Very pleasant and attentive staff . Surrounding clean and pleasant. The 'special' Rose wine super and the good very good especially with the gluten free menu which I need as a medically diagnosed coeliac. As usual everything was up to expectation.Thank you to all
Ambiance and environment lovely and service very good. I had a goats cheese salad, one of my favourite dishes from many years living in Belgium. It was not as good as I had expected. Served in a steep bowl it was actually quite hard to cut up and eat, the cheese was relatively hard for a hot goats cheese, and it was missing a good dressing - usually a creamy honey dressing works well with the strong goats cheese. But, I will definitely visit again, but perhaps choose a different dish!
Very good food and service. The staff were courteous and obliging while the ambience was buzzing but not tool loud.I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants good food and speedy service.
Soup needed warming up and by the time it came back rest of party had finished.and when we ordered deserts two of them had been forgotten.and once again by the time they were received rest of party had finished.
Early Saturday evening dinner for 2 near St Paul's Cathedral. Spent a pleasant 1.5 hours. We both had prawns in a tomato sauce and steak frites and one of us had a crème caramel
Service well-meaning but chaotic. Food not up to usual Cote standards; chicken salad arrived without the chicken and the risotto was stodgy and the Parmesan cheese took so long to arrive it must've been delivered direct from Italy . Filet steak was fine as was the desert.
Food was as expected but the waiter was a bit slow and kept forgetting stuff but overall it was good and i would go back.
We had the special summer menu - there was a good choice in all three courses, and all of our party of four were very pleased with our choices. Excellent food and great value for money. The service was efficient and friendly and we did not feel rushed at any time. I would thoroughly recommend!
I booked a table for 3 people. When we arrived at 1pm the manager was there to show us to our table and the staff were very friendly. The food was good and the ciders also.
If our waitress had repeated our order back to us when she took it we would not have ended up with an incorrect main course. We ordered olives and bread to have with drinks when we arrived . The olives looked rather old and didn't taste good and the bread didn't arrive until or starters arrived when we then got 2 lots of bread. The manager tried to make up for things by offering a free glass of champagne. The food was actually good but I have not yet been to a Cote when something didn't go wrong.
Unfortunately, service was slow and my omelette ordered from the vegetarian menu was flat, unseasoned, bland and missing any cheese or tomatoes (as per menu) and had a few raw spinach leaves in the middle. There were no creme caramels left but the alternative took too long to arrive. We needed to leave for the theatre. The manager took the price of the omelette off the bill. Poorest Cote meal we have had.
Staff were very helpful, food was tasty and service was prompt but not rushed. Their house red was lovely. Will definitely be going there again.
Touch expensive, and there was roadworks outside, and the fumes from the machinery were blowing in. Spoilt the atmosphere, and made it difficult to have a conversation.
It was a great meal, freshly prepared food. Would be great to have the same high-quality food at all times. Sometimes the quality can vary significantly, which is disappointing.
Nice atmosphere. Warm welcome but general service was a little under par, e.g. Wine bucket wasn't filled with cold enough water and/or ice, prosecco was served warm... Rectified when asked. Food fine.
Great location near St Paul's Cathedral. The service and food were both excellent. Downstairs area cool and spacious. Would highly recommend and look forward to coming again.
As always perfect service and the food was firstclass. No hurry to leave the table either although it was buzzing with people. My favourite location in the city.
Swift and delicious food, unobtrusive yet attentive service when required, but correctly left to own devices at other times. Very pleasant lunch and I would recommend.
Had a very good meal. Three of us had a three course lunch with coffee. Only downside was the service which, for some reason, was slow. We waited 30 minutes for our starters. We did not complain but the manageress was aware of our wait and displayed good management by offering each of us a complimentary glass of wine.
Great location with St. Paul's right outside. Good service and helpful suggestions with the menus and when they end, best deals etc (time limited menus).
The waiter, whose name I did not get, was extremely attentive and made us all feel special. He was tall, slim with light coloured hair. He even came over to us to say goodbye before he went on his break.
Our party of five enjoyed the meal and wine very much except for one of the party who had chicken avocado and walnut salad .the salad had no walnuts and only two small pieces of avocado --- this was rather disappointing Fortunately the bill reflected the error re the salad
Very helpful restaurant staff and a lovely meal. We went at a busy time (Friday eve) but were treated well and received immediate attention and recommendations. We will recommend Cote as a result
Although we were served, ate and finished within one hour the reason for the 5 instead of 6 rating is because it took another 15 minutes to pay the bill. Lunchtime patrons are a mixture of office workers and tourists. Office workers need to eat and leave within one hour at lunchtime, perhaps identifying who needs to be turned around quickly at lunchtime would be an amazing achievement for the lovely waitress who did an amazing job.
This is a great branch of Cote. Friendly and attentive service and a wonderful meal that was nicely presented. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.
Excellent place to eat with kind and friendly staff who take care to make sure every meal is served hot and with a smile Thee set menu is also excellent with great choice which changes each month
The Pork Belly was very disappointing. The skin was not crisp and the fat could have been rendered. I have had this meal before at Cote and have thoroughly enjoyed it.
Nice breakfast menu, bit quiet but good location and very friendly waitress. Good for a breakfast business meeting. Well located for St Pauls and City Thameslink
Went for a meal at 4pm on a Monday - service very slow. Food had potential to be very good but my dessert was still slightly frozen and my chicken was a little on the pink side. Staff were helpful and friendly in regards to helping my accessibility needs. It's inexpensive but could have been a lot better!
Ate from the early evening/weekend menu and thrilled with it as usual. Good choice menu at a reasonable price. Pleasant helpful staff - I would thoroughly recommend.
The food and service were excellent. We were shown to a lovely table that enabled us to have the private chat that we wanted. All in all a very agreeable experience that I hope will be repeated in the near future.
What a lovely place to dine with friendly helpful staff who take great care to make sure your order is served correctly - portions on the set menu are also very good size
The food was wonderful and the service and atmosphere great. We had a good time and enjoyed our time at the restaurant. It was recommended to us and we thank them!
Excellent Restaurant with friendly and lovely staff and the food is also of a high standard with a very good choice Even the set menu has a very good choice
When we arrived we were greeted and shown to our table, given time to check out the menu and order. the food and service was Excellent. Great atmosphere in the restaurant.
We had a nice attentive waiter (but not too attentive). I really liked him and his manner was excellent. In fact a credit to the restaurant. Food and wine were both excellent. I would have no hesitation recommending the restaurant to friends. Overall a lovely experience.
An excellent meal - belly of pork was delicious. Have never had a bad meal at Cote on the many times we have visited .
Very good food and attentive service. Delicious charcuterie board, steak tartar and roast chicken. Reliably good and very convenient. Not much else to say really!
We arrived a little early due to pouring rain and we received a warm welcome. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. We enjoyed our meals, the attention to detail, the faultless service and the pleasant, caring attitude of the staff. Thank You.
Beautiful experience... Good is Amazing And The staff Very kind. I went with My Sister Who is celiac And She ate everything... The crepe With mushroom... amazing
we were placed on a squashed table next to a fire extinguisher and very very loud. Food was lovely though and the service was great,
Slightly slow service but it was admittedly rather busy. Staff charming and helpful, food good and menu choices varied and plentiful. Atmosphere relaxed and welcoming as usual.
A friend and I went for breakfast and we both thought the food was lovely. Our waitress was very attentive and overall service was fantastic.
The place is well located on Ludgate hill. The food was very good no the staff were all very friendly. I would have no hesitation in returning.
We waited at least 45 minutes for our main, some of the vegetables were very undercooked. The chicken liver pate was runny like liquid, we couldn't eat it, and they were so busy everything took ages and we only had mains. The peppercorn sauce was not very peppery and very bland. We would have had desserts but couldn't risk being there for another 45 minutes waiting.
Lovely choice on the menu, and very good value. The large choice in terms of location around London is especially helpful when trying to arrange lunch around other commitments.
The food was nice enough but the service was a bit haphazard. We ordered some bread to start which never came. Our coffees were served 10 minutes before our dessert. Dessert took ages to arrive. The bill included the bread which never came.
Good food and well priced. Try to sit downstairs as more private and you can hear yourself talk. Pleasant staff and good services for a busy lunchtime
The food was nice enough and the service friendly, but on a mild/cool day, it was increasingly hot and uncomfortable in the downstairs seating area.
Welcoming and good menu and wine selection. Staff efficient and friendly. Unusual criticism but my poussan ? was too large! That and my son's steak were very rare (bloody) in the French manner.
