Food was fantastic, staff were pleasantly friendly and very helpful. The restaurants decor was very nice. Only thing I would say is, read the menu carefully, I thought I was going to be buying a full king crab for £86. !!!!! My mistake, didn’t read on. As it’s £86 per kg, min of 3.5. Kg which was way out of my price range. So just had the leg and shoulder which was absolutely delicious. So all in all, a massively excellent experience. And worth every penny I spent. Thank you fancy crab.

My friends and I had a very nice experience in Fancy Crab, however, the price of their meal was too much. Food is average .

Decided to go to fancy crab for my birthday because of the reviews I had not only seen online but because of the menu and the open kitchen. I made a reservation 3 weeks ago and I had quite a few requests. My mum has breast cancer so I had to make sure we were on a table that was perfect for her to sit on because of how uncomfortable she is 99% of the time and fancy crab did just that. We were running 15 minutes late due to trying to organise my parents in their late 60's and have no sense of time and Fancy Crab were so accommodating and completely understood why we were late. The waitress was friendly and kept coming unto our table all night to make sure we were all ok. The food was OUTSTANDING, because it was my birthday we decided to go all out and order a lot of things, we ordered tuna tartare, 8 oysters, scallop ceviche, soft shell crab, clams and cockles and the deluxe platter. I honestly couldn't fault anything but the best part of the meal was definitely the soft shell crab. After having one too many cocktails ( I recommend asking the waiter on what cocktail to decide on because they really know what they are talking about) the waitress brought out a cake and sang Happy Birthday to me. I want to thank Fancy Crab for making my Birthday the best one yet and the waitress with the short black bob for being fantastic and really looking after us especially my mum. I will be back again without a doubt.

Service average, portions tiny. Too expensive. Far better seafood restaurants out there... Do your research and find somewhere better if you can. You'll save some pennies and time!

It was nice, the fish was very fresh and the oysters were lovely, but pricey for the small portions and I found a hair wrapped around my langoustine

Food was fab but service was inconsistent and the hostesses on reception were aloof. We regularly had to stop passing staff to ask for drinks or the table to be cleared, which then appeared to be a chore but we witnessed other tables being cleared as people were still eating. The uniformed staff were lovely but just didn’t check back very often and the male maitre de/manager was very accommodating when we asked to be moved away from a very loud large party table.

The food is really good but it's very expensive for the amount of food they served. If the doses were larger, it would be perfect.

Omg it was soooo amazing the staff were soooo good. The waiter was telling us the story on why it was the best crab and the service was amazing. The food we had to order more than wanted only because it was less which we knew by reading the reviews previously. It cost us quite abit but it was worth it fo my husbands birthday which the staff have sang to him too. Would definitely recommend and go there again.

Really great place for couples and parties. I was after a seafood place that was different. The environment and decor was stunning. The wide range of food was perfect. Prices are affordable. Waiters and waitresses were helpful in recommending dishes and drinks. The seafood has a slight asian twist to it and really surprised us. We plan on coming here again to hopefully get a whole King Crab!

It was one of my all time worst experiences with a supposedly high quality restaurant in many years. We were seated quickly and we were excited to begin our signature dinner during our visit to London to see our son. A young lady came quickly to our table for a drink order but seemed confused by what a “dirty martini” was and told me they did not carrry my brand of scotch. Since we pointed out it was listed on the menu she acquiesced. We added a glass of wine and settled in to enjoy the amazing red king crab so elegantly displayed in the display case. Up comes the bartender. No dirty martinis since they got rid of their olive appetizer. What? A bar without olives? And they indeed did not have the scotch I ordered and was listed on the menu. I asked for another on the list. Didn’t have that either. My son and I both made a third choice. They came quickly but no wine. My wife went to the bar to get her own. Again we settled back and prepared for a good evening even if things didn’t start so well. But we settled and settled and settled for over 15 minutes. No one came! We asked for the check, left and walked down to Burgers and Lobsters for a wonderful signature dinner. They were more than happy to help us spend the £300 for lobsters as big as your arm. But darn it we wanted a fancy crab.

It’s really nice inside, and a few tables outside. The food was really good. But it is let down by the service, you could look around and there were no staff on the floor, they kept walking passed your table when it clearly needed cleaning. You would ask for stuff and they forgot or were slow, we would of spent double the money on drinks if service was quicker, their loss. They have lots more tables down stairs, but clearly can’t book them because they don’t have enough staff.

Ask for the menu to be explained more so you understand what you are getting and the size of it too. I enjoyed my meal but thought there would be more crab for the price.

We visited on a midweek evening. We had the crab bites to start (excellent). Plenty of crab on the crackers. Crackers were deliciously light. We ordered the legs and claws (on ice) for our main. The crab meat was really succulent and (although some people have commented that it is too salty) it tasted perfectly of the sea. The accompaniment of sauces were ok (favourite being the mango). A side order of chips came with our main. Dessert, we had the chocolate fondant (the salted caramel ice cream was excellent) and the crab cheesecake. There’s no crab in it (but we were only told that after it had arrived). It was ok - nuts instead of a biscuit base. The restaurant is well spaced out. There was adequate waiting staff. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Service after the mains was too slow. Prior it had been good. Worth a return visit but careful what you order as it may not necessarily be enough!

Food was excellent. Probably the best red crab I’ve eaten in the uk. The flavours were so good we had to return the very next day to try the remainder of the menu. The manager Jason was exceptional, which made up for what could have been a let down of service from our initial waitress. His recommendations were spot on making our overall experience 10/10.

Second time here and the service actually got better; menu slightly changed yet as the name suggest go for crab. Good option is the claws & legs menu with minimum 400grams.

Slow service even though they were 20% full and 'whole crab leg' given it is a King Crab, was tiny, we were all a bit disappointed by that. Tasty food though.

Good overall, but some of the portions felt on the small side given the prices (our king prawn starter only came with 2 prawns). Staff were nice. Ask for a table upstairs if possible.
