Service was really attentive but not over powering. Food was amazing, had the special of stone bass. It was delicious, and we'll seasoned. For drinks we had lots of cocktails, can throughly recommend most of them. Will definitely be going back.

Lovely, friendly restaurant. We ate a selection of the small plates which were all equally delicious. They were finished off nicely with a tiramisu martini!

Found this place a couple of months ago and it's now in my regular list. Ideal place to take clients or for catching up with friends/family

Very small portions, for the price they charge. Came away hungry, and had to go somewhere else to fill up. Plus, it annoys me highly when service charge is automatically added.

Perfect service by efficient and friendly staff and the food . . . well just lovely especially the crispy pigs head with picallilli and the liver which was cooked to perfection.

Food was excellent. Attentive but not intrusive service. All round very good and good value. No problem holding the table for a delayed arrival notified by telephone.

The food is very good, particularly for those who like light portions. Everything was tasty and imaginative and cooked by a very good chef. We would have rated 5, but we did have to wait a rather long time for our main course. Great coffee and a nice biscotti (chocolate) offered with it. All in all a nice experience and not too noisy which is a treat in a London restaurant.

We arrived at 5pm before going on to a play. Service was prompt, attentive and friendly throughout even as the restaurant progressively became busier. The menu isn't the longest but we thought what they did, they did very well indeed. The chicken liver brulee was subtle and delicate, the pasta cooked perfectly and calves liver, while looking like a chunky bit of meat, was deliciously tender. The vegetables ordered as sides were cooked perfectly. The bread was warm and tasty and to round off the meal the artisan cheeses were excellent. We very much enjoyed the meal and the restaurant.

The food was nice and the staff were all very friendly but the service was extremely slow despite there being very few people in the restaurant. They also seated a table of 6 people right next to us making it difficult for us to hear each other, despite the fact that the rest of the restaurant was virtually empty. It was also expensive !

My second visit here and the food remains excellent with a refreshingly different menu....veal chop was particularly delicious. Wine choice was interesting, if a little high end price-wise. Service was exceptional. Looking forward already to my next visit.

Very friendly welcome and staff knowledgeable about their products. Octopus starter really good but possibly a little small for the price. Very good pasta and duck was lovely. Don't miss out on a cocktail. A very good eating experience in theatre land.

Third visit. Booked as liked it so much before. Food was excellent quality but felt menu too fancy this time. Previously spoilt for choice as to what to choose but not this time. Previously pricey but worth it. This time pricey and wouldn't go again.

The menu doesn't offer much in the way of classical Italian cooking - at least, not the sort of dishes generally found in Italy, except perhaps in some smarter parts of Milano. That said, I had a very good plate of roast duck - tender, not at all overcooked, and generous. More international/fusion than Italian (in my view), but very enjoyable all the same. The wine list is reasonable, and I found a very nice Aglianico - authentic and good value. Desserts are good. I would certainly go back. Now if the chef could be persuaded to cook a saltimbocca with the same skill as s/he cooks the duck....

Can't possibly call this Italian. Poor food, service and is grossly overpriced. Cold undercooked meal, cold coffee Slow service. Would not recommend. A dissatisfied diner.

Pleasantly different & excellent waiting staff. The oxtail ravioli was fantastic & the lamb neck fillet beautifully tender. The waiting staff were attentive & helpful with any questions we had about the menu.

Good food, stylish restaurant friendly staff. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant particularly for pre theatre meals. The choice of wine by the glass and carafe is impressive.

We had a great meal at Four to Eight - just a few little glitches they need to iron out. The food was delicious and imaginative so I would definitely visit here again. The service started off well, with a warm welcome and attentive, helpful waitress. Unfortunately she vanished halfway through our meal to serve a large party who arrived to eat downstairs. The waiter who was meant to cover our table missed us - this was eventually resolved and luckily we weren't in a hurry. The table arrangements are also not great, we were seated by the window and the neighbouring table had to get up if we needed to leave our seats, everyone is too tightly packed in upstairs. The presentation of some courses needs a little more thought too - my lasagne tasted good but didn't look beautiful and the narrow deep bowl is rather awkward to eat from as the pasta needs to be cut. Also the pistachio bread and butter pudding is again delicious and probably a pretty green colour but in the dim light it looked like greyish mush. These are small niggles though - it was really a very enjoyable evening.

Pleasant pre theatre dinner. Went for set two course dinner. Starter pigs heads croquette was OK, albeit a tad fatty, it came with a piccalilli which helped cut through it . Main course calves liver was excellent with lovely mash and pancetta. Wine was fair value for money and service was attentive.

Four to Eight does a good job of serving a lot of customers. There's nothing wrong with the restaurant but equally there's nothing that special about it either.

We had dinner there before the theatre. Wonderful food and great service. Definitely the best meal I had in London. I recommend the pig's head.

Food tasty as were drinks, service fine. Ambience vibrant - even early evening. Let down by cocktails, wine bread and starters all being served together after a reasonable wait for our cocktails. Not offered wine to taste (it was good) and a side dish being missed.

Great alternative to the "theatre" restaurants in the area - always great food, and a nice atmosphere. The BBQ octopus and the black truffle pasta are my absolute favourites. We come back regularly!

The food was excellent, with service both friendly and efficient. Well-situated for Central London, and several of the main theatres are nearby. Would definitely go there again.

Great food and cocktails ! Directly opposite the Nouvello Theatre. Would recommend a visit at least once if you are in the area and going to see a show. They have a pre and post theatre menu.
