Very good meal and service. My only criticism is that the waitress finished her shift between the main course and the dessert - she simply vanished and we were left waiting so that eventually I had to call someone to come and serve. This could have been much better organised.
Ate from the early evening menu. Great choice, cooked well and very good value. I had risotto which was lovely.Very friendly staff who gave great service.
All good, will return! We waited for a friend who was running late, which was not a problem for the staff, even though it was a busy early evening session
The food was excellent. I was quite happy with the service, although it did take a little bit of time for the servers to come with the bill. However, I think that's only because they were running around frantically at the time due to the restaurant being very busy. However, anytime someone came to our table, there was no indication that they were impatient or anything other than happy to wait on us.
Welcoming and good menu and wine selection. Staff efficient and friendly. Unusual criticism but my poussan ? was too large! That and my son's steak were very rare (bloody) in the French manner.
The food was nice enough and the service friendly, but on a mild/cool day, it was increasingly hot and uncomfortable in the downstairs seating area.
We had the celebration Menu and everything was perfect. It was celebration for us too, with a rare visit from our busy son so the glass of champagne was much appreciated.
Very poor service. Incorrect orders received theee times. The waitress was moody and we were made to feel a burden which is a shame as I am a big fan of the food all of which was delicious.
Food was good, service from our waitress who's name I think was Namea was excellent. We'll definitely consider this restaurant again if in the area.
Excellence food and service and the price was very reasonable for a city restaurant. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed the evening and will definitely be going to a Cote on our next trip.
Great meal in a lovely atmosphere. Service was mostly good, but never came to take our dessert order after we'd had the menus about 15-20 minutes, so missed out on that custom, but an enjoyable meal nonetheless; we'd go back again.
The food, wine and service were good quality and fairly priced. The only minor quibble is that we were located at a table near the door and close to the bar, so it was loud and chilly. We could have asked somewhere else but didn't, so I can't complain a lot, but this table was not the best.
Food and service were both fantastic, really attentive staff and fast service which was perfect as we had theatre tickets for later in the evening.
On arrival I mentioned the "birthday offer" to the Manager and a glass of Kir Royale was served to me and my two guests. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Would definitely return when next in the City.
Service was really slow - main courses were ok but we had to wait over half an hour for our desserts which were only ice cream. When they arrived they were wrong and the ice cream was all melted. Complained to manager who gave a large discount on the bill. We arrived at 1 o'clock and left at 3.15
Had the set 3 course menu - pear and endive salad tasty, but needed some colour in it. Steak frites good. chocolate mouse divine! Service a little slow at times.
Good service and a good meal. Up to scratch.Would recommend to friends as a good place to go. Would like to have seen some NZ Wines on your list - particularly Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir As we have some of the best!!
food was great quality, service was a tad slow but the waiters were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again. Great quality French cooking. The haddock wrapped in bacon with puy lentils was delicious.
The food is lovely as usual but because it was very busy last night, very difficult to get hold of waitresses . Overall, the service is always great.
Food was up to usual Cote standard . The staff were friendly and though slow to take my order initially were apologetic and offered a free coffee.
We were four ladies and we got some fantastic service here as well as great food for dinner. The place is quiet and cozy downstairs. Highly recommend!
Nice restaurant, good food, handy location and pleasant staff. Very good value when special offers are available, not quite as good when everything is full price.
I am regular user at all the Cote B., in all its London location. Do not have any problems with the foods and services provided,
Great atmosphere In a buzzing part of town. The service was attentive and efficient. The fixed price menu is great value for central London. Would highly recommend
Sat outside on a sunny afternoon. we had a very nice lunch, good service and they overheard it was a birthday and gave us a little cake with a candle
Very helpful staff, good service, lovely food, relaxed atmosphere but rather noisy, would have preferred to eat in the area downstairs. Will continue to recommend Cote to family and friends.
Staff were very nice and friendly. However in terms of food quality this is the worst cote I have eaten in. I had calamari which was tasteless and a duck special which was overloaded with potatoes and very dry tasteless duck. I know this is not cote's usual quality which is why I was so dissapointed.
Fantastic working lunch with a colleague. The steak was perfectly cooked, just as requested. The starters are pretty large portions so with that and a main there was no room for dessert! Service was with a smile.
Excellent food and service. Both their pre-theatre menu and al-a-carte menu is delicious. Centrally located within walking distance of St Paul's and City Thameslink. Would highly recommend.
Busy brasserie serving excellent food. Prices are good and the staff friendly. Nice selection of wine that starts at very fair prices. There are tables outside for warmer weather. Nothing not to like!
I have visited a couple of branches and have always had good food served well in a nice atmosphere Cote can be relied on for a good meal at any time
Very cheerful and helpful. Not haute cuisine but extremely good for the reasonable prices. I am a believer in the Cote Brasserie chain which is consistent and conveniently situated.
Great to catch up with a friend. Lovely food specials from Cote. Affordable prices and good, friendly service. Really big dining venue at St Pauls.
Lovely food, excellent service and great value for money. Having travelled down from Scotland, I was amazed to get such an excellent experience on a Friday night in central London.
Excellent food and staff very attentive Wine also good Menu very varied and food always hot which is so much better than cafe Rouge where it is normally cold
Took the set menu which was excellent value for money. The restaurant was lively but service was attentive, prompt and with a smile. We left feeling full and content!
Service was a little slow. We arrived at 7.30 and didn't get to leave until nearly 11pm. Not big problem as we were enjoying each others company. But as the desert took nearly 20 mins to arrive and our coffee came before dessert, even though we had expressly asked for it to arrive after it was a disappointing ending.
Great food, great location, toilets could have done with a bit of a clean, but I know people from the hotel use them to, so no points deducted .
Excellent food and staff very attentive Wine also good Menu very varied and food always hot which is so much better than cafe Rouge where it is normally cold
Hi I'm happy to provide a star rating but it's too much trouble to have to write 25 words every time I use a restaurant!!
Good and friendly service although a bit slow to advise me that my vegetarian choice of main was not available, very tasty food however, pricey but comparable for the area
Delicious food at this friendly convenient branch of Cote. Only problem service was rather slow so glad we arrived in plenty of time to catch our train...
Friendly great service and top food. Relaxed atmosphere. Staff were attentive and friendly. Great menu. Love the poulet grille, delicious. Loved the sparkling wine. Great night had by all
Nice relaxed atmosphere with good brasserie style food - as a chain it is more personal and better quality than many and preferable to Cafe Rouge.
Food was fantastic, ambiance was spot on, and servers were very attentive. I had the duck confit and it was perfectly crispy, yet tender. Definitely one of the best meals I've had this year! And to top it off with Creme brûlée was marvelous!
Really nice staff - friendly and welcoming! Food great but why should we have to pay for bread?!? Ambience is also good - relaxed and no loud Muzak in background.
Seated quickly and warmly by a very efficient waitress. Meals arrived promptly and although a tad on the expensive it was a nice overall experience.
Friendly service that was attentive but not overbearing. Food was served in good time. Ordered a salad which was good in taste. If I was nitpicking, I would say the presentation of the salad in a very angular bowl did not make for the most pleasant eating experience. I would have preferred it to be served on a wide bowl/plate instead.
As always, good food and a nice atmosphere. This restaurant has a very large basement dinning area so ideally suited for big groups. Highly Recommended
Great food as always and good service, excellent value for money. The 3 course set menu is really varied and really can't knock the £13 price tag.
