First class service food good, always is. Plenty of choice for lovers of French bistro food. Comprehensive wine list again French of cause. Right up my street.

Food was very average and fairly expensive. Steak was tasteless and quite tough. Calamari straight from the freezer. Nice staff, and helpful. Expensive for what it is.

French Onion soup was fab as usual! Very generous portion of mussels for a starter. Service was cheerful and friendly - many thanks to the waitress who found us a quiet table hen moved another one next to it to give us a bit more space. A very pleasant evening!

The meal was excellent, served in a warm, friendly and helpful way by CAROLINE, who was exceptionally good. I have marked you down slightly for the noise level, but wooden floors always tend to amplify sound. Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

We chose from the 3-course February menu. Lovely food, well presented. The creme brulee was one of the best desserts I've ever had - worth going back just for that!

We had been to Cote Shrewsbury twice before when the restaurant was relatively new. On both occasions the food and service were way below expectation. The good news is that all issues appear to have been resolved...service was as expected and the food was of a high standard! Slightly on the expensive side...2 starters, 2 mains, some olives a couple of beers and a bottle of wine and you say goodbye to £120...but I guess that's the going rate these days?

We eat at Cote Brasserie, Shrewsbury on a fairly regular basis. Staff are always so welcoming and attentive. A great menu and the food is always done to perfection.

A very friendly greeting. The menu choices were excellent. The restaurant was very ''French''and it seemed as though we were on holiday. The food, well what can I say except that we cannot wait to go back, maybe tomorrow

Had a lovely lunch for my birthday Food in general was excellent Strange had no bread with mussels or soup starters ? Had to ask for some Steak was lovely but lacked a mushroom or grilled tomato, small portion Pudding was shared , but beautiful ( crumble ) Service was brill I will return and give it another go Thank you

Great breakfast as always never had a bad meal here at breakfast lunch or dinner. Have taken lots of friends and family as we know we can really on atmosphere service and food, staff very friendly.

We have eaten at Cote many times and always enjoy the experience. I said to my husband tonight, this is a quality meal. The food is always cooked and presented to perfection and the staff are welcoming, efficient and friendly. The ambience is great with nice background music and pleasant surroundings. We had a complimentary bottle of wine and Germain gin and tonic cocktail which made our evening even more special.

Lovely meal and excellent service. The staff made our anniversary even more special with the attention and friendliness.

Very good service and lovely food, only criticism is the service charge is a bit steep , would be nice to leave the tip you want not have it automatically added . 12.50 on top for a meal for two was a bit excessive !

Nice welcome, wasn't sat down for a minute that I was asked what I wanted to drink. Hadn't had time to look! So just chose in a hurry as the waitress was waiting. My daughter had the pork belly which she didn't eat, the potato dish was salty and her extra carrots had been forgotten but came in the middle of the meal they certainly weren't glazed. I paid the extortionate service charge although I thought it was cheeky as the service was far from perfect Won't be returning for a while

The main course was decent, tasty & warm, although the green beans weren't trimmed so we did it ourselves. No slice of lemon for the water, good wine lest but white wine not chilled enough. The crepe was disappointing, luke warm with a small squirt of cream. Coffee excellent. Presentation not very good. Not much care put into any of it. Service: We weren't looked after by one waitress, as is the norm, but by a few different waitresses, who ever was passing . We waited a good while before any of them noticed we'd finished our main course so it was a while before our plates were taken away & then I had to go and get the desert menu myself as we couldn't get the attention of any of the waitresses, even though the restaurant was almost empty. It looked as if it was being run by a bunch of teenagers, there wasn't a genuine adult anywhere to be seen (except at the very end) & it showed. Get an grown up manager on site & some more mature staff. As you're charging 12% service charge you owe it to your customers. Surely.

Usually excellent but felt a little short staffed for a busy lunch service, hence service suffered slightly. Excellent food as always. Plates took a while to be cleared would be my main criticism. Will be back though as usually on the ball!

This was our first visit to the Shrewsbury Cote. Our visit came up to the usual standard that we expect from our visits to other restaurants. Service was efficient and friendly and the food was excellent.

Went for valentines day and was far from impressed. Poor choice of food. Over stretched themselves where staff couldn't cope. Had an hour gap between every course. Food came out cold, puddings melted. Very poor quality and value for money

Lovely overall experience. Buzzy atmosphere. Tasty food. Our waitress (on table 17) was excellent. She was charming, efficient and a credit to your company. All round a to-be-repeated visit.

Although busy service was good until desert (ordered at beginning of meal) which took nearly 40 minutes to arrive. No excuse others who arrived after us received theirs (same desert) before us. Also tried to charge us for free wine. 12.5% service charge is too high, even if discretionary.

We normally have a great meal, however this evening was disappointing. After a lengthy wait our dinner arrived, my friends piping hot however mine was cold. After complaining (which I hate doing) the manager offered to get me a fresh one cooked, what was delivered 5 minutes later was the same dish but cooked more. Yes it was indeed now hot, however the duck was dry and tough. The carrots that were ordered as a side didn’t arrive back at the table until 10 minutes after the meals, again disappointing. The staff were very polite throughout and did offer complimentary drinks which was appreciated.

We always enjoy our meals at Cote Brasserie. The service is excellent and the staff are so welcoming and pleasant. We love the ambiance and the food is always cooked to perfection. It is an added bonus when we have a complimentary bottle of wine and cocktail. This encourages us to visit more frequently. We are always recommending Cote to our friends and family.

We had a lovely meal at Cote in Shrewsbury I’m the Saturday night. We’d booked which was just as well as it was very busy, with a good atmosphere and excellent service. The food was delicious with a varied menu offered.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch with excellent service. Very impressed with the wide choice on the vegetarian menu which was a major factor in choosing to eat here.

Lovely layout, open areas with private tables to suit all. Not impressed with the ‘optional’ 12.5% gratuity charge on the bill. This isn’t the USA! We did leave a tip commensurate with the service we received. I notice from other reviews that the gratuity policy has been mentioned, food for thought? (Excuse the pun)

We eat out in Shrewsbury quite often, yet had never visited Cote Brasserie before. Three of us had a superb three course meal each, with every morsel eaten. The service was superb as well, so we left all feeling very content with our first visit here. We'll most definitely be back soon!

Excellent service from start to finish. Nice atmosphere. The menu was varied, the food was fantastic as was the wine menu. Highly recommend. I will be back.

As usual we enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. I don't understand why you ask me to write a review. If there was anything wrong I would complain while I was in the restaurant, all I am doing is wasting my time.

Delicious meal and excellent service as always! The starters were small but very tasty and the mains were delicious, especially the pork fillet which was superb.

Have been enjoying this place for a few months now, wonderful food and great lunch time offers. Friendly and helpful staff, great prices too. We are yet to dry dinner here, but breakfast and lunch both outstanding.

Starter was delicious, but the main course was cold. Service was so slow and had to wait ages between courses. We were given a bottle of water that was warm and clearly taken off a table and put on ours without refilling. meant to be a special lunch and it was mediocre
