Côte Muswell Hill

It was a lovely meal and the service was very good. In the comment box when booking I mentioned that it was a birthday meal and was disappointed that there was no reference to that,it would have made the meal more special if my husband had had some birthday recognition.

We enjoyed the dining experience, food was delicious, however French Onion soup was rather spicy and pork belly a bit salty. Apart from that, there were well balanced dishes with good presentation and great service. Thank you team at Muswell Hill.

We are regulars here and usually it is spot on. But the past few times it’s been a little off. Food light on dressing/sauces, dry pissaldiere, sometimes over seasoned (too much salt) food. Friendliness of staff is still good despite a wholesale change, but service isn’t as sharp as it was. And I hate breakfast settings being placed and the general close down process/wipe down happening around me while I am still sat down finishing dinner well before the advertised closing time!

Lovely food. Great service. Great value for money. Crepes to die for. Staff always polite friendly and professional. We eat here a lot because the foid is good and there is always something for everyone.

The food and wine were excellent as usual. However there seemed to be an air of organised chaos about the place and we detected that always was not well between staff and management. It would be a shame for this restaurant to go downhill as it has been very good.

Delightful waitresses couldn’t disguise the fact that the lamb dish (shepherd’s pie) had barely any meat in it - just potato in abundance. A tiny dish too for the price. They soon replaced the dish with sea bream, however, so no damage done! Unfortunately, as the main body of the restaurant filled up, our waitresses deserted us in our own annex and we had to summon a passing someone to order our desserts. All in all, rather disappointing on what was supposed to be a celebratory meal. Still the “complimentary” water flowed abundantly. Although I didn’t need to be told at least five times that it was indeed - complimentary!

Lovely place and wonderful food always cooked to the same perfection. Been here many times and is a family and friends and friends favourite. Thank you guys.

Our Daughter's post-wedding lunch was enjoyed by all our party. We appreciated the gift of a bottle of cremant and cocktails and our server Teddy was great- helpful, patient and professional. Thank you to the staff at Muswell Hill Cote for a memorable celebration!

As usual, the food was very good and good value for money. Also, as usual, the service was excellent. But the place is so noisy. Would it not be possible to have a quite alcove or room where people could choose to sit if they find the noise a problem?

On this occasion I tried a new dish I had not tried before and can say that I was very pleasantly rewarded. The attentive staff simply added to the success of the evening for both of us. I keep thinking that this can't go on like this forever, but I am pleased that I continue to be proved wrong - it has continued for a long period now, which means that it is not accidental.

Lovely range of food and good service at a reasonable price. £7 service charge wasn’t appreciated when the dinner was only £60 in the first place, I wouldn’t have left that much if given the choice.

Everything was of of the high standard we have come to expect at Cote.Food and service are very good.The one caveat was that we had booked the complimentary cocktail deal and we got these on arrival, but when we got the bill we were still charged for them and it then feels awkward having to point this out to staff.Its a small point overall, but it is the second time it has happened to us at Cote.

Great as always. Consistently good food, ambiance and general standard of presentation. Côte is always top of our list for eating out locally. I recommend the French onion soup to start and their delicious Ribeye steak for a main dish.

Excellent food and service, atmospheric environment, but a little bit noisy, and also it is great value for money. We passed two joyful and 'delicious' hours.

Enjoyed it overall, but long waits between courses and felt t was expensive. The main I ordered came with nothing, I had to order 2 sides to make a meal. Also don’t like the automatic 12 1/2% added to the bill Would only go when there are special offers on.

The whole experience at Cote was lovely. The staff we’re attentive, quick and friendly considering it was Valentines night and it was extremely busy. I will be going again.

Was a lovely experience this time , we had a voucher from a previous bad time at another venue. We all had three courses and each one was delicious , so tasty. The staff were very friendly and made it a special evening.

My steak wasn’t hot and Roquefort sauce was a hard piece of butter which didn’t melt cause the steak wasn’t hot enough. The waitress could have been more friendly. Apart from that it was nice but I wouldn’t rush back.

A member of staff was much less helpful than usual staff: not happy to go beyond the basics. Asked for a slice of orange for a kid who wanted to eat the one from the cocktail glass but he said the restaurant could not spare one. He didn’t let us charge a phone saying the plugs were for the staff. Food was not to its usual standard either. Steaks overcooked and hard, ingredients missing from croque monsieur, overly salted fries :-(

We booked a table for 8.45 for 4. The restaurant was very quiet. Our waiter was, a young man, was very well informed and helpful on food and wine. No issues with his knowledge. The issue was our main courses were forgotten about (in a restaurant that by that time only had 3 table!) and we were waiting for a very long time. Even getting the attention of the staff (perhaps 4 of them) was really difficult. In a sector where chain restaurants are really suffering it was really disappointing that our service experience was so poor - great knowledge is one thing, and the young man was very helpful and friendly - however it was almost laughable that we were forgotten about by kitchen and staff when we were barely the only ones eating. Not a great experience for a significant spend of £150+ and a birthday treat for my 17 year old son. Food was fine but overall experience was not great.

Good food guaranteed, great memories made recalling those tastes. Yum

I introduced new people to this restaurant and they were amazed at the food and the price.. they definately will be eating here again. Service was superb too.
