All the food and the service was excellent. Would have been good to have olive oil dip with bread and olives. Otherwise, an excellent meal.
I normally have an amazing time at Cote but the place was too hot , my pudding was soggy and we had to wait ages before our order was taken. Disappointing experience.
Excellent menu, great service, lovely to sit outside in the garden in lovely weather. All is perfectly summarised in that short sentence. Overall very enjoyable.
I've eaten at Cote several times. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. It was very busy but the staff were still attentive and efficient. A consistently good place to eat.
We were greeted on arrival by manager who was delightful. The service overall was first class. The food was up to its usual high standard. Have been visiting Brighton branch from first day it opened and only once have had an issue, which was speedily resolved. Thank you
The air-con was broken and it was extremely hot upstairs. The staff looked like they'd collapse. There were places downstairs but we weren't offered one.
A great place to go to celebrate anything. Feels like a little bit of Paris in Brighton. Not cheap- but not ridiculously priced either. The food is good and consistent, but it's the atmosphere that makes it worth the visit. Try and sit downstairs as upstairs feels a little out of the buzz. The creme caramel is worth the trip alone......
Fantastic food and excellent service with professional mannersz loved the buzzing ambience. Had a such a lovely evening, I will definitely go back to Cote restaurant again.
Lovely meal restaurant has such a great atmosphere really nice friendly staff - love going to Cote Brighton - food excellent and very reasonably priced! Got free glasses of Kir Royals through the Cote Reward card!
We have never been disappointed with the food and service here. It is also close to the theatre and shows nearby. Early dinners are very good value
The service was very attentive and our meals were served promptly. The onion soup was excellent but asparagus was not presented well and a little unappetizing. Creme caramel and creme brulee were lovely but it was disappointing that apple crumble could not be served with custard. The vin maison was fine.
The staff were polite, cheerful and helpful and the food was superb. Two small points that dropped the score from 6 to 5, and those were 1) there was quite a wait between courses, which we could understand for the main course, as it was all freshly cooked and beautiful, but the dessert was a pre-prepared one, and could have been with us within minutes, especially as the restaurant was by no means full; and 2) there was a service charge on the bill, which we were quite happy to pay, as the staff had all been very good, but we would like to have had the choice of how much to reward them.
Service very slow we waited over 10 minutes to place an order and our food came before our drinks which we had to chase. This isn't always the case at this restaurant have always had great service possibly just an off day. Food was good.
Lovely greeting at the door, they gave us a nice table and complimentary kir royal as it was our anniversary :) food was great as usual 👌🏻
Good value 2 course lunch menu. Food very good, but sadly we all found the portions too generous and had to leave some. Service rather slow - perhaps our server was new.
As ever the welcome was warm and the food delicious. We spent a very happy evening and were delighted by the new items on the starter menu. We'll be back soon!
My wife and I were treating my sister and brother-in-law on their 40th wedding anniversary and we were hoping our visit to Cote would be suitably special and memorable. Happily, our expectations were met in lots of ways. The enthusiastic welcome, and attentive service throughout our stay, meant we could concentrate on enjoying our food and conversation. All of us were impressed by the quality of our individual menu choices which were not only delicious but also presented with care and flair. If I had to point to one downside it was that the first pouting of white wine was not as chilled as it should have been. However, it arrived at the table with an ice bucket, which meant that subsequent pourings were fine. Altogether a really pleasurable experience.
Was greeted and seated. Drinks order taken. The food order was taken following delivery of our drinks. We didn't have to wait long to be served and the bacon and egg salad we had as starter was delicious. We followed this with the chicken dish with the beans, olives and tomato. To end the meal we just enjoyed a coffee. Altogether a very enjoyable dining experience
Pleasant meal. Noisy venue. Staff a bit distracted, made several errors in serving and had to be reminded what to bring, including cutlery and water! Seemed to be getting things from other tables rather than all tables already set.
I have been going to Cote Brighton for many years and have never had a bad meal. The staff are always polite and very helpful. if you do go have the apple crumble for desert its wonderful.
Our waiter was attentive, and gave us the best service. Thank you we will definitely go there again. The Pork belly with calvados is what I would recommend
Amazing!! Love coming here it's always amazing lovely staff and great food and great value for money. Come here quiet often for this reason! Amazing
It was May Bank holiday Sunday and inevitably the restaurant was very busy. Service was generally up to our expected standard but rather slow, probably because it was busy. We had to remind the waitress twice about our wine order. However the food was excellent as usual.
WE HAVE BEEN LOYAL DINERS AT COTE FOR MANY YEARS - MAINLY IN BRIGHTON BUT ALSO LONDON. WE CHOOSE COTE BECAUSE THE SERVICE IS GREAT, THE PRE-THEATRE MENU IS GOOD VALUE AND THE FOOD IS CONSISTENTLY GOOD. REGRETABLY THIS COULD NOT BE SAID OF OUR LAST TWO VISITS TO BRIGHTON. THE CHICKEN (FROM THE A LA CARTE MENU) WAS VERY OVERCOOKED ON ONE OCCASION, AS WAS THE SEABASS LAST NIGHT. MY ASPARAGUS STARTER WAS ALSO TOUGH AND STRINGY. PERHAPS THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE OF CHEF, OR WE HAVE BEEN UNLUCKY. LET'S HOPE IT'S THE LATTER!
Consistently well priced and tasty food and good service. Always a good choice of restaurant in Brighton with a great atmosphere. Both my courses were from the 'May specials' and were excellent.
Service friendly. Food tasty. Caught the set menu so affordable. Bit of a wait for main course so had to eat quickly as going to theatre.
Great food as always and amazing service from the staff, who really made my daughter's birthday special. We all enjoyed our evening thoroughly. Thank you!
Lovely attentive and friendly staff - extremely busy, but to be expected as was over a bank holiday - excellent quality food at a reasonable price
Always a nice place to go - reliable and constant. Food good (although the veal I had last night was bland), service always prompt, friendly and knowledgable. The situation is excellent - interesting building and very central.
Excellent service staff cannot do enough for you & the food is superb especially the steak. Really buzzing atmosphere highly recommend for couples or groups.
Fabulous as ever. Love Cote, superb ambience, friendly, helpful staff, and great value delicious food. With a great benefits as part of the loyalty scheme.
The formula breakfast was extremely good value including a hot drink, juice and a choice of cooked breakfast. Read the Sunday papers and all very pleasant
Good meal and service as usual, but small portion of tuna disappointed. Front of house responded with comped desert which was appreciated, otherwise it would have been a six.
We always find that the food and service is very good, as was the case today. I had the same meal in London last week!
I had eaten in Cote Brighton a couple of months ago and was so impressed with the food and service that I booked for lunch on my next visit to Brighton. I was reassured to find the food was excellent again together with polite and friendly service . Well done Cote!
Always enjoyed the food at Cote very well cooked good atmosphere and would highly recommend this to anyone at the place to eat! Highly recommended
Lovely atmosphere and fairly mid range for pricing we had a lovely table by the window - we weren't entirely happy with one of our main courses but as always the customer comes first here and they replaced the dish and gave us a complimentary pudding to say sorry. Excellent service and a thoroughly lovely meal. Dee, Brighton.
We always find that the food and service is very good, as was the case today. I had the same meal in London last week!
Lovely food. Air conditioning needs adjusting - it was very warm A smile wouldn't go amiss! We would like to know more about the history of the lovely building
I usually visit cote en route to the theatre and enjoyed the food on the set menu. The service is always good, as is the food.
The service was good, however the food was not up to the usual standard. I had the asparagus risotto which was ok but covered in wilted discoloured watercress! My husband had the chicken, avocado, salad and due to the stacking system, (fine for hot food,) didn't work as the salad was warm , very unpleasant. Overall we felt the standard had dropped sadly.
We requested and received a table by the window as it can be rather noisy when busy. The food and service were very good. Good value at £10.95 for two courses. My companions particularly enjoyed the Cream Caramel and the Peach Crumble with ice cream. A good experience.
Great service. Very professional. We had a good time. Specially at a busy time at lunch. No problems. I had to top up my wine. But it's ok I'm not a snob. Thank you!
Overall very enjoyable as always. Pleasant service and good food. Only downside was the starters menu which had dropped both my favourites since last visit.
The welcome is warm the service is good the food is excellent and the restaurant always has a good and happy feel whatever time of day or evening you are there
Cote is consistently good and is ideally located for a pre show dinner. The pre theatre deal is really good value and the place has a great ambience too.
Excellent food and service , great atmosphere .My only negative comment is that sitting upstairs lacks that cotes hassle and bustle that makes this restaurant a fantastic place to eat.Have eaten here many times and never had a bad meal .
Great service and food as we have come to expect from Cote. even when busy. Great location right next to Brighton Dome for concerts. Staff very friendly.
Great Service Fab Food One of the best meals in Brighton. Good location right in the centre of Brighton and close to the station. Will revisit soon.
As everytime we go, good food, good service and very good value for money. The menu has something for everyone and the monthly specials offer further choice. French brasserie cooking at its best.
Excellent service & tasty food well presented. Although they were very busy, as usual in Brighton, our requirement to be away by 19.00 was met exactly.
