If you’re looking to spice things up in Brixton, Jalisco is the place to go. Situated on Coldharbour Lane, Jalisco Brixton serves up Latin American-inspired dishes in a casual setting. Begin your meal with some alitas de pollo (triple-cooked spicy chicken wings with lime and coriander) or some ceviche de mariscos (mixed seafood in lime juice, peppers, onions and coriander, served with corn tortillas), before moving on to a Mexican street food favourite like the tacos, quesadillas or tacos, with your choice of filling and preferred levels of spice. Wash it all down with a refreshing margarita or two for the full experience! To guarantee a table at this London hotspot, making a reservation ahead of time is recommended.
Easy booking experience through Quandoo. Friendly staff and efficient service. It's a cosy restaurant, which means you can be seated quite close to other diners, but I think that only enhances the experience. Went for the pulled pork burrito (hot). very tasty, well spiced and large was large enough! the Camote (sweet potato fries) were nicely prepared. All washed down with draft Brahma!Would re-visit to try other items on the menu.
Great food and fast service in a really nice down to earth place. My only reason for not giving it the full 6 marks was that the chap serving us did try a 'little too hard' to make us order more than we really wanted, we didn't succumb but could have done without it. However a very minor complaint overall and would definitely go again and also recommend.
Great fun and the best margaritas I've found in London. Excellent staff and tasty tacos at good prices. Worth booking in advance if there are four or more of you.
Closest thing to home (calif-mex border) I have found in my 38 years in Britain. Staff friendly and helpful foodmargaritas and beer with lime and salt fabulous
