We enjoyed our visit very much; first night out without the children for about two years! The waiter was very welcoming and comped our glasses of champagne at the beginning of the meal. It was a special meal, well-paced, delicious and memorable. Thank you!

The meal was delicious and the staff were lovely! The attention to cleaning and sanitising was exemplary, but not overbearing. It felt very safe and relaxed - safe to say we had a really enjoyable meal! Highly recommended.

We were delighted to see that Cote had re-opened. It has always been our favourite eatery in Winchester. The faces were different but as always the service was superb, the staff as friendly and welcoming as ever and of course the food beatifully prepared and presented. Tables had been re-arranged to comply with social distancing and the staff (all wearing face coverings) had clearly been well-trained in the anti-covid requirements. As always, nothing was too much trouble and everything was delivered with a smile. A perfect evening in every respect.

First night opening post closure. Regular visitor Arrival smooth. Staff welcoming and friendly. Starters excellent Main (minute steak) a little cool, over cooked and slow (not rapid) Desert - Delicious as ever Thanks to the staff and Chancellor also!

The staff were very welcoming and took all necessary precautions given the current climate. We had a lovely time, and the food was perfect. We'll certainly be back!

Amazing first experience at Cote Brasserie. The food was incredible, the staff were friendly and the service was brilliant! Tables well spaced out but felt like a 'normal' dining experience! £20 off the bill for 'Eat Out to Help Out' made it even better!!!

An amazing meal for our anniversary, all staff were amazing, Efficient and very polite all evening, the food is as described, we had the duck breast for main and it’s a must Thankyou

The only down thing was a draught from the front door when left open by people who don't know how to shut a door. The Service and the food was GREAT. THANK YOU FOR A NICE EXPERIENCE.

Great food and attentive service, the selection of dishes on the menu was ideal as we all had different requirements and dish was great. The wine list was really good too.

The quality of food is consistently outstanding, we travel 30 miles regularly to this Cote as we know we won’t be disappointed. The staff are always helpful and attentive and the ambience just right.

Our evening was as lovely as usual. The food was excellent, the rhubarb martinis were fabulous and our waiter was exceptional. Another wonderful evening.

Our food was tasty, and enjoyed by all in our party of five. Our table was very comfortable and spacious. Inclusion of a vegetarian in the party had been notified to Cote when booking, and the vegetarian menu was made available immediately without any further need to request this - much appreciated. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. We all thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Cote.

A warm welcome from friendly staff . Nice bistro style food ...basic French cuisine at its best, reasonably priced. A good selection of wines too. Great atmosphere !

Cote always deliver on flavour. We had belly pork today which was full of flavour, and the staff were friendly and efficient. We will definitely go back.

Saw your veg menu on line but restaurant didn't have any copies of the menu to show us. Manageress very helpful took info from till and we managed to have a nice veggie meal after all.

We had a lovely evening at La Cote Winchester. The food was excellent and we had a complementary Kia royale as it was my birthday week which we enjoyed. . The only slight problem was it was extremely noisy in there as so many diners, my 88 year old Dad had trouble hearing the conversation ! Perhaps a few soft furnishings would absorb some of the noise ?!

Lovely food but had to get Camembert sent for more cooking as not gooey enough. Excellent service though including a free glass of wine as good will gesture 😊

4 of us went for lunch on a Saturday in April. The food and service was excellent and attentive and the meal was good value.

We love eating at Cotes Winchester and probably eat there once a month. The service is always great and the food superb. We were a little disappointed during this visit as some of the breakfast items weren't available, but otherwise a very pleasant visit

We were entertaining a business friend: enjoyed the meal and the occasion and, on the whole, the service was excellent - except that I twice felt we'd been forgotten or overlooked. We waited a long while for a starter at the beginning of the meal: the member of staff apologised when it was finally brought to the table so I think it had been sitting ready somewhere and only suddenly spotted; and then we were left rather a while with the desert menus. Otherwise all was very pleasant. Other minus point, as always, is the noise level but I suppose we probably have to expect that at a popular restaurant.

Excellent menu and choice, quality French food, wine and desserts. Good friendly service. Relaxed atmosphere, nice buzz about the place. Prices ok but beware of 12.5% service charge on your bill!

We had an enjoyable meal. The service was good. My fish dish was served with sliced potatoes which were very much undercooked but the plate was taken away and a fresh plate with well cooked potatoes was provided. We were pleasantly surprised when the waitress advised us that we were not being charged for our coffee as an apology for the fish dish having to be replaced - very good customer service, thank you.

Loved it as usual, but the steak was served rather than grilled.

Food was consistently good as usual. Service was friendly but a little sparse. Bill came with ‘optional’ 12.5% tip but the server was unsure how to use the card machine when we choose to apply a different level of tip. If you are going to add an ‘optional’ charge, please train your staff to deal with alternative levels of gratuity. .

Lovely breakfast, good service. Only negative the bacon baguette was a little over crispy - maybe untoaasted baguette would be better? Need to put butter on the baguette as well.

Excellent friendly and helpful staff made our experience very enjoyable. Good selection of dishes on your set menu catering for those that don’t always want carbs. I Will not hesitate to recommend cote Winchester to any of my friends.

Great meal excellent service good atmosphere. My daughter is coeliac and we could not fault the way she was looked after. The manager made sure the choices were correct and then made sure they were delivered to the table, nothing was too much trouble. If you are coeliac you should go here to eat as you can do so with confidence.

While the food and service was excellent, the overall experience was somewhat marred by the emails that were received beforehand - particularly the emphasis on the fact that the table was booked for 60 mins! Do you realise how that then affects the experience. We chose Côte Brasserie out of many other choices because we (usually) find it relaxing. Having received these emails it was impossible to ignore the fact that our hour was approaching - even though most of that timing depended on how efficiently we were served - but ultimately the fact we had been told we were on this schedule ruined the overall experience. If this is stated in the future we will not be returning. No mention incidentally was made of this at time of booking. I booked online and the booking confirmation that came back just stated the start time. If it had have stated the 60 mins at that point I would have cancelled and booked somewhere else.

Great service, lovely food and the bonus of a free drink - fabulous! I had the steak and frites and my friend the half chicken and frites, both so tasty and great value for money! Thank you.

Choice of food was varied and extensive. I had Mussels followed by Bretton Chicken which was excellent. The service was professional without being intrusive. Overall a very pleasant lunch experience

Absolutely amazing, the lady who greeted and served us was lovely, kind and efficient and put my mind at ease. I had been rushing and worrying trying to get there on time and as soon as I got there all my worries went away. Thank you so much for letting us have such a special evening.
