Lunch with 2 friends was excellent. The mushroom soup was very very tasty and we were well looked after by the team

I can’t think of how many ways I can talk about how awesome this place it! I popped in for dinner with a friend. We ate from the set menu which was great as always.

A leisurely lunch from the set menu. No pressure from the staff to move on when we were finished. Always a great experience.

Food is amazing the staff are friendly and professional. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff always happy even when busy. Love this restaurant.

Waiting staff very friendly and helpful. My steak was a little disappointing as it was not hot, just warm. The waiter said he would give me a dessert free as a goodwill gesture, explaining that steaks are always 'rested' after cooking, but mine must have over-rested. A nice gesture.

Very good meal starts and mains arrived quickly, a bit too quickly but then the service seemed to stop. It took around 45 mins for anyone to come over. When we wanted to pay by credit card again it took around 20 mins as the waitress was really busy and only one card machine+ Suggestions would be, get a couple more card machines and serving staff as you clearly did not have enough. Our table was at 18.45 and we had our starters and mains within an hour. We left at 22.00 so that gives an idea of the wait! Could not fault the food. Service we had we could not fault just that the poor waitress was rushed off her feet.

Excellent service and value as always, the celeriac and ham starter was lovely and the chicken breast with crispy potatoes(cannot remember french name!) was very good.

This is a lovely restaurant with a nice atmosphere and lay-out, all the staff were extremely friendly and the service was spot on. The menu was mouth-watering, spoiled for choice. I chose a King Prawn starter dish followed by pork belly and finally ice cream and sorbet. All delicious as was the Merlot to wash it down with. Highly recommended.

We eat there on a regular basis, nearly always from the lunchtime menu. Always enjoy the food and the ambience of the restaurant. Service is very good. we never fell rushed.

the menu has been the same forever now very boring. Asked to change potatoes on dish to different type was told no problem but then charged for them. automatic 12.5% tip is very poor actual total very small you nearly miss it tip total bill very big . and automatically was entered into credit card without asking. long time before next visit

We ate from the lunchtime specials menu which offered a lovely choice and excellent value. Food was hot well seasoned and delicious. Service was also very good. Heartily recommend.

'been to several Cotes around the country before, but not at Peterborough before. Good in all respects but not as good atmosphere as at Farnham. Good welcome and most prompt service. Didn't push to sell drinks immediately - good, thanks. Wine by-the-glass now in 250ml measures as well as 175ml - good step forward. Prices reasonable, but please don't ask for gratuity on the credit card machine - I always refuse this, everywhere. We enjoyed our meal and slept well afterwards. Cheers! Michael & Jill

The manager and staff went out of there way to make our birthday celebration for my brother special. The food was also great, we have been to Cote quite a few times normally just two of us but this was a party of six and still the same great service like always

We tried the "Early Bird" menu. There was plenty of choice. Very good food, very good price and very very good service. What's not to like?

The manager of the restaurant welcomed us as though he'd known us for years, absolutely brilliant staff!! We had our free bottle of wine offered with no hesitation and he had our seats at the table already prepped!! Only fault we could find was a piece of the calamari tasted very stange.....salty, a little like the ocean, and bitter, this morning my partner is feeling poorly and didn't have a very good night's sleep. Strange!! But overall excellent staff and food as always!!

This was my first visit to a member of this restaurant chain, it came highly recommended based on a friends' experience in Covent Garden. The staff were attentive and interested in more than just our order. The choice of food was excellent, and the quality too. Loved the golden beetroot starter, also the Toulouse smoked sausages, but from their size, only 2 seemed a little skimpy. Left room for dessert though. Big negative was the incredible level of noise from other diners. This was ca 7-8pm on a Friday night. Glad for them that the place was packed (we booked ahead) but the acoustics make sounds echo around and this really detracted from the overall experience.

We enjoyed our meal at the cote brassiere my only complaint is the beer there was no pints of beer only silly little bottles. Surely it makes sense to have at least one draught beer being a French beer so at least customers can have a full pint not everyone drinks wine. Our server was lovely she was very polite and served our every need.

Excellent food well cooked and presented. Waiter service was good and were very polite.The red wine we were served was poured correctly and was at the correct temperature.A very enjoyable evening

One of the starters (mushroom soup )was far too peppery. One of the mains (fish pie was far too liquid and was changed for beef bourguignon. Staff were very good.

A regular visit for us, why risk elsewhere when you can have the best! Great service, so friendly and knowledgeable, well managed and very well priced. Good ambiance and perfect setting, what more is there to ask for??

Lovely staff, good service, and reliable food but the hard surfaces everywhere make it a bit noisy for anyone who has a hearing difficulty. It is a common problem in many places these days

Welcoming and friendly staff, good atmosphere, on the whole the food was very good although my steak was slightly over cooked but was offered a dessert, tea or coffee on the house as an apology. A very pleasant way to spend the evening.

Second time I have been here and the food is sublime. The only thing I would say is the tables are a bit small, which can be awkward.

The Cote Brasserie produces consistently good food and the staff are very friendly. If you like the French style of food, then the Cote will suit you taste.

A warm welcome ,a cosy table and delicious food made our wedding anniversary special. Service was smooth and efficient without us feeling rushed. We will certainly return again.

This was our second visit after being very impressed the first time round and we were not disappointed this time either. The quality of the food and cooking was superb and the staff were friendly warm and talkative. The speed of the service was perfect and the ambiance during what seemed to be a very busy period was just right.

Atmosphere was relaxed & the staff were very friendly. I ordered the chicken liver patè for starters & it was the best patè I have ever eaten! My husband had the sirloin steak that was a good quality cut & so beautifully cooked. Food was excellent!!! Need to come here again

Usual high standard of food and service from this most individual of chains. Nicely situated in the rejuvenated Peterborough Cathedral Square. Well worth a visit

Quite outstanding: providing informal ambience;quality food and cooking; excellent service and the person in charge of dining room superb. Our wine was corked, it was replaced without fuss. Will visit again on next trip to Peterborough. Well done.

I booked this restaurant on behalf of my parents for their 44th anniversary. I have to say, my parents returned home absolutely delighted by the experience. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that they were looked after on their special day. From complimentary drinks, "happy anniversary" wishes from the staff, to a special "happy anniversary" handwritten message on their desserts. I must praise the staff and manager for all their efforts. My parents loved the experience, were made to feel welcomed and comfortable, and I can guarantee that they will be returning!
