Consistently well priced and tasty food and good service. Always a good choice of restaurant in Brighton with a great atmosphere. Both my courses were from the 'May specials' and were excellent.

Service friendly. Food tasty. Caught the set menu so affordable. Bit of a wait for main course so had to eat quickly as going to theatre.

We had a fantastic 1st experience, food and service was great. We would have liked a a little longer break in between ordering starters and main.

Cote Brighton always offers great value, with great food and a great service. What's not to like on a balmy May evening with great friends?

Fantastic food and service. Don't plan to have a drink there before your meal or you will be turned away. Book beforehand too. The atmosphere is buzzing and the restaurant surroundings very attractive and mellow.

Reasonably good, but I did not enjoy this visit as much as other visits. First we were offered to be seated upstairs, it was extremely hot up there and quite dark, which would have been ok f it hasn't been v light out. They moved us as soon as I requested. Restaurant is pleasant and spacious. Downstairs we were seated right opposite the door, good as cooler but had a queque of people to our side. The service was ok but not especially attentive. The gluten free menu is good but the dish I chose, poulet grille was quite plain and there was an extra charge for a sauce, which was a nice wild mushroom and creme fraiche one, but for some reason this was just included on the ordinary menu. Desserts were good. I have enjoyed other visits more but generally like this place.

I normally have an amazing time at Cote but the place was too hot , my pudding was soggy and we had to wait ages before our order was taken. Disappointing experience.

Was greeted and seated. Drinks order taken. The food order was taken following delivery of our drinks. We didn't have to wait long to be served and the bacon and egg salad we had as starter was delicious. We followed this with the chicken dish with the beans, olives and tomato. To end the meal we just enjoyed a coffee. Altogether a very enjoyable dining experience

We were greeted on arrival by manager who was delightful. The service overall was first class. The food was up to its usual high standard. Have been visiting Brighton branch from first day it opened and only once have had an issue, which was speedily resolved. Thank you

The air-con was broken and it was extremely hot upstairs. The staff looked like they'd collapse. There were places downstairs but we weren't offered one.

Lovely meal with friend at Cote Brighton. Smoked Mackerel Rilletts starter was delicious. A few salad leaves were pale and sad around the edges. Sea Bass main also excellent. Won't have the choc pot dessert again; a bit small. Good value set meal.

A great place to go to celebrate anything. Feels like a little bit of Paris in Brighton. Not cheap- but not ridiculously priced either. The food is good and consistent, but it's the atmosphere that makes it worth the visit. Try and sit downstairs as upstairs feels a little out of the buzz. The creme caramel is worth the trip alone......

I have been a fairly regular customer at this branch over the years but the last few times I have noticed the service standards are not as professional as they used to be ,it's the attention to detail that seems to have gone .The food is nearly always excellent ,although on occasions cold but this has always been rectified immediately .One thing today was the fact I paid cash for the meal & had to ask for the change & receipt ,this is not the first time this has happened .It was not a large amount but with the 12-5% service charge already on the bill change should be returned to the customer .I did have a word with the meeter & greeter /maitre d' about the service as I felt she needed to know as you may be losing customers because of little things like this .I have a table booked next week hopefully things will have improved .

The service was very attentive and our meals were served promptly. The onion soup was excellent but asparagus was not presented well and a little unappetizing. Creme caramel and creme brulee were lovely but it was disappointing that apple crumble could not be served with custard. The vin maison was fine.

The staff were polite, cheerful and helpful and the food was superb. Two small points that dropped the score from 6 to 5, and those were 1) there was quite a wait between courses, which we could understand for the main course, as it was all freshly cooked and beautiful, but the dessert was a pre-prepared one, and could have been with us within minutes, especially as the restaurant was by no means full; and 2) there was a service charge on the bill, which we were quite happy to pay, as the staff had all been very good, but we would like to have had the choice of how much to reward them.

Service very slow we waited over 10 minutes to place an order and our food came before our drinks which we had to chase. This isn't always the case at this restaurant have always had great service possibly just an off day. Food was good.

The service was good, however the food was not up to the usual standard. I had the asparagus risotto which was ok but covered in wilted discoloured watercress! My husband had the chicken, avocado, salad and due to the stacking system, (fine for hot food,) didn't work as the salad was warm , very unpleasant. Overall we felt the standard had dropped sadly.

Excellent food and service , great atmosphere .My only negative comment is that sitting upstairs lacks that cotes hassle and bustle that makes this restaurant a fantastic place to eat.Have eaten here many times and never had a bad meal .

We were looking forward to the Brighton Festival's evening concert of classical music which we booked months ago. The only place we felt would match the high quality of the performance was to start with equally good meal & drink in an elegant place, good service and pleasant atmosphere. The Cote Brasserie absolutely ticks all these boxes for us. We dine there regularly, whether it's a dinner or lunch, a family celebration or going out with friends. More than that, we find the same quality of food and service at this restaurant chain in other places we visit during a year, London, Farnham, Winchester, to name just a few. The online booking is quick and simple, the menu and all the latest additions such as May Specials can be browsed in advance. The staff is very well trained and very helpful. Thank you for looking after us.

We requested and received a table by the window as it can be rather noisy when busy. The food and service were very good. Good value at £10.95 for two courses. My companions particularly enjoyed the Cream Caramel and the Peach Crumble with ice cream. A good experience.
