The restaurant was perfect....friendly and professional. The food was great. Service was spot on....attentive without being overbearing. Would happily return here and certainly recommend it.

Average food, overpriced, very small servings (even of the rice!), automatically added service charge to the bill which is just an ignorant practice. Not a restaurant i would return to unfortunately.

Found this restaurant when on a weekend away in Birmingham. Booked a table online about 2 hours before arriving. Very busy when we arrived but table was ready for us. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Menu was decent with a good selection of dishes. The food was really tasty with good sized portions. Had no complaints with anything. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Great ambiance and service. Four of us shared mostly veggie dishes and side dishes; all tasted excellent. We'll go back next time we're in Birmingham!

Nice ambiance with fairly attentive service. They were happy for me to push the table back 10 minutes as the show we were at ran over. My curry (pathia) was very tasty with just the right amount of cheekiness. I'd go back and I guess that's the best treatment I can give.

Excellent food and service. Would gave scored 6 but for the fact there was a short wait for our table on arrival as it needed making up. Also a bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. Excellent overall would go back

Great restaurant. Good meal and friendly waiters. Had the balti. Jalfrezi. Madras and tikka and all really good. Good setting. Nice and clean. Only disadvantage was the tip is added to the bill.

I was advised by waiter that it wasn’t find dining like their other restaurant blanc nri when I told him that’s why I had gone there . Having said that food was lovely although food yes not quite as good as at blanc . Service was very good but did feel hurried at times . It was early Saturday evening though and looked busy so they probably had lots of bookings . Overall lovely meal lovely surroundings and reasonably priced

The service was very good. The food was very good and the portions just right. It is a great location near the centre of Birmingham.

Whenever we go to the theatre we have to eat here. The food is absolutely brilliant and the service is excellent and staff are very attentive.

Food & service both excellent. Staff were made aware that we were on a tight time schedule to go to the theatre and were able to accommodate our request in a polite and courteous way.

We had a great meal at the James Dahl prior to a show at the Hippodrome (Kevin Bridges), very quiet when we arrived at 6pm but filled up quickly and having tasted the food and experienced the service we now know why …… excellent restaurant.

Absolutely loved our meal. the service was great, the food was great and the wine was great. a nice atmosphere and the prices were more than reasonable. Will definitely be visiting again.

My guest and I arrived approximately 5 minutes before our booking however we were warmly welcomed, immediately put at ease and shown to our table The restaurant is very open, which my guest and I commented and it is a clearly well kept and refined restaurant. We were spoken to extremely politely by all members of staff, they were very helpful and professional throughout our evening and the atmosphere in the restaurant during our meal was very relaxed. The food was of a high standard and the portion sizes were perfect, not overdoing it but you left full and satisfied. My guest and I had a starter and main course each. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a very good quality Indian cuisine with a relaxed ambiance and adept staff. I shall definitely be returning.

Loved it, the decor was lovely. Food was fantastic and seemed to remain hot for a very long time. Naan Bread could of been bigger but wasn't the end of the world nor did it take our enjoyment of a brilliant meal.

Great flavours with something to suit everyone's palette and all well presented. We really enjoyed the tandoori chicken. Service was efficient but not rushed. Loved it.

The meal & service were excellent but found the service charge of £30 exorbitant. We were more than prepared to leave a good tip prior to realising the hefty service charge!

Lovely food and great service. Nice clean restaurant. The only reason I didn’t give it a 6 is because my garlic naan bread wasn’t very garlicky.

The restaurant serves wonderfully tasty food. We treated ourselves to the special mixed starter for two which is presented beatifully and is very special. The connoisseur choices offer dishes that are a little different. The staff are very efficient and freindly. I would deffinately recomend a visit.

Restaurant well decorated with comfortable seating array. Had two soft drinks of coke and lemonade which surprisingly were at room temperature and tasted quite flat, like they had been poured from a big bottle of pop. Meals were well presented but on the smaller portion size that I wouldn’t have expected for the price you pay. Was quite surprised of size for the dipping sauces and salad mix that came with the popadoms for me and my wife to share considering I was charged for them. Where at other restaurants I’ve been too they would be free.

Good welcome on arrival to a clean pleasant restaurant. The staff were very attentive without being overbearing. Good choice of dishes on the menu - the poppadoms, starters & mains we ordered were very tasty & satisfying. Look forward to visiting again.

Wonderful meal with amazing quality food, one of the best nan breads I have ever had in an Indian restaurant. Service was excellent and there is a nice atmosphere.

Food not quite as good as last time but still good. Waiters seemed to be a bit distracted by all the girls walking past the restaurant!
