Côte Lincoln

Our second visit disappointed by Eggs Benedict starter eaten by two of the party, was very cold and hence dangerous as eggs are traditionally soft poached. My fault should have returned to the kitchen. Other issue was preferred table range not available staff seemed unaware of request Otherwise excellent service, ambience and all other food terrific. This experience will not deter us from visiting again, too good to miss.

Food is very very good as usual. It's always a pleasure to have dinner here.

Friendly staff and they provided great service! Courses also came with perfect timing and the food tasted great! Will definitely come back and visit soon.

Wonderful venue, food, location & service. Edge knocked off only by lack of atmosphere. We were the only guests. It was quiet everywhere in town though. We will certainly be back.

Yet again,a wonderful meal. The plaice was superb. It was complimented by mushrooms and leeks. Delicious! The service was as good as ever. This is my favourite restaurant in Lincoln.

Warm welcome from the staff, we chose the 10 th Birthday menu which included a glass of champagne - very nice too. We all chose different dishes and all were delicious, the calamari here is without a doubt the best I've had . Service and atmosphere all good, all over in all a very special evening.

Despite not being very busy, the waiting staff were not awfully attentive. (Waited a while for order to be taken and had to repeat request for additional glass of wine). One meal not cooked as described but replaced promptly.

Great service food excellent was my Grandaughter's 20th birthday so a family get together in all a great night . Staff were very good eating at 6:30 not to busy or lots of noise though packed a little later.

Great food, great staff, lovely atmosphere and the staff made a very special effort for our sons graduation. Would highly recommend and if ever in Lincoln again would definitely go again

Great food, great service, fab experience. Thoroughly enjoyable lunch with lovely ambience. Moules particularly good, also steak great; likewise the lamb shank. Waiting staff we're really lovely.

A pre-graduation meal, we had a prix fixe style meal, great value, washed down with some 'celebratory' wine off an interesting wine list! Helpful friendly & attentive staff, good service & well presented food! 4 out of 5 as 5 would be another level which Cote is not attempting to provide....so effectively full marks! Would definitely go back

We had a pre theatre meal on Sat night which we really did enjoy I had the haddock and bacon and my partner the cod goujons the food was delicious although my partner felt the portion was a wee bit on the small side

Very polite staff. Excellent service. Food was delicious. Would recommend to friends and family. The set menu is excellent value for money especially for 3 courses.

My husband andI had a very enjoyable meal at Cote Lincoln. The set menu for September has excellent choices, the service is friendly and attentive and the overall ambience is very good. We look forward to returning soon!

Terrible service and food had to be sent back as dried out by waiting for other orders to be ready. Waited over 1 hour for mains

This was our first visit and so we were apprehensive, regardless of numerous good reviews, there was no need. The restaurant had an air of a well run establishment all your staff were well trained, knowledgeable about the procedures, some unique, of serving and looking after your customers. The menu was very balanced between the three courses on offer, we all had different meals and all were voted excellent. The wine list was comprehensive without being offensive and the wine recommended in the 'September Specials' menu was superb, as was the food, a real Duck Confit, rare in this country. Price was right, all in all a very big hit.

A great meal, lovely food served hot and tasty. Had steak and a crime brûlée. Service was good too, just right. Friendly but not overdone.

Myself and two friends dined at this establishment on Tuesday 29th August. We ordered from the set menu (three courses for £12.95 weekdays 12-7pm). The restaurant was relatively quiet but this wasn't surprising given the day of the week. There were a few tables occupied but we were given the choice of where to sit. The restaurant was nice and airy. Even thou the menu were opted for was a special deal I felt that there was plenty of choice. We were given a good amount of time to peruse the menu and make our choices. I opted for the cod croquettes for my starter, belly pork on a bed of mash for main and crumble for my dessert. All the food was cooked well and I especially enjoyed my main. My dining experience at Cote was excellent throughout from the service, the food and the ambience. I would most definately dine here again

A very pleasant restaurant with good food, quick service and very attentive staff and not at silly prices. We will definitely go again in the near future.

Second visit to this restaurant - as before, lovely food and great service. Would definitely recommend for a date night or a classy evening out with friends.

Food excellent, service average, hence the score. Special deal (which included a glass of champagne) was not explained until after we had ordered and received drinks. Vegetables came half way through main course.

Lovely restaurant environment, polite staff. Did not agree with the 12.5% gratuity and felt I couldn't challenge it. Will return but won't rush back to do so

Second time in Lincoln and chose your restaurant which certainly lived up to our previous meal with you in Oxford. Lovely setting lovely food and service fantastic. We will certainly come back again.

Shocking. To begin with we were told about six items from the menu were unavailable. Then when the waiter came to serve main course no-one had cleared the starter, so mains stood going cold while table was cleared. Then two meals didn't arrive at all - they had been forgotten. When they did arrive they were incomplete and cold. Very apologetic, but overall not a good experience.

Tasty food at set price and quality that customer knows they will get every time. Lack of adventure in menu but it is a chain so expected

Really nice to go somewhere that serves at the pace you want, lovely atmosphere with great food with extensive gluten free menu which is a nice change!

Food was excellent and the waitress was very attentive. The service was quick and we didn't have to wait to long for food and drinks.

Excellent meal as always. Great value too- one of the best places to eat in Lincoln
