Very good meal and the recommended wine was also very fine, the four of us had a really nice evening. Twenty five words as comment is too many!

Went there for a graduation meal with the family, very easy to book. the place was a good layout and good ambience. There is fantastic food and excellent service!!

The food was very good and perfectly cooked and the staff were friendly and made us feel welcome, the service was good and the choice of food covered a good range.

The food and service were excellent, until the bill came with 2 extra items, so marked down a point. We will give them another chance in the future.

Disappointed in selections from menus. Although there seemed massive choice, most of the ingredients were the same done in different ways. Cote Lewes started well but we are now getting tired of any of the menus, as there are no new ideas for innovative food.

Excellent food, friendly polite staff, courteous and attentive without being obtrusive. Cote delivers great value for money and it's always a pleasure to eat there.

Only the 3 course set menu was available. I wasn’t told about this when I booked. This resulted in a discussion about choices and price, not the way to start a valentine day meal.

Had yet another fantastic meal at cotes, the staff are always friendly and attentive the food is amazing and the same for the wine choice too, I shall be returning again very soon.

First visit to this Cote. Lovely tasty food Great value with the lunch/early evening two/three course menu. Good service. Table slightly small but that is being picky.

Warm welcome, efficient service, lovely ambience from lighting and interior design and delicious food. We had a lovely booth for 5 of us and thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

We were a table of 7 on a Monday evening, seated in the back part of restaurant. The waiting staff were very amicable, and the food was served all at once, efficiently. However we were left alone for too much of the time, and not easy in our location to get the waiter's attention. The food was good, everyone was satisfied with their meal, although only 1 main course for a vegetarian - a mushroom risotto, which wasn't available, but they did produce a vegetable risotto. Its a beautiful old building, but the decor is soulless.

You could not fault the service or the food. We enjoyed the fish pie and the warm goats cheese salad. Interesting that a manager had to take our food order due to being gluten free. Whilst we appreciate we visited early evening, the restaurant was a little on the colder side than I would have liked. Had to keep on the jumper. A very enjoyable experience and we will be returning

We always enjoy eating at Cote for the reliably good food and friendly waiting staff. I had green risotto and my partner had a chicken dish. Both were tasty, hot and a good portion size. I would have given full marks but we were just slightly disappointed with the choice and quality of wine by the glass. Otherwise whole heartedly recommend, and good value too.

Food was excellent. Attentive service. The menu however had a limited choice forvegetarians or vegans. Good ambience and noise levels made a comfortable evening out.

Delicious food. Lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff. 12½% service charge is a bit steep though. Makes it an expensive meal. You can ask for it to be remove but that would be embarrassing. Doesn’ Put me off going again though.

Very nice first visit to Cote in Lewes Will definitely be returning. Service could be a little bit quicker when there aren't many tables being served at 5pm.

Lovely welcoming and helpful waiters so service was good. There was a good choice on the special lunch menu. The food was good - we had a slightly long wait but they were very busy. I am told the venison dish was particularly good. We didn't manage pudding although the dessert menu looked tempting. An added blessing was no intrusive music so all in all it was a very pleasant relaxed lunch

I couldn't fault the food, service or surroundings. Very good menu and everything was delicious. A little pricey maybe, but you obviously get what you pay for.

Staff excellent but a little disappointed with my main course. Have had the same dish, coq au vin, at different branch and was very good but this one was served quite dry and did not have the flavour I was expecting.

Food was good, service was rather slow and unenthusiastic. It was a Friday night and there were four of us so the restaurant should have been geared up for a busy evening.

Good food from a very attractive menu. We love Cote. The venison cottage pie was full of rich flavour and everything is always well presented.

Potatoes described as mashed were crushed/lumpen rather than smooth. Menu typeset too small to read without brighter lighting. Seating somewhat squashed - far too close to nearby diners. Otherwise pleasant enough.

Very good visit. Good service and attentive waiting staff. Each engaged with comfort and ease and processed the event smoothly efficiently and well. We are not new to the site and appreciate Cote standards are undiminished. Very similar to other sites visited.

We took friends with us for breakfast for their first time. One of us had the veggie option. All had the Formule. Excellent value, quality and the usual high standard of service. They thoroughly enjoyed it - and so did we - again!!

Excellent, value for money three course lunch in nice surroundings with a good atmosphere and excellent service. This Cote Brasserie delivers consistently good French bistro style cooking at a reasonable price, supported by friendly, efficient front of house staff. What is not to like? Whether you live in Lewes or are just visiting, you should give it a try....you will not be disappointed.

Enjoyable meal in my old (LLoyds) bank! The food was good, nicely served. The only very small comment was that the fish pie was dangerously hot. I like my food hot, but not scorchingly hot. Unlike some places, even though it was busy, one call could still hear to have a quiet conversation Looking forward to our next visit.

As always a very pleasant visit to Cote in Lewes. Excellent food and even in a very busy restaurant the service was attentive and courteous. A relaxed atmosphere and always our first choice when choosing a place to eat.

There are not enough tables for two in the main part of the restaurant. We were offered a table in a side room all on our own or a table in a corridor. The food was tasty and wine offer made things good value but will consider whether to visit again.

This is my second visit to Cote in Lewes and I regret that whilst the food and service were up to the usual Cote high standards the atmosphere was very much on the dull side. Most Cotes I visit are 80% full and have a lively atmosphere, Lewes was probably less than 30 % full. Don't know why, other than the restaurant is a bit of a hike out of the busy part of town.

All good and just what we hoped for. Attentive staff, wide ranging menu, well cooked and enjoyed, though note the Kir Royale is sparkling wine unless you ask for champagne!

Lovely restaurant in a building I actually worked in when it was originally a Bank !! Good atmosphere, attentive staff and gorgeous food. My husband said it's the best steak he's ever had.

Excellent and friendly service. Always imaginative menu and everything is beautifully presented. This is fast becoming my favourite place to eat in Lewes. Highly recommended.

My friends and I were greeted by friendly staff and we had a great meal served quickly. We enjoyed a complimentary bottle of wine through Cote Rewards. We recommend this restaurant for its food and service.
