Very nice evening. Food was excellent and the staff very attentive. Nice atmosphere and I would certainly recommend it to other people. Great evening out.

Very pleasant restaurant with good service and lovely food - what more do you need on an evening out except perhaps less pricey wine !!

It is so good to have a regular change of menu and to know that all dishes will be very well prepared. We are certainly regular visitors.

Booking easy on line. Food good. Waiting attention good. Wine excellent. Table spacing good. Overall good value. Restaurant a little noisy but generally very enjoyable.

My friends that I came with are both allergic to onions and enormous effort was made by the staff to make sure every item on their menu was onion free, which was very much appreciated.We all really enjoyed a super lunch, delightfully served.

Very enjoyable and good quality food. The only downside would be the selection of beers available in a chain restaurant. I am surprised that being in a town with a brewery there is none of the local Harvey's beer available.

Great service and great food all delivered at a great price. A window seat is great too. The kir royale and wine are good value and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Lovely food, excellent service and great atmosphere. This visit was for a wedding anniversary celebration dinner. We have been a number of times previously for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and will be back again.

The food was very good but the waiting staff seemed very pressurised. and therefore not very friendly. There was a long wait between courses which didn't really matter but my husband did have to go and feed the meter when we hadn't finished after nearly 2 hours.

It is always such a pleasure to dine at Cote ! The service is faultless and the food is always exceptional ! Well done again to all involved another perfect lunch !

We both enjoyed our first visit to the Cote - from the initial welcome from the staff, the ambience was superb, the back ground music unobtrusive and enjoyable and the food was excellent - well cooked (the best salad nicoise I have ever had and my husband's french onion soup was great). The staff were attentive to our needs and the whole experience was one to be repeated soon - we hope.

Very good atmosphere God food and very attentive staff what more could one want . Good car parking nearby would be a great help for old cloggers like me .

Always a pleasure to eat at Cote and this visit was no exception. Reception and service was to the usual high standard . The lunch meal comprising Whitebait, Toulouse Sausages with Puy Lentil & Carrots was beautifully prepared and presented followed by the obligatory Creme Caramel. Always just the right amounts. Highly recommended.

Excellent food, excellent service. One small point perhaps there should be a small chocolate or small biscuit when tea / coffee is ordered at the end of a meal.

Wonderful food, friendly staff and an all round nice atmosphere - just a shame there wasn’t a bigger drink choice for the non alcoholics. Highly recommended!

The service was very good and the food was lovely, thought quite pricy by the time you added your sides of vegetables, which were not included in the price of the main. Two slight complaints were the lighting was quite dim, making it hard to read the menu and the loos are a long way away with stairs, which would be difficult for elderly people. Otherwise enjoyable experience and loved the free red wine.

very friendly and hard working staff,the atmosphere is amazing,clean and tidy.the service is second to none.the food was excellent and enjoyed by all the family,we have 2 teenage girls and they loved it plenty of choice,which is handy as our eldest girl is gluten free. Pre warning though is expensive,but value for money.

Cote is very reliable in its food & service, and so too this time, but lost marks because my friend's apple crumble had a soggy topping & the apple tasted more bottled/tinned than fresh.

I find the 'optional' 12.5% service charge added automatically to the bill rather irritating. I would much prefer to choose whether or not to give what we would call a tip, and if so, how much. This effectively raises all their prices by 12.5%, and is therefore rather dishonest. It is still a very pleasant place to go, and the staff are friendly.

Really nice first visit to this branch of Cote with an old friend. Very friendly staff and efficient service. Food was great - nicely sized portions and really hot

Lovely waitress, good food and great price. Had set menu for 4, 2 bottles of wine, a Rickard, an amaretto, a green tea and cappachino all for under £130

Excellent service, good value and atmosphere. We definitely recommend an early Friday evening visit. As we live locally will be making plans to come more often.

Nice premises, our first trip to this restaurant. Good host on arrival he walked us through the restaurant and gave us a choice of tables. Service was fine too, nice meal.

Food and service excellent even after at least 7 visits - includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Looking forward to our next visit. Cote is a great addition to the Lewes scene.

Service and food excellent. The steak frites is especially good. We used the free bottle of wine from Viva Lewes which was very good. Also do try the chocolate mousse

Great service with just the right amount of attention, in a convivial atmosphere. The food was all delicious and well presented. The complimentary bottle of wine was a welcome addition too!!

Four of us had three really good courses in an atmosphere that permitted proper conversation - no loud music, and good space between tables. Food was consistent in quality, wine very good and a special joy was the service of the tall young waiter who looked after us - efficient, not intrusive, helpful, good-humoured and courteous. We shall definitely return.

What a treat. Cotes seem to have the ability to turn a salad dressing into something special. All 3 courses were a pleasure to eat. Also lovely ambiance in a beautifully restored character building.

Food was good. Service was friendly but inattentive. Toilets were not maintained. 7 on end of special price menu caused the restaurant to be overloaded and thus food was delayed. Atmosphere was buzzy and decor was smart. Was very expensive for some of the average dishes.

First time me and my boyfriend went to Cote for dinner. Absolutely incredible evening! Friendly and helpfull staff and amazing food! Definately go there again soon!

The service, food and atmosphere was incredibly. I couldn’t pick a single fault with my evening. The staff are so accommodating and pleasant. I would recommend the calamari!

Amazing! Cannot wait to return, customer service was faultless. The crêpe dessert was unbelievably good!!!

Service was slow, poor liaison between staff, tray carrier not spotted by waiter leading to service delay, food not hot and whitebait was soggy. All in all a disappointment this time.

Service in terms of food arriving a bit slow but everything else was fab. Food was excellent as was the wine; service was otherwise exemplary. Only other -ve was that the marble table we were at had a smear of food across it.

My wife and i went there for her birthday and was treated extremely well buy the staff, the food was very tasty and well presented in a timely fashion in a pleasant restaurant

A bit over priced. Wine was £25 A bottle. Food came out at different times. Ignored by staff when wanting to pay. Food tasted nice though
