Staff were very attentive and food was great too. We got there a bit late and were in a rush, staff understood and rushed our food out despite the restaurant being very busy.
We have used Cote in Brighton a number of times & have always enjoyed the whole experience. Most occasions it has been early evening, prior to the theatre or a concert, but this time it was lunch prior to the theatre. We have always let the restaurant know we need to be away by a certain time & they have always ensured we complete our meal in good time. We can't speak too highly of the staff & the overall service, would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good food in a lively setting.
Dessert was really nice, even better than main course. Its better to go on week days, since they have lunch set and it will be much cheaper.
Cote used to be one of the best fail safe places for a good fillet steak.Sadly during our last 2 visits we have found the steak chewy and not the best quality. The staff are always lovely and the starter and deserts good.I hope they sort their steaks out soon!
Food was great this time - love the tuna rilletes. Service was excellent too and this particular venue is one of the best we have been too. Brighton it is!
This is a very spacious restaurant with a very good Sunday brunch menu. The service is very efficient from a very pleasant and friendly group of staff.
The breakfast was excellent and the offer made it very good value for money. The service was efficient and although there weren't many people eating there was a pleasant atmosphere
Very reasonable meal offer before 7 pm. Service charming and very efficient. The choice was good for each course and well presented. The things we ordered were very nicely cooked.
Value for money. A lovely meal, attention taste and look, in that order... thoroughly enjoyed the time at cote, with consistency anywhere in the country. Bravo!
Enjoyed experience very much. Service very good. Food nice - haddock parmentier far too salty though, I thought. My companion didn't notice but her dish was noticeably different to mine. Hers was in a nice sauce and browned on top, mine lacked sauce and was rather dry, and was not browned, or barely, on top.
Smaller portions than I remember but still lovely food , been literally dozens of times and never disappointed with the quality. Looking forward to the next visit.
Cote Brighton is our favourite go-to restaurant in Brighton - a city with many good restaurants - because the food is always consistently good, the value is unbelievably good and the service is excellent. Perfect for a pre-theatre dinner since it is a few steps away from the Dome.
As always, great service and beautiful food. Not massive portions, just as it should be so you can enjoy a 3 course meal without feeling stuffed or guilty .
I was disappointed with our meal. I usually enjoy Cote, but both my starter and our mains were almost cold, and therefore unappetising. Hopefully they were just having an off day.
Excellent food, value, and service. From start to finish we enjoyed the whole experience. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly as indeed was the lady who met us on entering the restaurant.
Fabulous meal as always. Great food, atmosphere and very friendly staff. It's our favourite family place to eat out. We tend to eat on the 3 course set menu which has a great choice of food to eat.
Friendly, helpful staff. Delicious food eaten in a relaxed atmosphere. A most enjoyable experience. Will definitely visit a Cote restaurant again. Enjoyed our free bottle of wine. Thank you.
As always this venue was lively and the staff welcoming. The food is really good and I am only giving a score of 5 rather than 6 because I was a little disapppointed in my main course - my fault for choosing it. I should have stuck with one of my old favourites. I shall be back and look forward to it. We often go to Cote in Chichester too - also always a pleasure.
The Cote Lunchtime menu is good value for money and the service is excellent. The à la carte menu has some authentic French dishes including Cassoulet. Highly recommended
Very nice restaurant, just across the road from the Dome. Excellent food and service. This was a very enjoyable visit overall. Would happily recommend to friends!
The food was delicious, as always, and great value. We chose from the 3 course early evening menu. The service was great; food delivered at just the right pace so you had time to savour it and didn't feel you were being rushed through your courses. Our waitress was both charming and efficient.
The food was really good and the waiter was lovely!- however, we felt as though we were a little rushed, would have been nice for more time between starter and our main
We went for lunch and had the set menu, I've been to Cote many times and the food never disappoints, and the staff are so tentative, the atmosphere although busy was quite relaxing.
Food was great as was the attentiveness of staff. I have been to several Cote restaurants but this was my first visit to the Brighton branch and I was amazed at the location which was great!
Good food, good atmosphere, nice waitress but very small tables with very little place between them. The table next to us could certainly here every word of our terribly interesting conversation.
Cote Brasserie - Brighton. Attentive service, good choice on the menu, excellent House Red and coffee was really good, all in all a good start to a night out at the Theatre Royal and it was not far to walk either. Highly recommended.
the food was good and so was the service. the table was slightly mobile. we liked the position of our table but it was also a bit of a thoroughfare.
Very efficient and food served at very reasonable rate - perfect for pre-theatre dinner! Tasty menu and will certainly visit again when we have theatre tickets.
Arrived on Sunday evening and restaurant was very busy. However, we had booked and although early restaurant was more than happy to accommodate us. All the staff very very efficient and friendly and the food which was served very promptly was excellent.
A beautiful building right opposite The Dome, so perfect for pre-gig dinner, as in our case. Divine steak, beautifully cooked & a good bottle of red. Friendly & helpful staff. Would recommend.
I Often go to Cotes with my girl friends in the evenings and sometimes befor 7pm for special menue food allways very good great atmosphere
Apart from slight booking issue - rewards programme assumed 2 people and couldn't seem to change it to 4 - everything was excellent. Perhaps there could be more scallops?!
Consistently great food, fantastic service and atmosphere.. the Breton chicken is sublime as is the steak tartar.. a great place to be with friends.. what's not to like?
the wine was great for the price, I had the steak which was just how i liked it and the O/H had fish stew which she loved and the service was lovely
Excellent food and friendly staff. We were made very welcome on arrival and there was a great customer service from all staff. The food and quality of wine was second to none
Beautiful venue, good service and of course great value food. We popped in before the theatre and were very impressed by the whole experience. Always reliable!
Just like any other Côte, good service, good food and for a reasonable price. Would happily go back again just like any other Côte, thank you.
Excellent service, great food. Only downside restaurant is far too loud and noisy. Its needs something to break up the sound. Probably would not go back as often because of that
You always get good polite service at Cote, the staff always seem to be there at the right time. Food is always good and wins choice good.
over all food good but steak not rare as requested service varied as the restaurant became busy during lunch staff very helpful on the whole
Great atmosphere, good service and excellent food. Nice range of dishes on the menu at reasonable prices. Would recommend it to family and friends for a good evening out.
nice food exceptional French accented waitress Cote Rewards gratefully received.Delicious mushrooms on brioche bun an a nice flute of Kir Royal to start. in the terrace garden under an olive tree
I was a bit disappointed with my starter (had the poached egg) it was on a lot of vinegar but overall great value and I will definitely go back
The day manager in the 8-04-17 was fantastic . The staff witty and happy great work guys . Food was ok .a little more pics ingredients in the cod parmentier
We enjoyed an excellent lunch today. Great food and great service. It was a special occasion made even more special. Can't wait for the next time.
Arrived a tad early but no problem:-) Food great quality and hot (if appropriate). Good fizzy and red, difficult to fault food and friendly service. We will go again and highly recommend.
Great food, quickly served and attentive staff. If your in a hurry then the 'Plat rapide' are just that which is great as a pre theatre meal
There was a good atmosphere and friendly service. The menu had good choices but we don't agree with the 12.5% service charge. 10% is usually the expected tip.
We visit Cote Brighton quite regularly, we love the food the ambience and the professionalism of the staff who all go out of the way to ensure you have a great experience, top place to eat.
We were greeted by the by the staff who had our booking and our request for Gluten Free. We could choose our table and our waiter Luis was very helpful and attentive. A great evening and excellent food.
