Degelijke tent! Menu is simpel en straightforward. Toch hebben de gerechten iets meer flair dan in een normale fish&chips zaak. Zou het aanraden als je fish&chips wil proberen!

Decent food, nice decor and friendly waiters, the menu has a good selection, though tacos weren’t available when we were there on a Saturday night. And no desert/coffee either unfortunately.

Brilliant Staff, beautiful restaurant, PHENOMENAL food. It's fish and chips, but lighter and less oily... It's perfect. Hurry up and book a table already! Guaranteed you wont' regret it.

The employees were really nice and the food was great! I really liked the way they cook chips, with the skin and in big slices. I recommend this place, definitely!

The food is great and the service good. The only reason we didn't give it a 6 is because we asked to get the sides first as an appetiser and then the main course. But everything came at once. We're going back.

The restaurant had no record of my reservation which was a little disappointing. However, the staff were very friendly and nice and managed to find us a table.

Great fish & chips and lovely staff. Restaurant is rustically cool - would definitely recommend :-) Within easy walking distance of Camden Town underground station.

A real delight. Absolutely everything tasted so fresh and delicious. The fish was cut thick and done to perfection. Both types of batters were light and well seasoned., and we simply could not get enough of the homemade tartar sauce. We were also pleasantly surprised by the chips as the freshness of the potato came through every bite. And let's not forget our side plates of calamari rings and cucumber salad which awakened our taste buds. Our only regret: we could not try everything on the menu. Oh yes, and you just have to love the very friendly atmosphere and service.

This is a great restaurant serving a delicious twist on a British classic. The fish was cooked very well, with excellent flavour combinations and some really nice side dishes. Camden is definitely worth a detour and even more so to visit Hook.

Arguably the best fish and chips we have had in london. The sauces are to die for!!! The staff is nice and courteous and always accommodating. We usually get all the sauces and cilantro/cucumber salad. It comes in a small jar ( which you cant take home sadly) but really good though.

Really tasty fish and excellent chips, great if you're looking for an interesting take on traditional fish and chips. Both the truffle & garlic and the curry & lime were delicious.

Wonderful food, very friendly staff and service. Simply great. Also loved the choice of craft beers - I only had one of them, but I liked it. The simple, but cool design of the place I liked. Unfortunately, customers coming on going were in general incapable to close the door, which with the cold weather outside made an unpleasant cold air creep in everytime until I got up an closed it again. So add a door-closer to the door and it's solved :-)

We enjoyed our meal at Hook. The waiter was personable if not knowledgeable. The minty mushy peas were delicious. Good value for money and a pleasant ambience.

Probably the best Fish&Chips we had! Fish was fresh and tasty, not greasy at all, easy to digest batter and delicous sauce and chips! Would definitely come back after a little diet :) Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great and surprisingly small restaurant in a great location in Camden. The fish was cooked well, and the small plates were the highlight of the meal. The prawns and sapphire salad are my highlights. Staff are friendly and accommodating especially as one of our table has a sever nut allergy. Will return!

Unique flavours, amazing sauces and super friendly staff. Next level fish and chips! I tried the Argentinian this time (last time I had the jerk Panko) and it just never fails satisfy. The chips are also the best!

Tasty fish & chips (that come in large portions) with various dips (there was a Carribean and Moroccan selection the day we visited) in a friendly atmosphere.

The classic coating was good though I would have preferred some choice of fish (only hake was available that day) but I guess that is the way they keep it fresh. Chips were good - plump and solid. Certainly a different take on a standard and worth it. Service was fine, contrary to some of the comments I read before. I would definitely go again.

A warm welcome, good panko breadcrub fish and real potato chips, interesting beers to choose from. Would return to try something different from the menu, when next in Camden.

Great food! Very fresh, tasty! Not heavy, we left feeling satisfied. After seeing Guy Fieri's review, we sought out this place during our visit to London. We were not disappointed.

Amazing food- Perfect crispy batter, yummy sauces and chips spot on! also nice as a bit different from the usual fish and chips. And the waiter was a BABE!.. Told us he was new- he was great. My friend didn't want the spice on her tacos and they kindly replaced it without a fuss. Will definitely go back! (Noisy because we sat outside and someone's car alarm was going off!)

Great service - very good food - modern take on fish and chips - if you're looking for heavy greasy batter on your Hake - this is not the place for you...

The fish was well done. Chips could have been crisper. They mixed up the drinks but were happy to sort out when explained. Overall it was good - quantity was huge.

We Loved Hook! ever since we watched Guy Fieri feature Hook on U.S. TV, we made it a priority destination during our first trip to UK. Glad we did and found it to be just a short walk from Regent's Park, another great place to visit for beautiful stroll before or after. We had the Classic and Argentinian. Both were excellent, as were the accompanying "chips." We ordered their homemade ketchup which was worth the small charge and I wish had recipe. Service was friendly. Thank you Hook--we will highly recommend you to all.

Great food, not too crowded (even though Fri night), no loud music blaring in your ear and friendly staff. One criticism - service was slow & this seemed to be due to lack of staff (I saw only two people working the tables). I don't know if this is a regular thing but if so, it's time for Hook to decrease the ranks of the unemployed so that starving patrons can get their grub on time.

We ordered calamari taco and classic fish and chip, both tastes amazing. But my bast pick is the minty mushy peas :P. The homemade lemonade is so refreshing and not too sweet. A lovely lunch :)
