Côte St Albans

Great meal, lovely atmosphere. Staff were very helpful on the night and attentive. The 10 year annivertmenu was had by all and great choice on it.

The menu gave a good selection, and was well presented. Our waitress had a smile and was pleasant with the service. SO a most enjoyable lunch experience which is what I would expect it to be.

Excellent meals and great value for money. Well trained staff too. Cote is a real favourite. When are you opening in Harpenden? Let me know

Nice food, and good service. Only slight issue was that they struggled to cope as soon as things got busy and we had to wait quite a long time for desserts menus and then the bill.

The staff were polite and attentive. The food was very good and the menu varied. The atmosphere was pleasant and we did not feel rushed to leave.

As always, the food was excellent, the staff friendly and the whole ambience great. It is also very good value for money and the staff never hassle or rush one at the meal

Poor quality mussels very small and scrawny. Had to send back the fillet steak as tough.Have eaten here several times, need to keep their eye on the ball.

Another great meal and great service. There were 4 of us and we all ate different dishes and all enjoyed them. We can't fault the Cote in St Albans

After a warm welcome, our family party was seated ready for an early evening dinner to celebrate our daughter's graduation. I was delighted that my request for some appropriate table decoration had been noted - the confetti was perfect. We were also served champagne at the beginning, as requested, with the prefect timing given for us to settle in and feel comfortable. All the menu choices were delicious and the service was impeccable throughout. Thank you for a lovely meal and a fitting way to end a day of celebration.

Service poor - waited over ten minutes for a bottle of wine. Had to keep looking for staff. Food was good as usual. Generally a nice place to go for a meal.

This was my third visit to a Cote restaurant . The food was good, but initial welcome poor. The waiter was very abrupt , the request for a brandy and dry ginger was met with a gruff "we dont have any dry ginger ." When asked what sort of brandy I liked I was then told they only had courvoisier anyway. My daughter in law asked for a Pinot Grigio and was rudely reminded that this was a French restaurant and they did not keep Italian wine. The restaurant was extremely noisy and the bill pretty pricey bearing mind the lack of vegetables with all dishes except potatoes. I resent paying nearly three pounds for a small side dish of undercooked beans . I don' t think I will be returning to Cote.Back to good old Italian with a smile for me .

We went for breakfast for my father-in-law's birthday. My husband needs a gluten free menu and they had one with plenty of options on for him. We all went for the full breakfast (with gluten free toast for one meal). Great food, great service and good value. Highly recommended!

We are not usually disappointed and find the quality of service and food consistent. Having ordered risotto we were amazed to find there was no Parmesan available. Quite an oversight!!

Lovely late lunch with helpful staff. Chicken chassseur and chocolate pot were delicious. Duck confit wasn't too tasty but potatoes with it were very herby and garlicky.

Visited the restaurant on Sunday lunchtime. A lovely meal as always. Service is always good and staff very polite and helpful. Food well cooked and well presented.

We went to celebrate our son's graduation. The steak and chips were excellent as was the puddings. Service was efficient but discreet. A fantastic meal,highly recommend

Great food as usual but the service was a bit slow. Menu needs a bit of variety as they didn't have much choice of specials.

Took my 20 year old nephew out for his birthday. The staff were very friendly and polite. The food and wine were delicious, would recommend.

we booked on-line which is really easy ,we received email confirmation. Staff were friendly and service was fast and food was lovely as always. We have visited the resturant regularly for the past 3 years while our Daughter has been at university and never been disapointed

Another great experience at Cote, excellent warm and friendly reception. Delicious food which was served by very personable experienced staff who once served with our choices they checked on quality and enjoyment of our dishes. Looking forward to our next visit which hopefully will be very soon.

Excellent value and great food. The anniversary menu had plenty to choose from and included a glass of champagne. Will be visiting again in the future.

A little too hot as the air con was broken which made it a little uncomfortable after an hour or so, Service was great though and food delicious

First class meal and service . One of the best venues in St Albans . We have been for a meal at cote several times and to date never have a bad one . Go and enjoy .

First time at this branch of Côte - really nice setting and the usual friendly and professional Côte service. The food was excellent and we will be visiting again.

Service and food is great and nothing is ever too much for the team here. Pleasant environment and noticed an outdoor section today which would be lovely in the sun.

Food excellent, staff and service very good. BUT, they need to keep an eye on the toilets. Gents was disgusting! Don't know why people cannot leave a toilet as they would expect to find it and why the public don't complain about appalling hygiene in eating houses!

Lovely food and great service. Had a large buggy with us and staff were very accommodating with giving us a good table. Recommend visiting this restaurant.

It was a hot day and we had booked for 14:15. The staff were obviously stretched and tired. We had to ask for our order to be taken for both courses - I didn't feelmtheybwere at the top of their game. The food was fine.

Lovely ambience. Large covered garden area, well cooked and presented food, though quite expensive. Much better to go for value weekday set lunch. Slow service.

Excellent venue Staff very friendly and efficient. My food was excellent I had the pork belly. but my wife was disappointed with her starter she said it was bland

As always Cote are brilliant for coeliacs, lovely garden, attentive staff and great food. Really enjoyed our breakfast and I'm sure we will return again soon
