Great food and friendly staff but the room was a bit cold on arrival though it warmed up slowly. Will definitely pay another visit.will highly recommend to friends.

A budget dining experience that was well delivered by attentive staff serving good traditional food.. not the Ritz but the Fox provides a comfortable and relaxed environment.

Excellent choice of vegetables and joints of meat ham, turkey, pork and beef all absolutely delicious would highly recommend. Best to reserve table. Enjoy !!

Sunday Carvery is a must ... Great choice of meats .... lots of fresh vegetables to choose from . Vegetables (ie sprouts , cauliflower ) were just a bit too crunchy for my liking but still very nice. Great service and war friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommend giving it a try and will be returning again .

We were made very welcome, and my friend and I both had the car very, and the beef was delicious and tender .We will certainly go again.

Very nice carvery we both had the roast beef which was cooked to perfection nice selection of vegetables comfortable pub with pleasant staff large car park.

Lovely carvery, 6 meat choices, with lots of fresh vegetables. Nice selection of desserts and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend and good time to go is 3pm onwards as less busy.

Food as ever (we have the carvery) was absolutely great. We were seated in the lounge area this time though (despite an early booking approximately 10 days beforehand). Service was a little slower this time, and did give us the feeling we were forgotten about at times, rather long wait (didn't time it!) or the pud, and then one was missing (quickly remedied). Perhaps if staff were allocated specific tables to look after (not exclusively of course) it may help to make table service more efficient.

Food was fantastic, lots of choice of vegetables but unfortunately the service was really slow, had to wait for someone to come round so we could ask for the bill and the plates were then taken away

Very busy, had to queue through tables where people eating, for the carvery on Sunday. Food was a bit expensive for a carvery. The staff were very nice.

Excellent food . We got there too coincide with the start of the evening carvery.The food was all fresh and piping hot ... no reheated stuff from earlier. A very generous portion of meat ...couldn't manage it all. Would highly recommend the carvery .

Great service. Drinks order taken when we were shown to our table & they arrived very quickly. Carvery was beautiful - there was turkey, gammon, lamb, pork, beef & venison to choose from as well as plenty of veg / potatoes. Very reasonable price also. Highly recommend

Service was slow but the staff were apologetic and polite. Our coffee was Luke warm. However the carvery was excellent and the atmosphere was cosy and comfortable.

The carvery is excellent here and delicious puddings to follow. Good drinks selection (gin and tonic o’clock!) and the atmosphere has improved 10fold since being taken over. We will definitely be heading back.

Lovely food lovely table service only criticism is where we were situated the table was really tight so not very comftable to sit and eat

I love this place! Was much busier than my previous visit (for must be getting round how good it is!) but staff were still great and carver queue soon went down. Highly recommend.

Nice meal, varied veg selection, some had additions like bacon with cabbage which didn’t suit some of our party. Good price though and the staff were very pleasant.

Very enjoyable, carvery was great. Kids loved it too and we will be back to visit very soon. Staff were very helpful and quick to serve drinks.

Excellent carvery and sweets and a good selection of beers, might not be the the place to go for a night out as they only allow an hour and a half for a table of four other than that I would recommend it to anyone it’s also easy to book through Quandoo.

Booked online and was seated in a cold area, close to the bar. Asked to be moved to be told not possible despite lots of empty tables when we arrived. Took ages for one of our three drinks to be brought to us. We had 3 carveries. Most of the food was luke warm, carrots were undercooked and some of the meats were chewy. At the end of the meal, what looked like a senior staff member asked if all was OK and we said it was was pretty average. Explained our concerns to be told "well you haven't left much". On leaving I addressed this staff member to explain that I didn't think sarcasm was the best form of customer service to be told "ah well that's your opinion" and off she walked. Appalling.

The food could have done with being slightly warmer, especially the gravy. There was a problem with the salt cellar, but I was compensated for the mishap.

The surroundings are really nice and the staff are very friendly staff. The carvery was well presented and the food was excellent, will definitely be back and will not hesitate to recommend it to friends.

Served a good plate of tender beef & turkey. But my Uncle was dissappointed as no lamb or venison left. Ate at 5pm so seems you must have to get there early to get full choice of meats. Had booked a table but were in the bar area rather than the restaurant which looked very nice & we would have preferred as our table was very close to a group of 6 so was quite noisy. Would go again if able to book in restaurant or quieter area. Vegs etc all hot & good.
