This is an intriguing building with plenty of nooks and crannies in which to sit. There is also an outside (under the old market roof) used mainly as a bar and café where live performers change every half hour. Hence if you want a quiet meal sit inside away from the music! A reasonable selection of dishes and wines but tuned for quick meals and turning the tables over. We would have spent more but felt we were rushed into finishing so we left. Food was okay but nothing to write home about. Service was friendly but rushed and when busy it could be difficult to get anyone's attention.
We experienced Good food, at reasonable prices ,excellent atmosphere and very good service We will definitely return the next time we are in Covent Gardens
Really good service and food only thing I would say is the menu needs more choice
This is our third visit and was very pleasant, the food was ok but not as good as the previous visit. Service very slow and restaurant appeared relatively quiet.
What a great place. I took my girlfriend and son there recently to celebrate my OU graduation. I had the prawn toast delish! And the ham platter. girlfriend had the confi duck, melt in the mouth! And my son had the steak and kidney pie, best he'd ever tasted. If you like well cooked imaginative British food and excellent wine this is the place to go. atmosphere made even better by the antics of the classical buskers in the courtyard outside.
Helpful and courteous service from the start. Good food would definately go back. Great atmosphere as there was live entertainment in the outside section which adds to an enjoyable eating experience.
They was busy took ages to get the bill, got two ginger ales instead of one???.
Excellent wine, good food. Nice table but very near the door which every time someone came in or a staff member went out let in very cold air. Could do with a screen or inner door to make for more comfortable meal Would go again but insist on table away from the door
A very good afternoon tea in a lovely environment. Recommended!
We visited with a fractious baby at lunchtime today, and the staff could not have been more helpful. The food wasn't bad either! Thank you
Fun and lively venue, excellent food. A music quartet outside looked good. This venue would be equally as good in the summer months. We were s party of 7 and were in a private dining area, very special.
This is the second time we have visited this restaurant recently. The food is good and the atmosphere relaxed. I felt this time that there seemed a shortage of staff and the service a little slow, however they were friendly and acomodating within these constraints.
Great food and drink as always. Relaxed and easy atmosphere. Staff were attentive and helpful. Made a special occasion even more special.Thank you - we'll be back!
