Excellently prepared roasts, seasonal, locally sourced and high welfare. Extensive array of vegetables. Delicious roasties. Good gravy. Generous portions. Good value. Pleasant ambience. Will definitely visit again.

Nice food, very well presented. Busy restaurant is a testament to how popular The Fox is. We have been for lunch several times now and have always enjoyed ourselves.

Nice mid week eatery. Carvery decent. Veg not piping hot, but plenty of choice and well cooked meats. Took 3 attempts to pick a dessert they hadn't run out of but the lemon tart was nice in the end. Good service. Not quick but very pleasant.

The food quality was good but it was not hot enough and the plates only slightly warm. Not to the standard of our first visit.

Fabulous meal for our group of 6 at The Fox yesterday: we all had the carvery and it was brilliant as usual! A choice of at least 5 different roast meats and an endless variety of roasties and vegetables. Excellent value for money, friendly staff, cosy environment. We've been there several times before, and will be going again as soon as possible! Highly recommended.

We visited on a Saturday lunchtime. The restaurant was undergoing some repairs which meant that there was a lot of banging and noise in the same room we were sitting in. There was no apology or explanation from the waitress and in our opinion works shouldn't have been happening whilst customers were eating. The food was nice although we had to wait 50 mins for the vegetarian tart to go with the carvery. It wasnt particularly busy. No one asked how the meal was or even when we paid were we asked.

Should be good when building work is completed. I wish they wouldn’t place dregs of previous containers on top of new ones! Food and carvery excellent value.

Excellent carvery - food superb. Was a little crowded in bar area, making it slightly difficult to negotiate with a plate of food to get to table but table was nicely placed in alcove with only a few other diners. Highly recommended and will visit again.

The staff were helpful and pleasant. The carvery was good with a good choice of vegetables, three meats and a veggie option (mushroom and sweet potato tart). The price was reasonable with a senior price also. Nice atmosphere, full but not hemmed in at all.

The cavery is great, however service was slow. The waitress’ don’t seem to have a great deal of training and desserts are a let down

The best carvery in West Midlands. Great service and good food. Will recommend to friends and family. Advisable to book a table as very popular.

Seating was very cramped we had to move to let other diners through to their table. Our table was close to the door therefore not very warm. There was a long waiting time if you weren’t having the carvery even if it was just a sandwich! Carvery itself had a poor selection of vegetables some of which had run out and longer available , beef tended to be rather chewy ,however other meats were fine.

The choice of meat and vegetables is vast. The carvery itself very tasty and faultless. The downside is that the room is very small and while we were eating, we were surrounded by people queuing for food, it was off putting. If I go again, I would ask for a table away from the carvery queue.

2nd vist here. Disappointing today. Plates weren't hot enough and beef wasn't cooked enough which made it very chewy. Plus side dishes of food was topped up efficiently.

Service was great and friendly. My husband had the carvery and thought the beef was overbooked and a bit tough. Apart from that the meals were good. We would go again and recommend it.

Excellent meal and service. The food and the choice of meat and vegetables in the carvery are first class. We ate the carvery although there is an alternative menu if you don't want the carvery.

This is our second visit now. brought the whole family as it was my 3 year old grandsons birthday. We all enjoyed the carvery yet again great food. We will be back for no.3 soon. Now for the downside of the night we walked in to find carpenters CUTTING wood in the bar it was also a bit on the cold side. But we still a had a good night thank you.

4 of us visited on a busy Sunday when only the carvery was available. There was a choice of beef, turkey and gammon and a good selection of vegetables. We all selected the beef and were each served a generous portion which was tender and well cooked - pink enough to satisfy those who prefer rare but not so pink that it put off those who prefer it more well done. The food was hot and tasty and the vegetables were fresh and cooked to perfection. Special mention has to be given to the garlic potatoes - delicious. We all enjoyed our meal and were too full for puddings afterwards .... Good value for money.

The restaurant is easy to find and has plenty of parking. The restaurant itself is very homely and welcoming, we were seated in the pub-side. Drink & Food order were taken quickly however took a while to arrive. We were disappointed to find that the carvery (which states on the menu finishes at 2pm) was still being served at 3pm, had we known this (we did ask, but were told it finished at 2pm) we would of ordered this. Instead we went for Scampi, Fish & Pie - all large portions and tasted lovely. Towards the end of the meal we kept trying to get the attention of a server however they seemed to be too busy having a chitchat to notice. Would come back again, but think the staff & restaurant need to be clearer on timings.

Not good at all. Sat away from other diners as divided off smaller main dining area was full or reserved. Seated across from bar by a draught open window. Windows all had closed blinds? so a bit dark. Then a large group came in and stood about 3ft behind us. They got louder and a couple of gents were swearing. Hopeful for food at this stage but half of food was hot and some not. Meat was quite cold. Not a good experience which was disappointing so won't be going back.
