The food was good and flavoursome but the service was ridiculously slow. We sat down at 7pm and were begging for someone to come so that we could pay the bill gone 10pm... It didn't help that drinks waiter accidentally emptied a tray of drinks down one of our party's back. Sticky clothes and glass and embarrassment everywhere. We had a free round of drinks on the house in compensation but the front of house let the kitchens down the evening we visited. Shame. I wouldn't recommend until I knew for sure the service would be better.

We had a very pleasant evening and meal in Cote ,Teddington. Staff were pleasant, cheerful and efficient. I had the Breton chicken which was succulent, tasty and perfectly cooked. Two people in the party had Sea Bass and were very pleased with it. All in all a great evening

Had a great meal last Saturday, very good food and excellent service. Will definitely return. Only criticism is the hefty 12% service charge which I didn't spot, maybe fault or was the menu not very clear? Some of the ,meals really need "extra" veg which puts price up. House wine was very good.

Over priced and the meal was pretty salty and greasy. The burger was too heavy with the brioche bun... Staff and building were pleasant.

Sorry to see the restaurant so quiet - I guess it was school half-term and everyone is away. This is the only reason that I marked the 'atmosphere' rating down - it was nothing to do with you. The plus side of this was that it was nice and quiet. Anyway, everything - food, service, wine - was, as always, excellent. My German visitors were extremely impressed

We are regulars but this time we took two dear friends. The staff were very careful with one who is very disabled . The vegetarian menu was pronounced excellent. Our only quibble is that the staff were too solicitous with pouring wine which lead to us having a second bottle that we did not need, the one guest who wanted more wine could have had a glass.

The food is good , but it bugs me that they charge for bread, charge for bernaise sauce and also automatically add a tip. Ends up being a pricey lunch!!

Easy to book on-line. Good range. Steaks ok. Medium a little on the rare side. Other courses fine. Starters and dessert a little pricey. Family of 5 (2 parents, 19,16,13 year old) £150. 1 glass of wine. Not the cheapest. A very good waiting staff.

The overall quality of the food ( I had the rump steak ) was poor - really really fatty , dry and over cooked - my friend had the chicken which looked much better. The welcome felt rushed and no one came to check on our experience - it wasn’t what you’d expect from cote. Previously I’ve been to the cote on Tavistock st and there service is spot on

Cote never disappoints! The only reason I gave 5 tather than 6 stars is that I think the main course portion (of the pork belly at least) was a tad on the small side!

Three different main courses ordered and all three dishes were wonderful. Even more outstanding than the food was the service we received from Kyriacos. Having tried to order a non alcoholic beer, and none being available, Kyri disappeared and then returned with a bottle from an external source. Great service Kyri, you’re an asset to Cote!

Excellent service, ambience and food at Cote in Teddington this evening. There were seven of us and we all agree it’s one of our favourite restaurants. Thank you. We’ll be back again soon!

Upon booking the table we specifically asked there to be a highchair, when we arrived there wasn’t one! 15minutes into us sitting down my husband had to get one himself. There were lots of staff present but not taking any notice of our table, we had to ask to order drinks, then when our guests arrived again had to ask to order drinks & order... the service was very poor & the food was disappointing from previous meals we have had there before; over cooked eggs, & sausages. Usually I would send food back but I didn’t want to wait as we had 3 children with us & the service was already too slow.

The meal was fine; and the steak frites particularly good. The mains took a while to arrive after the starters and the waiter forgot a side portion of beans that eventually arrived almost as we had finished our mains

All very good except the table we were initially allocated. I had booked online asking for a table for 4 adults and 2 high chairs for young children . When we have visited this branch before this was set up ready. Today no high chairs ready and we were shown to an unsuitable table with banquette seating on both sides abd not enough room at the end for high chairs. The restaurant was not busy so we were able to go elsewhere. Disappointing as we had booked in advance.

We arrived and were met cordially by staff. The waiter took our order. We ordered from the A la carte menu but were told that we could only order from the St Valentine's menu ( a 3 course set meal) . When I booked the table on the Cote website, there was NO indication that only the St Valentine's menu was available, and indeed there was no indication of this on the board on the street outside the restaurant. The waiter called the manager. She reiterated that we must order from the St V's set menu, No one in our party wanted to have 3 courses, two courses would have been fine for us and anyway, as stated earlier, we wanted to order from the A la carte menu. The manager insisted that we could only order the set menu. After much discussion the manager said she would speak to the chef. We reached a compromise, but it was hardly satisfactory as we still had to choose dishes from the set menu. If Cote had made it absolutely clear on the website that only the St Valentine's set menu was available, I would not have made the booking.

Would have given a 5 but service initially a bit slow; confusion over the table I had booked; dimmer switch on lights broken so bulb was very, very bright and made eyes water, member of staff had to remove the bulb from holder to rectify and enable us to be able to remain at the table. Waitress was brilliant - young girl, studying at college - very nice, extremely knowledgeable and handled situation impeccably. Pork skin was a bit soft and needed more cooking to crisp up - had it before and tends to be hit and miss, sometimes great and other times mediocre

Service is always excellent at Cote Teddington where staff are cheerful, friendly and efficient. From the June specials we enjoyed Negroni aperitifs and probably the best meal we’ve ever had in several years of visiting Cote. The chateaubriand was absolutely amazing. Flavoursome, cooked to perfection (medium rare), beautifully presented and served with a generous salad and frites. It would be wonderful if were to appear on the main menu after the month ends.

We were a table of 4 for my birthday, one of the party being my 3 year old daughter. The starters were nice, although it took half an hour for the starters to arrive, the table next to us were served first, although had arrived roughly 15 minutes after us, that wait for food with a 3 year old was too long, and I found it a bit odd sausages and mash came without any sauce or gravy- it looked a very dry affair. Our waitress kindly got us a small amount of gravy which was great. My mother and sister had cod gougons, they both ate about half ,both agreed they were dry and flavourless, I declined to try them. I had spinach and mushroom pancakes, which were so over cooked they were disintegrating in the watery cheese sauce, it looked horrible - a brown sludge, swimming in cheese sauce, I have had these before so I was expecting a much more edifying dish. Again I could only eat half of it. We didn’t have pudding. On the plus side the staff were lovely, and we didn’t complain at the time as the staff had been so good, I didn’t want to direct my disappointment at them. I have eaten quite a lot in Côte in Richmond,Teddington and St.Albans, and at peak times that have been much busier than the restaurant was today and have not had such a disappointing experience.

Service slow, waited too long in between food and drink order, started cold eventually changed but took a while to come back others had finished their starter, no info about menu, tables not cleared after people had left. Eat here a lot with friends, won't be back.

We were a table for 7 and the service and quality of food was its usual best. Our party was made up of 4 Canadian visitors and they were extremely impressed. There was a mix up with one dinner and they were very apologetic and took off that meal and also a bottle of wine, which I found extremely generous. We dine there quite regularly and am never disappointed. Thank you.
