Jackson and Rye - City

The food, ambience, service and the staff...all good. My colleagues were very happy that I have picked Jackson & Rye for our team Christmas lunch.

The food was very tasty. I had the chicken burger meal, it was a very generous portion of chicken. My friend had the veal escalope which she said was the best she'd every had. Friendly, efficient service. Lively ambiance. Gook value for money. Definitely going back again.

Great service and food, as always, even with the Christmas rush crowds this time of year. Highly recommend their steaks and one of the excellent cocktails to go with them.

Went around Xmas team for a quiet meal.. had a nice evening with good food at a reasonable price, staff were also nice; would definitely recommend

Friendly wait staff and good food, Creme brûlée had unfortunately been blowtorched until it was melted underneath but tasted delicious. All in all a good experience, would return. Would love if there were a few more veggie options

Good food and service - went for our team Christmas lunch and was very pleasantly surprised. Would recommend and visit again. We were sat upstairs which I hadn't been to before but it was a good place to sit.

Food quality good (this was breakfast) although the warm (toasted) sourdough raised comment from two guests as being cut too thick and toasted to be very crisp and as such difficult to eat. Despite being the last breakfast diners, we still struggled to move quickly through the payment process - just an irritation that spoils the experience.

Nice food lovely wine but a little overpriced..... I hate it when you order a steak and the chips are extra... I comes across as mean. Always the same problem a far too long wait to pay the bill

Great location. The food was excellent but the service slightly slow but it was Christmas. All in all a good night which everyone enjoyed a lot.

Service was great. Fast and kind. The portions are good size. And the menu is a good combination of meat/fish/vegetarian. Everyone was really happy and mentioned it was a good choice. We’ll repeat for sure!

Booked dinner here as I had been before and service HAD been good. However, this time, there was a very slow service. The table wasn't set properly and there were no napkins available, so we were provided with tissues(!). We waited for over 20 mins for the bill and then had to ask for it again. Food was very good, but overall experience was disappointing.

The service was really good, friendly waiting staff who were just the right level of attentive. The sea bass fillets were delicious and my colleague had the chicken salad which looked lovely.

They serve great breakfast. Good portions. The restaurant was spacious and the service was excellent. Great for business meetings. We will definitely come back again. Thank you.

Great service, attentive servers, warm welcome. Great food, and not a bad price. Only issue was that the person i was meeting was sat at a different table.

Great atmosphere - loved the Christmassy feel with the big Christmas tree as you walk in. Had the Rib eye steak which was excellent and the service was also brilliant. Can't think of a legitimate negative without simply nitpicking which wouldn't be fair as I thoroughly enjoyed it. Back on Monday for leaving drinks!

Breakfast was delicious with brilliant waiting staff and quick service. We had a mixture of granola and cooked eggs. What tasty coffee too. Expect another visit soon!

Fast service especially at lunch time, this was appreciated. Good level of attentiveness from all members of staff. Interior was grand and multifaceted, good architecture.

Great ambience, professional staff, excellent wine list and menu but let down a little by some of the mains not being hot when they arrived and a fillet steak that should have been rare but wasn't quite (OK, there's an element of personal taste in that one). Commented on these issues to the waiter who handled the matter extremely well. He even took the cost of some drinks off the bill which wasn't necessary but was a very nice gesture. Will certainly return.

Amazing staff and service. We were supposed to be 8 guests but ended up being 12, the staff easily accommodated us. We were nicely greeted, promptly served and very well taken care of throughout the evening. Will definitely be returning.

Friendly service but they had set the table for 6 when the booking was for 7 people. We had to remind them to bring an extra chair and remind them to bring the wine we ordered

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving meal for three. The food was delicious (only very minor niggle was the turkey could have done with a vegetable side rather than just sweet potato and lambs lettuce). The status were attentive and the restaurant is lovely.

LOVE this place for breakfast/ brunch! This was my 2nd visit and it was even better the 2nd time around. The staff were super helpful in working around a food allergy and did so not only effectively but with a smile and good humour. This is (un)surprisingly rare! The food was delicious, ambiance buzzy but not pressured and the service good. I will be making another visit.

My first time at Jackson & Rye. Fantastic venue and décor. The service was excellent. The meal was amazing. I will definitely be going back and have already recommended this place to friends.

Amazing service & ambiance! The food was great but not excellent, however very well priced, especially drinks - you can get a bellini for just under a fiver - amazing experience overall!

Good service and lots of choice on the menu. Lovely interior and very convenient to Bank station. I would definitely return, even if just for a drink in the bar.

Lovely bar/restaurant but can get extremely busy by the entrance as people tend to drink outside rather than inside. This means that the restaurant area is a little quieter which is good. Service is a little slow although there are plenty of waiters. Food was good and drinks are reasonably priced.

Very friendly service from the moment we arrived until we left the restaurant. The food arrived quickly and was pretty good. Only complaint is the fries could have been better!

Food came within 5 minutes of ordering. Was good but clear it had been on the side already. Prefer food to be cooked fresh normally.

Good and fast lunchtime catch-up with the team. They can get pretty busy though so book ahead!

Starter were brought after the mains were served, and even then one of the starters was not what we ordered. The food was fine thought and the atmosphere good (relatively quiet, which was what we wanted).

The staff are fantastic, and I cannot fault their service from the moment you enter to the moment you leave. However, the food really lets them down. My friend and I shared a main and a variety of sides and starters. We have both been rather unwell. Not good. Stick to the drinks!

Come here frequently for work breakfast meetings. They’re quick enough with service and food is decent. It’s a little pricey but it’s what you expect in the city to some degree!

Bacon and beans on fry up let them down. Nasty. Also unfortunate to have a fly in the tea!!! Won’t be going back there again for breakfast.

Excellent food and service, perfect venue for a business lunch in the city. Really good location, near Bank, Mansion House and Moorgate stations. Highly recommended!
