Food was savage. Defo worth a visit if you are in Birmingham.

Haven’t been here for a while and really enjoyed my visit.

First time dining here an would go back again. I had the chicken Patti’s and it was very tasty. The staff are helpful and it’s a pleasant surroundings.

3rd time in going now. Each visit has been great food hot and superb.

One of the best desi grill pubs in Birmingham been to many and this is definitely up there meat quality is 10/10

We enjoyed a lovely meal at the H&C. We walked off the street into a bar with every table full of cheerful looking diners. The welcome was warm and we were shown to a table at the rear of the pub. A nice, chatty atmosphere - neither too noisy nor too loud. Fast service and the food was terrific. Excellent butter chicken. Spicy jalfrezi. Light and fluffy naan. Very good quality. Some nice local beers too - I tried the Pure Helles lager - brewed in Warwickshire. Will definitely return. Super venue.

Seating is my first issue here, although it all goes well and adds character to the decor but, sitting on stools for more than 20 minutes becomes very uncomfortable, never mind 2 hours. On to the FOOD: It’s one of the best for me the mixed grills, curry’s and naan’s are perfect and great flavour too. For me based on food and selection of drinks sits in top place in the midlands. It would be nice to see tikka options for the curry’s and maybe chilli chips too as, one diner was a little surprised to not see them on the menu. I did hear some customers mention the prices but, I think it justifies it with great food. A great selection of beers though and spirits too. It only loses points for stools other wise it would be 10/10

Wow what a brilliant find in Birmingham, not far out of the city, but brilliant authentic Indian food in a relaxed atmosphere. Bargi. Prices as well for quality of food and service.

Our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our visit at the Hen & Chickens. This is our go to place when visit Birmingham City Centre. Myself and hubby had the large mixed grill with the fish as extra, 2 portions of masala chips and jalfrezi sauce. We even had some left over which our son soon demolished the next day! See you soon.

Food was average, much better mixed grills in other places. The price was too high for what we had. The last time I went to Hen and Chickens was around 5 years ago maybe and the food was outstanding

We hadn't visited the Hen & Chickens since for a few years and we were chuffed to find the food, service and decor had not only stayed at the same great level but had got even better. Each curry has a unique flavour. Incredibly reasonable and delicious.

Popped in to watch the football and grab some food. The curry was fantastic. Super fast service and lovely staff. Will definitely call in again.
