Excellent for all the family, meat eaters and vegetarian equally pleased. They do not hold back on the spices so hot means hot too which is the way it should be!

Good service, wide choice and good value for money. It is open on Monday nights which many restaurants in the area are not. This was my third visit.

Excellent Value for money. The fish starter alone makes it worth a visit. Good selection of meat & vegetarian options on the menu. Will definitely be back.

Food was excellent. Service to begin with was also excellent, but slowed down dramatically as the restaurant filled up.... We waited patiently to get desert menus for half hour, then gave up, paid the bill and left, as we had an appointment to be somewhere. So in conclusion, tremendous food if you're not in too much of a hurry.

Food was brilliant and it was very reasonably priced for stick acentral location. My only fault was the lack of lime pickle with the pickle tray, other than that i can't fault it!

This was our first visit. We have struggles to find a nice Indian restaurant. I think we found it. Service and food excellent. We had a very relaxed evening with friends. .

Excellent food and attentive service. Lots of meat in the curries which is always good. I had the 'hot' jalfrezi and found it a little mild, will ask for extra chillies next time.

The Gurkha Cafe is our go-to place for a curry. The staff are friendly, they remember who you are even if you have not been for a while and last but not least the food is very tasty,

Tasteful and intimate decor, excellent service and mouthwatering food at a mid range price. Worth every penny and can't wait to return to this fabulous establishment!

Food was delicious and very excellent. Unfortunately, restaurant was very busy and after a very large party arrived, service was simply awful. Could not get the attention of the servers, didn't ask if things were alright, couldn't get another beverage, waited far too long for the table to be cleared and even longer to get the bill. Servers seemed to look away from the customers because they were overwhelmed. Very unfortunate because the food really was terrific.

A little gem, cute and homey restaurant. Very nice, welcoming staff. Delicious food with very generous portions (we had to take half of it home!). Thank you for a lovely evening!

Absolutely fantastic. The restaurant is centrally located and delivers what it promises. The portions are quite large and, as usual, we ordered too much. But what a feast!

Great food and welcoming, friendly staff. Portion size for the mains is more than enough for one person. Only downside (for me at least) is that the amount of Nepalese dishes is less than expected.

Nice and pleasant evening. Food was of good quality and service was attentive. If I was suggesting improvement, it would be to extend the menu and differentiate from Indian restaurants with more and better described dishes from Nepal.

Lovely restaurant with amazing food and extraordinary service. It's our favourite restaurant in Edinburgh. Try the Nepalese tea and the mango kulfi. Doesn't matter what you order, every dish is fabulous

Food was really good, attentive (but not overly so) service. We had the Mo Mo chicken which was worth the wait (menu says 15 minutes and it was just under that)

Food was very good. The length of time it took to receive food, however, was a problem which seemed to abate for customers who came in later in the evening.
