Went in for breakfast before the Brighton match, warm greeting from the staff. Food appeared to be cooked to order and very well presented. Would go again if we were in the area.

I've been to Cote restaurants before, but this was my first visit to Lewes, and I really liked the way it looked. There was plenty of room, tables were not too close together, and there was a nice open feel. The food, as always, was very good. The menus are well planned and balanced, my roasted sea bass was delicious. I will certainly be back!

As a new "Côte" the staff are doing a tremendous job in Lewes and equals the London South Bank and Charlotte Street - well done to all especially the Côte training team and marketing. We had another great night at Cote Brasserie in Lewes. A very warm welcome from the winter chill. Tasty food and attentive service as usual.

Highly recommend excellent food, good service. Restaurant extremely quiet so I’m assuming it won’t be like that for long,once the word spreads! Cote always has an excellent menu to choose from.

Asked for steak to be cooked medium rare and was cooked medium well. They offered to replace but I chose not to as did not want to wait . Bill was incorrectly calculated , so had to bring this to their attention. I like the food and staff reasonably pleasant . Average experience .

Very nice meal, only comment, not much fish in the starter cod ‘fishcake’ Sorry, can’t remember it’s exact name, and chocolate sprinkles on the cappuccinos would have been appreciated, otherwise great. Service excellent.

I love the location of Côte in Lewes; it's great when a building of historic interest can be repurposed. And it's good to have a few more facilities at the top end of town. In my opinion, the coffee there is better than anywhere else in Lewes, and therefore I particularly enjoy going for breakfast. The cooked breakfast 'formule' is a very good deal.

Lovely food and ambiance. Front of house slow to greet us even though it was early evening and the restaurant was not too busy. Also slow to take the order but otherwise a good experience.

This is the first time we have eaten at the Lewes Branch. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal, the surroundings, and the fantastic staff working there, most enjoyable.

Five of us had dinner after the cinema. The service was excellent, the food and wine interesting and delicious. The atmosphere was mellow and lighting perfect.

Staff friendly & helpful Cote menu has excellent choices plus specials the food arrived piping hot all six of us were very happy with our meal food was delicious

Arrived at 6pm on a Thursday night, very pleasant reception and chose a booth towards rear of the restaurant. Had a wonderful three course meal. I had the crab mayo which was very good followed by a rare fillet with tomato salad. The steak was full of flavour and succulent. Wine choices varied and not extortionately priced. Waiter attentive but not intrusive. Not a cheap night out but the three course early bird menu looked good and will try it next time. Agree with other reviewers that service charge though discretionary should not be included in the bill.

One of the 2 main courses was poor (under-cooked, stringy tuna which left my wife nauseous). the other course -- sea bream -- was fine.

We arrived early to find plenty of choice of tables. The service was prompt efficient and friendly. The menu was varied and interesting and as regular customers we enjoyed our complimentary bottle of wine.

We sat in front of the main bar area and watched one of the waiters continuously playing his hands through his hair, his doors on face and in ears! Food was ok though!

Always good food and variety, interesting January menu. Only criticism is that the baked fish comes without any accompaniment, veg needed; to be fair they did not charge for this request.

We received really good service. The New Years menu was very good and worth the money the food delicious. Atmosphere was good/ We will be visiting again.
