Good Sunday roast. Sat in what was the old bar at the back of the pub so not the most comfortable seating. Pleasant efficient staff.

Service was excellent. Staff helpful and friendly. The two of us both had the mussels special and both felt that it was alright , but nothing special.

Service great, food great, good selection plus specials - we had Sunday roasts which were lovely. Nice atmosphere. Not cheap but we will definitely return soon - probably for the mussels special.

Fantastic village pub offering high quality meals with a good selection of choices on both the main menu and specials board. The staff are always friendly and efficient helping to create a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Had a lovely meal at The Four Bells. We were seating in the lounge area rather than the restaurant itself, but all areas of this old world pub are just as nice. The food was of a really high standard (would really recommend the swordfish!) and the staff were friendly and attentive. We'd have no hesitation in recommending this to others, and we'll definitely be going again!

Great food no complaints at all. It's just the wooden seats are uncomfortable after an hour or so. We came with people who hadn't eaten at the pub before, they really enjoyed it and will come again. Thank you for all your hard work in keeping the food a good standard. Sue & Brian Dickenson

Excellent food, lovely pub with good choice of real ales and wine too. Service was a little slow but it was busy bank holiday weekend - otherwise great.

Even though we now live the other side of town, Four Bells is our go-to pub for tasty gastro pub food and a warm atmosphere. They have an ever-changing specials board and a menu that rotates often enough to never get boring and it's all reasonably priced. Never disappointed!

Very disappointing. Ordered 3 meals and only 2 came. My poor grandma had to watch us eat and then have hers half an hour after. It was her birthday and it was ruined. We were then charged for all 3 meals. Will not be returning.

The Sunday roast was disappointing., vegetables were tepid and had to be sent back. They seemed to be understaffed and service was very slow and inexperienced it seemed.

Lovely menu, a step above normal pub grub and at a good price. I had the monk fish which was lovely. Great to see a pub that can accommodate gluten free with ease. Will definitely return.

The food was really good and the service was excellent the only downside was being seated right next to the door in the bar area despite having booked 2 weeks before. It was the most disappointing of our 3 visits there for meals, especially as it was a treat for a family member and we kept telling her how wonderful it was going to be.

We had a great meal and great service, as usual. The 'specials board' was excellent. I had an amazing Barnsley chop and my wife had a great sea bass dish. Super starters also. Great night out.

Lovely lovely food, would try again just to give them a second chance as the service was very slow, main took a while but was lovely, having to go the the bar to prompt drinks even after ordering & being asked if we had ordered more between courses, asking for the dessert menu twice, never got the bill went to the bar to pay even thigh we asked, just slow slow slow! Not great but as I said food fabulous.

Bar staff were so rude and patronizing. We were given a kronenberg glass which had cider in it. A genuine mistake by the girl that served us but when we said it was cider not larger the bar man was so patronising saying no its lager. The girl offers to swap as she realized she had poured the wrong drink which was fine but the male behind the bar kept just saying no its lager treating us like,we didn't know the difference. We won't be going back. You don't go for Sunday lunch to be patronized.

We took our Son for a birthday meal, but his pint was a bit off, and his pie was cold in the middle. It had to be reheated. He drank his pint to save embarrassment.

Great ambience, food and family friendly. The outside swings and slide is a bonus for those with little ones to keep them occupied whilst waiting for food.

Made the wrong choice for my own meal. But my friends enjoyed theirs. Chorizo and Cod wasn't to my liking unfortunately. All previous meals I've had there have been excellent plus good service.

Starters were good: Camembert for me and my husband had the squid. My main was roast beef, meat was fine but the gravy was tasteless and the veg was boring and bland. My husband had the ploughmans, he though it was good overall but quite dry with doorstop bread and no butter. Service was not very good standard, had to ask for sauces and it was difficult to get someone's attention for more drinks. When I paid the bill, in cash, they keep the change, about £4.50, my husband had to ask for it.
