Very good food and excellent service. (I could have done without the background music; but it was not as a loud as in many restaurants these days).
Booked this restaurant for my birthday. 9 of us dined downstairs and had a very good meal with great service. Our waitress and her assistant (in training) were very attentive. The food was delicious, particularly the Burrata and all pasta dishes. Looking forward to returning
A great authentic Italian restaurant, tucked away on a quiet little street. Lovely friendly atmosphere and staff. Delicious food with a good range of vegetarian options. Also have gluten free pasta and will even prepare a pasta dish on request if you don't see what you like. Easy walking distance of the West End so great for pre-theatre dining. Prices pretty standard for London. A real gem, definitely be going back.
Very welcoming, great service with lovely food. So much to choose from will go back again to try other dishes! Remember to book though as a small intimate restaurant.
Really lovely restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent, we were really looked after. The food when it arrived was great, with generous portions. Would definitely recommend it, and will go here again.
As always Da Paolo was splendid. Great food served by attentive, lovely staff. Would highly recommend to anybody Can't wait for our next visit here.
Located on a traffic free street. Good all round experience - food, service & ambiance. Small family friendly restaurant with plenty of choice on the menu. Will go again.
Fine Food, maybe too big portions, but delicious. Service was Excellent. Nice place, and you CAN get an italian brandy (a bit too small) to you coffee. Remember to book in advance.
great food, extremely attentive staff (not pushy or in your face). great surroundings - authentic family Italian! A firm favourite, hence going there for over 10 years.
Food and drinks were delicious. We were placed on the basement table and felt like no one remembered to check on us and we were waiting long time to be served.
Fantastic food, good service in a lovely rustic Italian Restaurant. Just what we were looking for instead of a big chain restaurant. Would go back
Delicious food, very friendly, attentive, and accommodating staff. Was there for a business dinner and sat in the basement. It was possible to have conversations despite the restaurant being full.
Staff is welcoming and the food is yummy too. However, I find the taste of the white wine is a bit blend. But is is hided gem for the local.
Excellent food. Very large portions. Great ambience and atmosphere. A little gem in central London but don't go there if you don't want to hear the conversation at the next table as it is cramped but do go there for the food! We loved it. Try to get a table on the ground floor not in the basement.
Nice friendly Italian restaurant in central london. Decent portion size and fresh ingredients meant it was a tasty experience. Recommended and I certainly will be back again.
everything was just great ! the food, the service, the location and the athmosphere ! very good address... i will come back as soon as possible
Great food, great service & a cute setting. We will be going back for sure! Oh and they gave us a shot of lemoncello for free
great service and lovely food , The selection of dishes was great. Only issue I had was cost of wine. Family orientated restaurant which had a great feel.
Rather old fashioned. Food was reasonable but not very memorable. Felt like an Italian restaurant from the 1970s and food was slightly of that era.
The food is excellent and the decor is delightful. Prices are reasonable. Service is quite slow when it is busy but everything is freshly cooked. My one complaint is that I was not allowed to book a particular table on the ground floor, was made to go downstairs where I was told it was less noisy, and it became extremely noisy. Perhaps they are more accommodating early in the week. If not...
Very authentic Italian eaterie, very good meal. The service was just perfect. For starters the minestrone soup was very hearty, and for mains I recommend the tortellini. Top class little place
A great little restaurant. off the beaten path in Charlotte Place. Intimate setting, attentive staff, wide menu with fabulous food and wine. Don't miss it.
Good food slightly on the pricey side. Though servings were plentiful. Small restaurant. Would have been cozy but service was rather grouchy verging on the unpleasant. Probably wouldn't go back.
Great restaurant, nice service and excellent food. Totally recommend it. I am a regular customer and it is always nice to go back to this restaurant.
V.good service, waiters, and waitresses very prompt. The quality of food is spot on, with not too long of a wait, ambiance is romantic and soothing. Overall good quality affordable Italian restaurant.
We had a lovely long Mothers day lunch here. The staff were great and the food delicious. We will definitely go back again very soon.
Wonderful local restaurant Good portions Decent wine list I still enjoy dining at places that have proper tablecloths The staff are friendly The lobster pasta is excellent !
Overall we enjoyed the early evening meal after a visit to a theatre. One moan though, the fixed price menu on the back was just for 4 people but there was 8 of us. Spoke to the manager but was told it was the rules but couldn't explain why it was the rule. In reality the dishes could be ordered off the main menu and there wasn't much difference in the overall price. Shame that this slightly irritated us all. I would suggest you have a separate fixed price menu that you don't give to parties of grater than 4 to avoid this situation or preferably scrap this silly rule.
As always, the food was great and service spot on. Other diners just a bit loud today. Not really the restaurant’s fault! Always a great lunch.
Went to Da Paolo to celebrate my 60th birthday. It is a small establishment but with a lovely atmosphere and very friendly and efficient staff. The food was excellent and reasonably priced for London. Will definitely go there again when we next visit.
Fantastic Lovely atmosphere with great food Stayed two nights and went both times Rissotto and seafood pasta Very reasonable price as well Well looked after even though very busy
This Restaurant serves great food, the staff are friendly and polite and provide a good service. Da Paolo has a nice ambiance and is a great place to spend time.
Fantastic'o!!! No need to look elsewhere the atmosphere is perfect the service second to none the "genuine" friendliness made us both feel like the restaurant was open just for us both. OH! yes and the food scored top' marks all round. My partner who has restaurant experience finished every plat that was bought with enthusiasm to our table. Which is a first as that is not always the case..............We will be looking to go back when next in London, as I said there is no need to think about looking elsewhere.
Nice venue, food was excellent and staff were very efficient, would recommend, we’ll be going again. Wines were slightly on the expensive side but having said that they were very good.
Fantastic, authentic Italian cuisine served delightfully. A great wine list to complement the food. Pleasantly located in the heart of Fitzrovia on a small pedestranized street, so It is quiet too. Highly recommended.
Very attentive wait staff. Italian sausage starter was very good. The whole sea base main was outstanding. The fennel flavor as well as the tenderness was great. Nice atmosphere.
Nice compact restaurant, good menu and wine list. Had to wait a little while to get served but it was valentines and very busy. Tables very close together but certainly felt like we were in italy and eating good italian food. highly recommend and cost was £116 including £52 bottle of wine.......
What a super place! Incredible staff, delicious food, and a cosy but comfortable atmosphere. Won’t break the bank either, especially if you go for the pasta options. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here, and can’t wait to return.
fantastic atmosphere, proper homely food and good wine. I had the ravioli with mushroom and truffle, proper tidy. The lasgne was also very very nice
The restaurant served great food and the service was very fast. There was a good atmosphere and the place was packed, although it is very small. We will definitely go back.
Excellent food and excellent service. A must go for anybody who loves authentic Italian food. A warm welcome as soon as we entered the door.
The food was fantastic and the service was really warm and friendly. Lots of delicious options available, including gluten free pasta. Will be recommending this place to friends.
Lovely little restaurant, great, friendly and welcoming staff. We came in out of the rain to be seated downstairs where it was warmer. The food was amazing only down side is they had no lemon cheescake! Shame but maybe we will visit again. Would recommend to others.
Lovely restaurant with very tasty food excellent place had a great evening and will definitely be coming back again soon I would recommend coming here
Pleasant experience, nice atmosphere and good food. I was surprised that the piece of tiramisu birthday cake appeared on my bill along with the other deserts we ordered.....but that did not spoil the evening.
the food was very good and perhaps a little too generous , however the tables were too close together and hence was rather crowded.the wine was vry good and the waiter warmed to us as the evening wor on.
Lovely cosy ambience, good food, big portions though so go there hungry! Will definitely go again. Would recommend the house Prmitivo, excellent, fruity and full of flavour.
fantastic food as always, been there before and it never disappoints. Food and service excellent and the prices are very reasonable. Will definitely go back.
Excellent Italian food in a small cosy setting but with big portions. I requested an off-menu pasta dish which they were more than happy to prepare, and it was delicious. Would definitely return
Lovely little restaurant , you felt like you were in Italy. Great friendly service , food was delicious . Great portions and would definitely recommend a meal there . If we were to have a night out in London again we would book again
