It was excellent service and food on the first night back after lockdown

Really lovely meal. First day this branch had opened after lockdown and the staff could not have been any better

Lovely food, well presented, in a busy and happy atmosphere with friendly staff. We had the lamb rump which was tender, pink and juicy. An excellent evening!

We had a very good time. The service was great and the food was lovely. We could hear each other talk with discreet background music providing a good ambience.

A lovely venue with attentive, friendly staff. The food was very good. Only criticism was that we had to ask for the green beans that we'd ordered and my husband was dissapointed that they had run out of the lamb shank . Good value for money and we will definitely be going there again.

I quite like Cóte, but feel a bit disappointed today. We had to wait ages to for our food, and when it did arrive I felt the portion sizes were quite erratic. 3 out of 5 were a good portion size, but 2 were absoluely tiny. It’s not the cheapest of restaurants and makes you feel cheated (and hungry)

Food was excellent and so was the service. Look forward to our next visit.

Excellent meal and service the selection on the Prestige set menu is really good and far better than most other set menus in other restaurants. We had mentioned when booking it was our wedding anniversary and the waiter arrived with complimentary Kir Royales for us which was lovely. Would highly recommend Cote Lewes for a meal.

Had to wait for our cocktails and then we were charged for them even though they were supposed to be complimentary. Food very good as always

We had a delicious two course meal and especially the gin cocktail which was the special drink of the month. We had brilliant service and there was a relaxed comfortable atmosphere in the restaurant.

A wonderful meal and exemplary service. The staff are so kind and helpful in this fabulous restaurant. Even difficult requests are catered for. It has become a family favourite for us.

Busy with good atmosphere. Food consistent in presentation and taste. I have mentioned a few times that it seems to have lost the brilliant customer service that was there at the outset but it is still pretty good (but with 12.5% added to your bill I guess it should be). Had to get up from our seats twice to ask for drinks.

A spontaneous decision to have lunch turned out brilliantly. We went for a simple selection of minute steaks followed by creme caramels. Simple, yes, but the food was spot on. Well judged steaks, crispy fries. Creme just the right consistency. Darkly sweet caramel. And charming service. Sometimes things really hit the mark and leave you with a smile on your face. This was one of those times.

Good food and good service as usual. Mussels a little over cooked seafood linguini was delicious and the apple crumble was lovely. This was overall a lovely lunch in a nice atmosphere.

Another good meal. Menu could do with an update, apart from specials, it has not changed much for what seems a long time. New dishes not just tweeking existing ones.

We really enjoyed our food but it did take way too long to arrive, the restaurant wasn't paticularly busy so I think our order got misplaced. However, our waitress came over to apologise and told us we would not be charged for our two large glasses of wine, which was much appreciated. I think Cote Lewes offer an excellent level of service and we will be returning.

Great atmosphere in the Lewes Cote. Tables are not to close together, so you don’t feel squashed in. Staff helpful and not too overbearing. Thanks

It was Father’s Day we expected it to be pretty busy and we reserved a table on the day. We were placed at the furthest part of the restaurant which was fine but we found the service to be polite but quite slow. I chose Steak Frites I have tried it in many places and I think Cotes is consistently the very best, overall a pleasant experience

This was my first visit, and I chose Cote Brasserie after reading reviews on line. I was looking for a place to have brunch before going on to Plumpton races with my husband, sister and brother. We all chose something different from the menu and we all were delighted with our food. The variety of cooked breakfast is excellent and you also get juice and a hot drink of your choice with it for under £11. The restaurant is very nicely laid out , and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The staff members were all very welcoming and friendly and I will definitely be returning and recommending to my friends and family.

Excellent food and service, only small complaint was the fatty ribeye steak that my daughter had. A very fine birthday experience overall nevertheless, thank you very much!

There being a problem with your b/band your staff were unable to employ the card payment machine, but that was not their fault. However service , food and ambience excellent.

The service was incredibly slow. It took 25 minutes for our order to be taken and we had to find a waiter to do it. The food took a long time to come through. We arrived at 13:20, had 2 courses and I had to leave just as I completed my main course at 14:40.

We received a very warm welcome and that warmth remained during our whole stay. The restaurant was extremely busy - it was Mother's Day - but the service and quality of food was not affected by that in the slightest. We enjoyed our brunch at a very leisurely pace and there was no hassling to get the table back for lunch. All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.
