Great service, food and atmosphere Staff were great and very attentive

It was a busy day, with local test match cricket. The service was slow. Coffee arrived half way through breakfast. Poached eggs were hard. We were sat in the back corner where all the dirty crockery was taken. It was noisy and busy

Service was let down by having to ask for our change ... we were happy to pay the added service charge which we did but then staff clearly expected us to leave the change too and left us waiting for a good 10 minutes... we then had to ask.... not on especially as we had paid the service charge anyway.... wouldn’t have paid the service charge if the attitude had been like that to start.... in fact felt like asking for it back!

I have been to the restaurant many times with friends so was confident when I made the booking as a thank you for my sister and niece. The evening started well with a lovely welcome from the gentleman on the reception followed by a warm and cheerful welcome from our waitress whose name we didn't catch. She was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about all the menus, helping us to make suitable choices from the vast array on offer. The starters arrived within an acceptable time during which she bought our drinks order and table water,again with a wonderful smile and cheery disposition. We had a perfect delay before the next course allowing us to savour the superb flavours at our leisure and we all thoroughly enjoyed our choice of mains. The plates were cleared and the desert menus left for us and then we waited and waited to place our desert order. Seeing our waitress very busy taking an order from a large group behind us and called to two other couples waiting I went in search of a waiter from the other side of the restaurant and requested they take our order as our own waitress was extremely busy which they did immediately. We had to wait some time for our deserts which were delicious and then had to wait again to try and catch someone's eye to get the bill. Overall the experience was pleasant but it had started off being so much better than pleasant until we were "forgotten about ".

Arrived for breakfast at your West Bridgford branch; to be told there was no eggs and smoked salmon on the menu. How does that work, what restaurant advertisers selling breakfast, but can’t provided eggs? Left and went elsewhere as 80% of the menu uses eggs.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and the starters but was disappointed by the chicken with salardaise potatoes for main as it was quite dry.

Every time I dine at Cote, it is always fabulous. I am never disappointed with the food, the atmosphere is always lovely and the service is always excellent.

Great value and tasty food for the £10-50 formule breakfast, excellent service as well:) Coffee was very good as well. We will see you again very soon, keep up the high standards!

Very poor, it took 2 hours to have two courses and when the main course arrived the chicken was dry and over cooked but at the same time both the chicken and the fries were delivered cold and the sauce was totally tasteless. To be fair, this dish was removed from the bill, but that is not the point, we went out to eat, not to complain.

As usual it was a very pleasant dining experience. We were welcomed in a most pleasant way , seated very speedily and our waiter introduced to us . Our initial drinks order came very quickly and we all choose three courses from the day time menu . The food was well presented and very nice in all aspects . Our waiter ( a young lady ) were extremely attentive and most charming , This was my second visit to Cote in 48 hours as I had eaten with friends the previous evening at the London restaurant in St.Martins Lane .

Perfect seat by the open window. Attentive and cheerful staff. The meal was everything we expected, well prepared, full of flavour and hot when it arrived at the table.

Food took long time to srrive. luke warm Waitress was great and gave me a fresh hot meal avoid Sat night as staff seemed iverwhelmed

We enjoyed the French 75 cocktail very much. Service was perfect as usual. I ordered both my courses from the April specials. Crab bisque delicious but my pan roasted haddock was rather dry. Lentils fab! Morning husband had crab mayonnaise and a rib eye steak. Excellent he said.

Vegetarian choice poor. Food OK. Husband enjoyed chicken breton. Portions on the small side. Service a little slow but restaurant pleasant enough. Nice napkins. Not pleased to have optional gratuity automatically added to bill particularly at lunch time. We thought from the website that there would be a two or three course set lunch menu which had good vegetarian options. But when we got there only the main menu or a premium set menu available with poor vegetarian options. So disappointing and we probably wouldn't have booked if we had known this. Overall nice but nothing to write home about. Better value and service elsewhere I'm afraid.

We really enjoy Cotes and, as a chain, think it’s pretty good. However, on a busy Saturday night, they could not cope with a starter being ordered as a main.

Booked on line and added a request for a table window if possible and was happy to see one had been reserved for us . Really friendly and helpful when we asked for advice on wines , our meal was really delicious . Thank you to all the staff .

Everything as good as usual except for ice in drink when no ice requested (not the first time this has happened). Not a fan of automatic service charge on bill.

Wonderful food, great ambiance, our favourite restaurant which reminds us of holidays in France. Enjoyed everything about our evening here tonight. Highly recommend to all. Thanks xx

Table was very easy to book just the day before. Went for the early bird menu. Excellent value for money and nice vegetarian option served. Made a difference to the usual risotto. The service was professional. Nice venue and ambience to catch up with friends.

Very good staff but the quality of the food was not as good as our local cote in Guildford we regularly go to Guildford and the standard of food is consistently high.

Enjoyed the weekend menu. Good value and choice. Not to busy but very pleasant.

We have been to Cote many times before and again this evening. Food is good and the restaurant a nice place to be. So why do I feel a little bit fed up? Answer is the 'optional' service charge at 12.5%. It's only optional if you realise it's added and even then you have to ask for it to be removed. Paid it this evening but never again. Be warned Cote et al, this is not on. Relying on customers being too shy to knock it off is bad form.

I had the lunchtime menu.The pate was tasty and nicely presented.For the mains I had chicken which was very bland and forgettable Skipped the dessert.Glass of wine, sauvigion,was pleasant but expensive Might have been better to have bought a bottle between 3 of us. Didn't see the wine men(? that one was offered). We had a nice corner seat by the window,clean restaurant, waitress personable with just the right manner.Sorry only 4stars but main meal disappointing.

Had a great birthday breakfast with my husband, son and daughter in law. Staff very friendly and efficient. Breakfast great quality and well cooked. Will definitely come again as have been here many times before but not for breakfast.

A lovely clean and inviting restaurant serving absolutely gorgeous food at a very reasonable price however the best thing was the staff, so helpful, no changes to the menu was a problem, and very chatty and happy. Just a really nice experience and will be going again

Very pleasant atmosphere. Good food which was delicious when it arrived. A friendly waitress but overall service was a little slow... (slower than 'relaxed'!). Staff friendly.
