly good at Lewes.

The 2 of us had lunch on Saturday at this popular restaurant. The food as usual was excellent, well presented, hot, tasty and well seasoned. We had a very good bottle of French merlot. The service was also excellent, not too fast nor too slow, attentive and friendly. The only small negative comment that could be made was the pastry on the Tart Citron was a bit soggy, but the flavour was great. Altogether a very enjoyable meal. 2 main courses, 2 desserts, 2 coffees, bottle of wine and 12.5% service charge came to £76.

Busy as always, although quite noisy!! Helpful knowledgeable and friendly waiting staff. Menu has something for everyone. They even called us a taxi which was great on a rainy night!

Good food, comfortable seating. Busy evening so service was a little slow but staff were friendly. The creme caramel was a hit, as was the chocolate fondant!

Delicious food at a reasonable price with fantastic service. A once dilapidated building where I used to work is now a tastefully decorated restaurant with a lovely ambiance so a great overall experience.

We loved our meal. Took advantage of the 3 courses before 7pm. Cute table by the window. Cosy surroundings with that French flair. Great time.

It is always a pleasure to eat here. I will be back again this weekend with a friend for lunch. I am sure that we will not be disappointed.

We had a very friendly welcome and were given plenty of time to choose our meals. The food was delicious and the service efficient. The only down side was the added service charge of 12.5 per cent.

The swordfish steak was excellent. It had been recommended to me by a friend and it did not disappoint. (Well, maybe it could have been bigger!) The service was also excellent. Though they charge 12.5% for it. Good value, all round. One of our favourite restaurants in Lewes.

As always Cote came up trumps for my sister's birthday celebrations. The staff were great, the food and wine asalways up to such a high standard. We took advantage of the free kir royales which gave our lunch a great start. We have eaten in the Brighton, Richmond and Haywards Heath restaurants as well and Cote have delivered impeccable service every time. Thank you we will be back!

Good food and service, as in all Côte restaurants. Our first visit to the Lewes branch. Big space, but divided into smaller sections. Lighting a bit dim. Parking an absolute nightmare!

Normally reliable, buzzy and friendly, Cote Brasseries are usually a great place to pop in for something well prepared and efficiently served in very congenial surroundings. Unfortunately our visit to Lewes was not up the usual standards. Amateurishness amongst the satff (they lack a Maitre d' I suspect) meant that we were pestered and hurried and interupted and asked the same question numerous times, all while we were trying to catch up after a busy day. Starters were fine, my wife's Pea soup was delicious and my muscles were good value and very good. My wife ordered Vegetable Couscous which was bland and uninteresting, the seared courgettes having hardly seen the grill, and my minute steak, advertised as being served pink, was over-cooked and tough. They changed it without a quibble and the replacement was delicious. The fries are excellent. I also had a Creme Caramel whch was very good. The wine was cheap and cheerful, it wasn't meant to be a grand occasion, and you can't do etter for £16.50 - the whole meal was good value at £48odd inc. service, but the bill was slow to arrive, and when we left there was not a single member of staff in sight (at 7.10pm). I think that any restaurant really should always have someone around to make sure customers don't feel like they're slinking out unnoticed and under valued, as we did. More staff training would help to ensure that this brach of Cote Brasserie lives up to the generally very good reputation enjoyed by most of the chain.

Excellent service, lovely location and amazing food, as always. I’ve eaten at Cote Lewes several times and have never been disappointed. Highly recommend a visit.

HAd a lovely dinner with family. They were very accommodation towards my sons special request (he's a fussy eater). Food came promptly and was delicious. Highly recommended

I have been to Cote in Lewes 4 times now. It seems every member of staff is very personable and helpful. The service has always been very good and each waiter / waitress has been very attentive. We ate there on New Years Eve and they gave us a bottle of Sparkling wine free to celebrate with them. The ambiance is very nice in there. I would highly recommend to anyone. It must be good as they get booked up very quickly in advance !

Service good as ever and ambience good but food disappointing. overcooked duck, way too salty, felt like it had been sitting in a warm place for ages before being served. Tiny portion of fries for £4 and ditto spinach. Overpriced for average food.

I visited for an early evening meal with a colleague. Friendly staff, good set menu, pleasant decor. The lost star was due to fish not completely deboned and a little dry. The salad and potato puree it came with was delicious, and pudding was scrumptious.

Food always consistently good and service friendly if at times slow. Lewes branch accoustics on a busy Saturday make hearing challenging ! Worth a visit

We were a party of six, nothing seemed to be any trouble for the staff, very attentive but not in your face. Food was excellent, we took a cake with us for our daughters birthday which the staff found candles for and even all came out with it to sing 'happy birthday' which was a nice touch. All in all a very enjoyable experience thanks to the great team there.

Friendly staff, lovely ambience and the usual excellent Cote food. Just allow a couple of minutes to find the toilets as they are not very near.
