Steaks weren't as nice as I expected but the sides were great, the wine reasonably priced, the service good.

Visiting the city for my husbands 50th birthday. Great restaurant, friendly staff and delicious food. Make sure you book and if you’re not good with stairs - Speak to them before you get there.

We were a little late but the staff were brilliant. The atmosphere of the the cow shed was relaxed and friendly , the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, the food was outstanding we got the greedy cow. Would definitely go back again

Steaks cooked to perfection. Staff very attentive and knowledgable. One small note of warning is that the menu is limited to steaks and one vegetarian alternative so this won’t suit all tastes.

Staff were very friendly the steaks were superb and the restaurant had a lovely ambience. Will definitely come again & recommend it to everyone.

Omg ate here Sunday night a last minute decision........ atmosphere was great staff was amazing and the food well best steak platter ever fantastically cooked exactly as asked ... sauces had great depth of flavour side dishes great especially the creamed cabbage and pancetta. Shame my favourite wine was out of stock but had a great Rioja Will be back

The food was amazing. The waitress was well informed when it came to the menu and ingredients and helped us select our meals. Can I also add the meal came very quick considering how busy it was. Fab experience will be visiting again.

I googled the best steak house in Liverpool and cowshed popped up, the reviews were really good, so thought I’d try it as me and my husband love steak. We were both really pleased with the food the service and how reasonably it was priced. Will definitely come again.

We had a very warm welcome from the staff and were taken straight to our table. We shared the haloumi bites starter which was delicious and I had a ribeye and my hubby a rump. The sides were delicious and this is now my husband’s “death row meal”. It was our anniversary and we were given a complimentary drink which was a nice touch. We’ll definitely return

Great meal - we were happy to tip but object to the automatic addition of a 10% service charge - it is the customers choice to do that and is off putting to have it added
