Good service, fantastic food as always. The greedy cow definitely did not disappoint!

Second time we have dined at the Cow Shed and certainly won't be the last. The food and service are second to none. The staff are really friendly and recommended a nearby bar to visit afterwards where we had an excellent end to our night.

I visited the Cowshed with a friend as she really wanted to eat steak. The restaurant had a very trendy laid back appeal and staff very attentive and friendly. The menu was all meat with just one cauliflower steak as a nod to the veggies and vegans. As long as you know it’s all about steak ( the clues in the name after all) you won’t be disappointed. Our rib eye was very tasty and the accompaniments lovely and filling. The price was reasonable and the house Malbec was lovely. I can fully recommend and thanks to all at the Cowshed for our lovely night out x

Excellent from start to finish. Greeted by friendly staff on arrival and shown to our booked table upstairs. There are several smallish rooms over a couple of floors which gave it a lovely initmate feel without being overcrowded. Loved the background music - the tracks of my years! Offered drinks of which the cocktails were beautiful, dark chocolate espresso martini and banoffee rum and the wine list is well priced too. Only small plates of nibbles to share to start but that is all you need when you are waiting for your steak. Had the Greedy Cow, perfectly cooked and tender, don't think I've ever had such tender rump steak and the special of the night of (I think) salt and pepper fillet steak which was nice and spicy. Sauces and sides beautiful too. Had green apple panna cotta which was lovely and creamy with crunchy crumb sprinkled over it and bread and butter pudding for dessert. Everything was gorgeous and can't fault it at all. All the staff are excellent and made a fuss of my daughter on her birthday. Thank you everyone at Cowshed. We will return.

This was a first visit to Cowshed for me and my wife. Right from the beginning the staff were engaging and pleasant. Ordering a bottle of Portuguese Douro (Red) was an excellent choice: modestly priced for such a fine wine. We shared a tasty starter of focaccia with truffle oil; it was splendid. The steaks for main course were perfectly cooked to our specification: medium rare allowed their flavour to be expressed. Possibly a little two much salting for our tastes, but that is a minor point. The rump and rib eye steaks were accompanied by plates of fries and garlic mushrooms: nicely cooked and not over the top in terms of quantity. We enjoyed the food very much, as did the ‘hen’ party at the next table: they never stopped screaming!
