Excellent service and very good food. There is even a vegetarian menu. The building interior is fairly average - a little drab compared to other Cotes, especially toward the back.

Food, very good. Service, bit slow. Staff, extremely pleasant. Atmosphere, vibrant. Overall experience, excellent! Would def recommend this branch of Cote. Been to other branches, all very similar.

We love it here - quite busy for a Tuesday which shows they are doing something right. Lovely serving staff and delicious food, we will be eating here again very soon.

My first visit to this branch which is Cotes normal high standard in decor and standards of service and cuisine. The staff were extremely friendly and approachable and very attentive without being overbearing.

Good, tasty food. Noisy atmosphere. We couldn’t hear what our waitress was saying to us. A table for 2 should have been seated away from a noisy party of 10.

Everyone was so friendly, from the time we entered the restaurant until we left.. So many lovely things on the menu, it took ages to decide. Chose the prawn dish and, crab and avocado starters and steak and sea bream for mains, followed by the crepes. Wow the flavours were out of this world. Nice to get a restaurant in Lewes which is worth returning to. We will certainly be returning there. We had a fab evening.

Enjoyable meal, good service, friendly atmosphere. Quite noisy being full on a Friday night. In traditional French style vegetables were extra which you need to remember. Price about what you would expect for this type of meal.

Very friendly staff, varied menu & all of us really enjoyed the food & the whole experience. The steak & the chocolate fondant especially noteworthy.

Food up to usual Cote quality, but restaurant not as busy as other Cotes I visit at lunchtimes. However has only been open 9 weeks so plenty of time to become the got to destination

A good dinner in a nice atmosphere and with good service, my wife and I enjoyed our easy evening out. We shall go there again

Good service, great starter and pudding, but main course lacked lustre (Moules and frites), the cream sauce was very runny and not up to usual standard.

Great food and service as always. Only one criticism- tables for two are so tiny which is rather awkward with continually moving glasses and side plates - this really needs addressing.

Service is good, food is good, olives weren't to my taste but the waitress very kindly removed the cost from the bill. - Minimum of 25 words. -

We had an excellent meal from a wide menu choice. The service also was excellent. The general ambience of the restaurant was very good. We shall return.

Great food great atmosphere. Although slightly more expensive than other restaurants in the town, its well worh the extra. The waiting staff were excellent, very friendly and not monosyllabic like some I have encountered. Even though I always leave a tip normally of around 10% I think 12.5% even though its optinal is a little high. Overall however an experience I will repeat.

Food was excellent, we really enjoyed it all. But the the service was dreadful, not waitresses fault she seemed to have too much to do. We were ignored most of the time and the air conditioning was so cold everyone was putting their coats on. One of our party had to find someone and ask for it to be turned down. It was a shame as we think it could be a very nice place if just a few little things could be put right. We think ? There was a person in charge of it all but she just wandered around and made no eye contact with the tables at all.

This was my 3rd visit to the newly opened cote in Lewes. It has a wonderful atmosphere- buzzing but not noisy. An excellent range of choices at prices to suit all budgets. We took 2 guests with us who hadn’t been before and it has become a firm favourite of theirs too!

Lovely ambience, great staff, good food. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. They enjoyed working there, which is often not the case. A minor problem was addressed thoughtfully, with a concern for the opinions of the customers.

Ambiance was ok, Staff very Helpful, Food was pleasant, Wine choice was good, costs acceptable however, covering the discretionary 12.5% service charge with the restaurant card was a little cheeky!!

On arrival we explained that we were tight for time and so only able to take a one course meal. Unfortunately we then had to wait for 40 minutes for the food to arrive after we had ordered it (a goats cheese salad and a salad nicoise). The waiter was excellent - extremely apologetic and courteous - absolutely NO criticism of him (he also did not charge for the glass of wine); he was an excellent ambassador for your organisation. But I think you need to sort your kitchen out!!

three of us had an early pre-theatre dinner and it was excellent. The specially inexpensive menu has plenty of choice - always including vegetarian options . We shared a starter and then had three different mains and they were all delicious; beautifully cooked, nicely presented and served. This was my third meal at Cote and each has been excellent. The restaurant is a real addition to Lewes' facilities.

Côte arrived in Lewes a few months ago in what used to be a Lloyd's bank branch. They are a smaller chain with a few other branches in the area and I was anxious to give the Lewes offering a try. The interior has an attractive contemporary feel and the low ceiling helps to eliminate the noise that blights so many modern interiors with their emphasis on hard surfaces. The mostly French inspired menu should offer something to please most people and includes several vegetarian options. The staff were friendly and professional. Not the cheapest eat in Lewes, but you can spend a lot more elsewhere and eat no better. I shall be happy to return.

We were particularly impressed that they had listened to our request for a quieter table on what was a very busy Saturday night. Food was the usual high Cote standard.

First time at the Lewes Cote, although been to many others. Food as always very good, also good value, and staff very attentive. Great addition to Lewes and good use of a former Bank. Will definitely be returning.

This is a first rate côte restaurant, the great benefit of cote for regular diners is that you know that you are going to get a decent meal at a reasonable price. This is a very good example of cote and in addition nice atmosphere , friendly helpful and efficient staff

Excellent service and beautiful new restaurant in Lewes. The staff were exceeding helpful in catering to my complex food allergies. Cote is my new favourite place to eat! Highly recommended.

The food was just right for lunchtime - we opted for a starter and a light main; the service was excellent and we felt the staff were well trained; and we enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant, much more calm and relaxing than the Brighton Cote. Next time we will try the breakfasts!

This is my 3rd visit to Cote Lewes but the first with my partner. She rated the food as excellent stating that the Belly Pork was the best she has tasted. For my part I was a bit disappointed with my main of Beef Bourgignon, I thought it was far too dry and very much over salted. Also disappointed that no Moules dish was available in the starter selection. Nonetheless an enjoyable meal, staff were very attentive but not in your face. Definitely coming back.

Very attentive staff, great food, and very professional manager (Michael). We really liked the decor and the price was very reasonable for the quality of food.

Very busy Friday night, but service quite slow and had to ask where food was. We do object on a table of 4 to have 12.5% service charge added to our bill. We know this is optional but shouldn’t be there at all.

We went for lunch and chose 2 courses from the lunch to early evening menu. Normally at Cote you are told your waiter will be with you - this didn’t happen and our waiter was a bit slow to acknowledge us. But that said, drinks arrived. Food was piping hot and tasty. Not sure about the venue, but it was busy so that’s a good sign. I will probably return and meet girlfriends here, but it’s not intimate enough to be with my husband.

Visited for lunch with my daughter and Grandson - looked after very well. Lovely meal, enjoyed by all. Bit expensive! But will be back for more.
