Côte West Bridgford

We have missed Cote immensely during lockdown so it was a great pleasure to see all the staff back, serving their lovely food in safe and convivial surroundings. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

To the staff at Cote, West Bridgford,nour first meal out since lockdown. Lovely food , great service, and a joy to feel looked after. It’s a lot for all of us to endure but you rose to the occasion , so than you so so much !

Everything was brilliant except that is was a boiling day with 32 degrees and I wished we were served cold water or ice cubes to the water.

Excellent ambience, brilliant customer focused, friendly and helpful staff, good food and wine and a geat position in West Bridgford. What else is there to want. Definitely 6 stars. Well prepared to ensure customer and staff safety in these still challenging times. For us, Eating at Cote is a most welcome return to some normality. Of course, we are biased; we have been eating at Cote regularly since it first opened. Earning that commitment is a mark of An excellent restaurant in our book.

It was nice to visit for the first time since lockdown. The outside seating and the service were good, as usual. However, both my husband and I were disappointed with our food. The menu is pretty limited - I can understand why. However, my Crottin salad was based on literally a tablespoon of cheese. My husband said his crab mayonnaise (£9) was mostly cucumber. I have never previously felt 'ripped off' in Cote and this was sad. I can understand that you need to be optimising your profit margins at this time, but the food was not sufficiently tasty to make the tiny-portions-with-padding strategy acceptable. If you can't afford the ingredients, I think it's better not to use them. Put something else on the menu and do it well. We are loyal customers but left feeling dissatisfied with our 'special' lunch and I can't imagine that we'll be back for more than coffee in a hurry.

It was wonderful to be able to have lunch at Cote again. The tables are well spaced and nicely dressed, the food was really good and the staff as charming and helpful a ever. Roll on breakfast opening again.

It was great to be back after lockdown Our favourite West Bridgford restaurant overlooking the Croquet Lawn. A wonderful place to dine outside, enjoy fantastic food and wine, and people watching. What better way is there to enjoy a leisurely lunch?

Wonderful to see Cote back up and running and at their usual very high standard of food and service. All staff were friendly and efficient. All staff were wearing visors and constantly sanitising their hands. Felt very satisfied with the precautions and enjoyed yet another delicious meal.

The food and wine is consistently good and the prices are reasonable.

Cote is our favourite restaurant in West Bridgford. Service is always very good and we enjoy going for breakfast as well as the a la carte menu

Amazing as always both food and service although the June cocktail offer ( Negroni) was awful!!

We booked last minute and arrived late, but the staff were welcoming, cheerful and efficient. The food was stunning, as always, and the atmosphere was friendly and enjoyable.

As it was Mothering Sunday it was busy. We had prebooked a table which was ready for us on arrival. We had our order taken within five minutes of arriving, had our drinks by ten minutes with the food coming shortly afterwards. The food and drinks were lovely, the right quantities. I had the vegetarian full breakfast which was the delicious and the decaff Americano was amazing, a strong flavour which is good. Overall the service was excellent and so was the food.

The choice and quality of food was excellent. There were a couple of issues with late and cold items which were dealt with in a very timely and efficient manner.Overall, a very pleasant and enjoyable experience

The food is exceptional. The wine and the atmosphere is perfect. This is a jewel of a restaurant and continues to deliver great service. Strongly recommend.

We have been here many times and will not be slow to come again. The food is delicious; the staff are friendly and efficient and the wine us well priced for the quality. Difficult to beat this in West Bridgford or indeed in Nottingham

Well we had a reservation and queued like cattle outside your kitchen while waiters passed food over our heads. The food was average. The service poor and you automatically add a 12% service charge. Absolutely ridiculous!

Food was lovely and tge service was excellent.... Only down side was beer in 27.5 ml bottles.....will definitely go again.. 👍

Excellent from entering. Warm welcome and quick attentive service . The food was served quickly and was hot , tasty and a good portion . We will certainly be back again .

We’ve been to Côte many times and as usual it was wonderful yesterday. Some restaurants don’t cope well with big occasions and standards drop, but our Mother’s Day Brunch was just as amazing as usual. We are especially impressed with the way cote cater for our coeliac daughter. We have never had a problem at Côte and coeliac’s can eat the fries here (which is massive if you have coeliac disease!)

I booked lunch here on a Tuesday lunch for 14 people. It was a casual wedding lunch as the registry office was across the road. The service was excellent, they made the happy couple feel very special. The food was excellent, they catered for all our dietary requirements, gluten free and vegetarian plenty of choices. We booked on the way out to dine here again on mother’s day.

The food is always reliably excellent here, and it was again today. Service a bit slower than usual, and noise level (“music”) appalling. I guarantee that if it was turned off everyone would be pleased.

No table reserved for us on arrival even though I booked and requested a table. Poor service. Food not as good as usual. Ordered extra toast and it came after we had finished eating. Overall very disappointing brunch.

Lovely meal -menu is extensive but from personal experience usually excellent. Today we had crab,salmon,fish stew and chicken-all beautifully cooked and tasty. Rhubarb martini was delightful and the Chablis very moreish. Service was efficient and friendly-thanks to Melanie for enhancing our late lunch experience.

Food was fantastic, my soup was initially not hot enough, but that soon got sorted. Salad Nicoise was divine, hope they never take it off the menu. Mirabelle Tart for dessert was excellent, thoroughly recommended. Service was very good , but I do object to a 12.5% service charge being added to the final bill. It is not a formal restaurant with very fancy standards of service, it's just good, down to earth chain restaurant style food. I am a grown up & very capable of assessing whether I have deemed the service to be worthy of the extra reward of a gratuity. I realise it is optional, but then you put the customer in the awkward & potentially embarrassing position of declining it in order not to have to pay it. £8.25 tip for a table of 2 for lunch is excessive IMO. We have a number of restaurants within 5 minutes walk of each other & this is the only one to work this way.
