Excellent food, a real carnivore's delight. Very prompt & attentive service. Just one complaint, inasmuch as the background music was rather intrusive. Nonetheless, highly recommended.

A nice place. We had lovely steaks, great wine and a decent cocktail. Only criticism was the table was too small to fit it all on!!

Very attractive restaurant. Food was very good and service was excellent - friendly and attentive. (Difficult to park.) I don't approve of the minimum of 25 words policy of these reviews. I said all I wanted to say in the first 17 words.

Food was nice, restaurant was a little cold. Sat by the door. Preferred the old address. It looked more cosy and up market. Here is more casual, trainers and jeans.

Fabulous food. Every element was excellent. Decent wine. Alarm kept going off for a while there, but otherwise a lovely ambience. Don't expect to have room left for dessert.

Hair found in 2 different desserts. Waiter very good, however, the person in charge was very rude at times. Steak flavourless and could do with some seasoning.

Been going to Greens for a few years, this was the first time at the new venue in Southgate. We went on a Wednesday and had the £39 steak for two deal, 2 ribeyes, steak chips for me fries for my wife, plus a bottle of 'house red', we had onion rings as a side and coffees afterwards. Firstly the steak was cooked perfectly medium and tasted like a very good ribeye should and is weighted at around 12oz, steak fries were nicely cooked, slightly crisp on the skins and plentiful, also as standard you get some roasted garlic and tomatos, a touch that I have always like and often do at home now. The onion rings were a little too crispy, they used to be these giant crunchy things but I think they have changed to stay in keeping with the other sides price-wise as they used to be more expensive too, however they were still tasty, the wine (red) was surprisingly good and presents excellent value when you consider the deal. Overall I cannot fault anything, sure the restaurant isn't as ambient as it was down the road but then that venue was slightly unique, now that Brad/ 'Greens' is on the high street so to speak I'm sure that they'll do very well as although the venue doesn't have the same charm it is still warmly furnished as somewhere that serves high quality meat should be. Greens specialises in serving burgers and steaks, if that's what you're after then I can't find anywhere better for the price, and the burgers are very good indeed, challengingly so!...mine are better...maybe :-)

The food is perfect absolutely lovely steak cooked to perfection. Staff were busy but attentive. There were two problems with the experience, firstly there are too many tables. We watched on table being offered to diners all night but none could actually manage to fit into it! Others diners were also uncomfortable take the table out and make it a more comfortable experience. Secondly the menu cards are old and dirty now it’s a bit off putting. Replace them or laminate them so they can be cleaned!

Saturday night, Green’s. Yes, Great food but insanely busy. Service was good for how packed it was, they defiantly were not panicking and it all looked controlled, but it felt a little claustrophobic in there and it was very loud! I have to say, I am super fussy and steaks were first class. I was itching to find fault and basically it was just the noise and the tightness of the seating. Would be nice if they could lose a couple of tables to create some room. My wife tells me the toilets are extremely cool and funky, though I didn’t go myself. Music very cool, like a weird, Jazz/house mix which Shazam recognised none of. Waiter was kind enough to write it down for me. I liked that touch. Will go again, prob on a weeknight.

Our first time at Green’s. We live in Hadley Wood so have obviously heard of them, but was our first time there. Sliders and Crispy Hen’s Egg to start and was presented perfectly, tasted phenomenal, though would be nice if it came with some dipping sauces for the mini burgers, but we asked for some and got some so was fine. Fillet steak was superior and cooked to perfection. Ribs. Oh where do I begin. Just try them. We lived in New York for 4 years and never had ribs like this. Literally best we have ever had. Even got a takeaway portion for our 15 year old son. Amazing!!! Desserts were a little disappointing I’m in honest. But maybe this was because they set such a high bench mark with the food and service. Can’t wait to go back!!

It was crap. Bad food, bad service. Worse night out. Wouldn’t waste time going here. McDonald’s does a better chicken burger. “Home made” coleslaw tasted like Sainsbury’s straight from the tub.

Lovely food, very attentive staff. I originally booked for 2pm, and rang to change to 12:30 but was asked could I come at 13:00 so I agreed, but when we arrived there only two tables were occupied, so unsure why we couldn’t have come earlier.

Steak was cooked just right, all the sides were pretty good too. Don’t get many onion rings for the money though, and a bit on the noisey side. Overall a good experience

Another enjoyable visit to Green's with some friends. My fillet steak was excellent and my fellow diners all enjoyed their different choices ranging from Ribs to Swordfish! Just enough space left for a delicious sticky toffee pudding!

Service was good although a little quick (had 3 courses and were in and out within an hour 15 mins). Food was very good. Large well cooked steak and lovely ribs. Quite expensive. Not much atmosphere as was a quiet Thursday night. Overall very nice meal.

Ok but only OK, waitress and table service great but why the garlic on the plate? No mention of it on the menu, more attention needs to be paid to food allergies and your diners...

Great steaks, good portions. The seasonal side salad was hilarious, it’s a bowl of shredded lettuce and a couple of cherry toms. More of a garnish than a salad but apart from that a great local restaurant.

The food was good but the service was very slow. Also, the outside door kept getting stuck open and there was a very cold draught coming in. My husband had to get up several times to shut the door. They did give us a complimentary Choc brownie to share with a candle in it, as it was my birthday, which was a nice gesture.

Nice clean restaurant with great food (and massive portions). The food did take a little bit of time to come, but it wasn't too long. We went first thing on a Sunday and there was hardly anyone there, so it was rather relaxing.

I went to this place with some colleagues for our Festive Dinner on a Thursday evening. Before the event I paid a visit to talk through some requirements for the dinner : Non Alcoholic drinks were very limited, and when I queried this the response was " We're not a Bar " Being our Festive dinner a nice touch would have been a Christmas Cracker on each place setting. No such luck, the extremely bad mannered Waitress informed me that " They cause too much mess " O K then how about if we bring some Part Poppers and scoop up and dispose of the streamers. The response to this " We've had a flood and the wooden flooring is a bit dodgy, so the streamers may get between the cracks. " Seemed a tad Humbug for the Festive season, but too late now. I hoped for the best. We duly assembled at Greens and my colleagues were looking forward to the meal. It seemed that the restaurant staff were especially recruited for their lack of humour / personality. The food arrives and no surprise does not meet expectations : - Meat not cooked to instruction - Mainly gristle in some instances - Side orders cold and greasy - Cutlery dirty Many plates were left with quite a bit of food - very disappointing. Still dessert would save the night. No such luck - Watery sorbets - Sticky Toffee that was swimming ing treacle All in all we all agreed that it was definitely over priced for what it served up. None of us will return to this place.
