I found there to be good service. Dinner was delicious. Will definitely look to return for another meal at Jackson and Rye in Chiswick. Recommended.

Great decor and atmosphere. My friends eggs were a bit over poached but they quickly cooked up new ones with a runny middle so I would recommend making sure you specify how you would like your eggs done. My salmon and scrambled eggs were perfect!

Service with a smile and very friendly which added to a great night. Great service - although some of the food could of been better. Ribs were slightly overcooked as with the steak but enjoyed the night and stayed still closing time.

Loved the look of the brunch menu but my experience here was a disappointing. Service was slow and they were stingy with the amount of berries and creme fraiche on my Berries Pancake. Chiswick is full of good brunch options so Jackson and Rye need to raise their game I reckon.

Pretty good food (buttermilk was OK but the pulled pork has was excellent) and service was good and friendly if a little slow in clearing plates and checking for table overload!

Really sad to say as I do enjoy going to Jackson and Rye. Poor service on this occasion, short staffed and only apologised for service being slow after I complained that our parking was running out.

Setting nice, the service great and the food ok. Good choice of cocktails too. Good value for money as well. Better for kids and families.

The food was ok but not in comparison to similar restaurants in London and for the price. They seemed short staffed which was surprising considering it was 4th july and you'd expect it to be busy. Not all the food on the menu was available and we had to wait a while for service. This was down to the shortage of staff rather than the staff themselves. Some items didn't come out and the same time as the rest of the meal but a free drink was offered to compensate for this. I wouldn't be in a hurry to return.

Not bad, but a catalogue of small things that became frustrating - drinks being missed and having to be chased, starters missed by the kitchen so the table had to eat in shifts, running out of a standard type of beer. Waitress was trying and we got a free round to apologise, but needs to sharpen up. Food was good but not stellar. Overall disappointing for a birthday meal on a Saturday night when they were not hugely busy.

Our first time to visit, food was 10:10! Great food, service was brilliant, would've stayed longer and probably with a couple more bottles of wine but didn't have cheese and biscuits on menu. Apart from that everything was first class! When Adele announces her next performance, we will come back and without a doubt come back here for lunch again. PLEASE GET SOME CHEESE IN.

Lack of kitchen staff was appalling and put a big strain on FOH.. food was fine when it eventually arrived, you need to sort this out now !

Nice staff and food was nice. Cocktail list was different and not that great. Decor was lovely and prices not too bad. My food was lukewarm but tasted ok.

This was our second visit to Jackson and Rye Chiswick branch and again the staff were great, food good and service great too. A nice place for a Sunday Brunch - or even just a nifty cocktail or two.

Fantastic staff! Friendly, interesting, with thorough knowledge of their menu. Food was tasty and the lager was ice cold on the hot day we were there. Brisket was so tender it literally fell apart - no need for a knife. Peanut butter martini was a wow! Only word of warning, if you are there on a hot day in June, you may want to avoid the outside row of seating closest to the street as the sun was very hot from 3 to 6. As we don't have that many days of sunshine, you may not mind.

Such a huge improvement since it changed hands, a far more interesting menu and better food, this would have been a six if there had been more oomph to the seafood gumbo, and more than just three measly prawns.

Unfortunately the specific pre booked table had been given to another couple. (I had visited the restaurant a few days earlier to check on layout and specified a particular table) However I was given a complimentary glass of champagne!! Food and service was good and I will go there again.

it was a nice experience at the Jackson + Rye Chiswick. myself and my mum enjoyed the food that we ordered. the only downside I would say is that the person we had serve us didn't really seem to get when we wanted a couple more minutes when we were still deciding on what we wanted. But other then this minor blip it was amazing

Love this place – great food, great service and really nice for dinner for two or a group catch up. The brunch is also excellent as are the Aperol Spritz cocktails... although probably not for brunch.

Everything was ok, but not more than that. Unusual, because usually it's excellent and that means that when it isn't excellent, you really notice. It was all a bit sleepy, just a bad day at the office.

Service was excellent. Food was good but not great - no garnish with steak unless you paid extra for sides. Loved the upstairs dining area but 2 flights of stairs down to toilets not good for those with mobility probs.

I dined here as a party of 5 and was dissapointed with the shrimp burger as it was not just shrimp as described but instead was bulked up with some form of white fish and which it did not say on the menu so I found that quite deceiving.

I have been in J+R in Chiswick and Richmond a few times now and have even taken work colleagues for Christmas lunch in Chiswick.. We are based in Chiswick but Sat evening at the Chiswick branch I was very disappointed with the whole experience. 1. I asked for the peri peri chicken wings to be swapped for the BBQ chicken and the waiter said they could not do that which was odd my son has just ordered BBQ chicken wings, then when the chicken wings arrived the sauce was on the side both piri piri and BBQ which he should have explained when I ask my original question which would have been fine, then it was up to be which sauce I used. When you read the menu and see peri peri chicken, you assume it is on the chicken already. 2. My friend explained a few times to the waiter that she would like her eggs cooked hard with no runny bits, they arrived, practically straight from the fridge. 3. I asked for a chocolate sundae but asked could I have some marshmallows thrown in and was told no. ( how difficult would that have been and there is a supermarket on your doorstep. But guess you had them as they were in something else) 4. One of the reasons we chose J+R on sat was I fancied a cocktail, my fav P star martini and was told you did not have the ingredients. If just one of these things or even two happened it would not have been a problem but add them all together it made for a disappointing evening. This is a shame as I have been there for work, birthdays and just plan old night out as I like the atmosphere , bar for cocktail etc. The upside was, the staff were very polite. I would hope to say I will visit again just to see if I can have, marshmallows and a good ol P star martini. :-)

Good atmosphere and very friendly service. I did however think the additional sides were somewhat overpriced and addition of these meant that a standard meal ended up becoming far more expensive than it should be.

The service was absolutely amazing. Staff are clued on. They even took a dish from the dinner menu for my mum who is gluten-free and made it for her even though they were only serving brunch at that time and not every restaurant would do this. They were kind and polite and they made Mother's Day for my mum perfect. Very happy and would go there again.

Great service, comfortable surroundings, felt like a returning customer and not someone the staff are seeing for the first time, was not rushed, despite being busy the table was ours for as long as we wanted it

Visited the Chiswick J&R, only to be disappointed by their Baby BBQ Ribs and the J&R BBQ Board. The meat appeared to be quite dry and not tender at all. We had requested that the side dish which came with the Baby BBQ ribs (the green slaw) be substituted for a green salad instead. However, when the dish arrived, the green slaw was present along with the green salad. This is not what we ordered, therefore, we asked the waitress to bring the chips, as we had wanted. Thankfully we were not charged the green salad as an extra order. Service at this branch was a little slow with the waiting staff being less than attentive. The atmosphere is not bad, but I wouldn't return for any of the meat dishes in the future. I would give it the benefit of the doubt to try the Eggs, Pancake items though.

We had brunch. The food was good and the staff friendly. Only minor quibble from our children was the hint of lemon in the pancakes - they weren't keen on that

On the menu it specifically states that the fillet steak can be cooked in any way you want. I asked for it medium/well. I had to return it as it was more like medium rare. When it came back it was almost exactly the same. I couldn't eat it. The waitress was really sweet and they took it off the bill and gave us a complimentary dessert. ( which is why this is not a one-star review). However it still meant I had no lunch and my partner was sat eating on her own while all this happened, hardly a relaxing time. Generally I have had good experiences here but won't order steak again.

excellent service and ambiance. Could do with slightly broader menu - for example fish dish and more salads. Duck salad could have done with a bit more duck.

Enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere, very welcoming. Wide ranging menu competitively priced for the area. Friendly attentive service. Positive Sunday lunchtime feel with a New york vibe. Very stylish.
