The mixed grill... the mixed grill. It's a thing of wonder. Just watch what you order for a main course as you may not have room! The food was as great as ever and we will continue to return on a regular basis

It was a excellent dining experience 3 things I rate whenever i eat out.. 1 is the service good & more importantly is the restaurant & toilets clean & is the food well presented & enjoyable? I m happy to say the hen and chickens came up trumps with both! So would not hesitate to dine here again.

Fantastic food, busy and fun. But one significant issue that other diners should be aware of so they don't suffer the same fate we do - the kitchen closes at 9.30pm - there was nothing visible in the restaurant to warn of this - we ordered our starters and enjoyed them at leisure. However when I returned to order our main courses, we were declined at it was too late (it was 9.31!). We would have loved to have eaten more but sadly could not. To me, it's an odd setup and the owners and staff should be abundantly clear on this.

All of us loved our evening at the Hen & Chickens. Had come across it online when choosing 3 venues for friends to choose from for our night out. from outside it doesn't look special but inside a little gem. Our table was in the bar area but there was also a 'nicer' more restaurant style room beyond. Our food was delivered quickly, plentiful and tasty. Bar staff friendly. All 4 couples would go back and 2 enthused over the fish curry..

Food was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to back. Mixed grills to die for.
