Top class food, top class staff. All in all Gurkha is well worth a visit.

Food great. Prices reasonable. Even though we ordered (admittedly for a group of 16 of us) by 7.30pm, food didn’t turn up until close to 9pm which is a shame

Helpful staff.on hand for advice eg chilli heat on a dish.made to feel welcome.good choice of food.first visit not the last.nepalese food we had which was nice.

The food was nice but we couldnt enjoy our food because waiters were constantly at our table asking to remove empty glasses or take away side plates etc, it was annoying we just wanted to be left in peace to enjoy our meal with friends, also as soon as our glasses were empty they just keep refilling , our drinks bill alone was nearly £70 . There was no atmosphere at all. we wont be returning .

We’ve been here aprox 5 times and love it! Nothing is too much for the staff who are warm, friendly and welcoming. Food choice and quality is nothing short of beautiful. The decor and surroundings are lovely. Restaurant is spotlessly clean and playing gently in the background is some Nepalese music. This restaurant is a little over 10 miles from where I live and always first choice when deciding where to eat. Thank you to all the staff and manager.

Hi again an excellent time hear I've moved to Birmingham but just had to come back missed the food so much and the staff are so lovely and we bought two friends that live in darlaston and had never been here and they will be coming back soon also 10/10 again super place thanks again irene and david

Excellent, welcoming staff. The food is absolutely delicious, so full of flavour and hot. I’d recommend Gurkha 1816 to anyone who wishes a relaxing meal after work. I can’t wait to head back!

I originally booked for 2 but no fuss when I added 2 more. The atmosphere was brilliant, no shouting or drama, food was absolutely wonderful. Plenty of choice too, the staff were friendly and engaged. Definitely a favourite now.

Our first visit and were very impressed, the food was superb, loved the momo chicken. The service was excellent you couldn't ask for friendlier or more attentive staff. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommended will be going back.

I've been to gurkha1816 a few times now. It's always a pleasant experience with excellent food and great service. All Nepali and Indian dishes are great. My mom however can't eat curries so she tends to have steak which they cook to perfection. It's well worth the visit.
