Lovely time, as always, and we got our favourite table! Soup, whitebait, mussels and cod & chips all superlative. There was no room for dessert- so planning our next visit.

The freshest Fish and Chips I have had in ages. The Sea Bass was delicious too. Fishworks hasn't lost its charm. A great local restaurant

Somewhat disappointing food Chose this restaurant for its convenient location and light menu (fish) January set lunch (2 course menu for £18) offered good choices. Starters: tuna carpaccio was smothered in a sauce dominated by soy, so it was hard to taste the tuna. The other starter was sardines, again overwhelmed by sauce and condiments Main course: we both had the salmon, which was on the right side of adequate. Wilted spinach was good

A great restaurant. Perfectly cooked fish. Great choice of wines and desserts. Portions for me are quite large, but they did make it smaller, unlike some restaurants. Nice atmosphere and attentive service. My favourite fish restaurant.

Had a great lunch at Fishworks. They have a wonderful taramasalata starter with sour dough bread. Followed by Skate in black butter, rare to find these days. My son had prawn cocktail which was enough for him as a main course. Great coffee always coming with a delicious mini brownie! Great restaurant, very comfortable and very friendly staff.

Not my best visit and I was not impressed with the fact that they couldn’t tell me any more about the oysters which were a substitute for those on the menu other than that they were French. They had no idea where in France they came from. I waited and inordinate amount of time for my main course - when it arrived it was overcooked. They did offer to cook me another fish but I didn’t have time before my afternoon appointment. That said, they did take the price of the fish off the bill-however I would’ve preferred a nicely cooked piece of fish. I will go back.

Another good meal at Fishworks. Perfectly marinated Scottish smoked salmon, followed by a scrummy lobster thermidor with Jersey Royal potatoes. I still managed to find room for ice cream - grape, apricot and vanilla 😀

A la carte, scallops and brill, both rather disappointing. My friend had the set menu which was much better! Shame - I felt like a treat!

I had not been to Fishworks for a while. I thought the restaurant looked fresher, the staff were more attentive and my fish was excellent
