Quick service, we were seated immediately and made aware of all the specials straight away. The food was excellent and came very quickly after we ordered. Nice atmosphere. Lunch menu in particular is fantastic value for money, would definitely return.

Food and wine great, service also great when a waiter showed up. There were large gaps between service and it seems like we saw every waiter in the house. When they stopped by they were friendly, chatty and accommodating, although they made a mistake with my partners food choice. Worth mentioning the restaurant looked fairly busy. The booking that I did online did not appear at their end, so when I arrived there was no table reserved, luckily they had a spare.

The food was lovely, it had a very home-cooked taste. And generous portions too! Very swift service. There was a lack of atmosphere, but that may be because it's quite a big place and in January the restaurant wasn't busy. The staff were very attentive. :-) I'll be back.

We were not offered the cheaper lunch menu until we specifically asked for one - the reason we came was because we wanted a quick cheap lunch whilst visiting Glasgow. Both menus should be offered when a customer come in.

Yet another fabulous night at Elia, we visit once a year at Christmas time, this is our third year in doing so. Staff are excellent and still the same guys for three years running, which is great and they remember you, giving you a warm welcome. The food is amazing and the Othello wine is delicious. Thank you Elia, see you next year!!!!

We loved it - the food, the staff, the ambiance. It was a great place for a pre-Christmas late Saturday lunch, looking out at the George Square lights coming on! We will definitely be back, and are inspired to holiday in Greece!

It's a fabulous place for lunch or dinner-food is consistent and the hose wine sets it off just nicely. It's so handy for the train station too being a two minute walk from Queen Street, so easy to meet friends there.

this is the worst restaurant I have ever been in. one particular waiter was actually quite aggressive. there was 2 children and 2 adults and one adult and child got no lunch because he said we didn't order anything. why were we there then? just to watch my niece and her daughter eating? never again

I booked Elia for a farewell meal with my friend who was moving South. I had recommendations from other friends and the menu looked great. The staff were friendly, food delicious and the pre-theatre menu was affordable for a mid-month treat. I will definitely eat there again.

First the food was distinctly average. The pork was overcooked and chewy. More importantly, they have a "early evening menu" until 7pm Sunday - Thursday. We could see other's with this menu. We asked for the menu and was told they don't have such a menu as it had finished. We then saw the waiter hand said menu over to the next customer. After a complaint, they handed us the menu. After that, the service was really poor. The waiter literally dumped our food on the table, not even in front of us. We had to reach over and move it. They then proceeded to overcharge us. We paid (an extra £4 or so) and walked out, knowing we'd never go back! Beware this restaurant, we received bad service and the waiter lied to us regarding the early evening menu. I have a feeling they did this because we definitely looked like tourists. This restaurant might be OK if you are a local, but they do not treat tourists, fairly. I recommend AVOIDing this restaurant.

Had a great evening with lovely food. The wine that we asked for wasn't available but the alternative offered was absolutely fantastic and we were charged at the lower price of the original - fabby! The staff seemed a wee bit cool when we arrived but that notion disappeared rapidly as the evening went on - they were all good fun and very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Fast efficient service from friendly attentive staff. Menu has a good variety to suit all tastes. Food was excellent with lots of flavours. Would recommend booking to avoid disappointment as the place is very popular and fills up quickly in the early evening. Would definitely recommend to others.
