Jojolapa Nepalese Bar & Kitchen

Booked a Nepalese restaurant expecting something a little different, just the usual Indian menu. Place was so cold we had to keep our coats on throughout.

Food was fresh, tasty and didn't have to wait long. Limited choice of sweets. Other than that I would return. Parking is difficult so I would park in snow hill station and and walk.

Great food as always! This is one of my favorite restaurants in Birmingham. Staff were very friendly and polite. I will bring my family next time.

Excellent and quick service. Went in for lunch, told our waiter we had less than an hour and our food came out in 10 minutes!

Overall nice atmosphere, service good, friendly staff and delicious food! Only criticism would be a more varied menu but otherwise excellent! Will be returning here soon!

Great value lunch for £6.99. Made a pre-order for a large group and all the food came out very quickly upon our arrival and was all accurate. This is definitely a better lunch experience for a work team lunch than we have had at other places in the Colmore area. Will be returning.

This is the third time I have been to this restaurant and each time it has been better. The food, service, cleanliness is excellent, and I can not fault it. I was accompanied by several girlfriends who were all just as impressed and 2 have already booked to return with partners. Excellent and would recommend to all.

We were 27 people and despite the huge amount of people, there was great service. The food came quickly and everything was really nice! Would highly recommend.

Heard mixed reviews so thought I would try this restaurant out as we love eating out - food was good - venue was very busy and service wasn't very attentive. Wouldn't rush to go back but wouldn't avoid either. Different menu with a good choice of dishes on offer.

Every time I go to Jojolapa I know what will I get: delicious food and cozy environment. The staff is always very friendly and prices are very reasonable for the city center location.

Great restaurant; stylish; lovely atmosphere; attentive staff; and above all, fantastic food! I would heartily recommend the Nepalese signature dishes - just that little bit different.

First class meal and service will certainly be returning in the near future the friends we were with said it was the best curry they had ever had.

Pleasant ambience but slow service to start - our table wan't ready even though we had booked. Food good enough, rated at 7/10 - expensive and a bit cheeky to charge £1.50 for a poppadom, plus 10% service charge.

Amazing food, the best MoMo's I've had outside Nepal! (A must have! A really filling starter, but so worth it!) Great service, with knowledgeable staff.

Great new lunchtime tapas style menu, full of interesting Nepalese food - reminscent of Indian style food, but with a subtle twist. Our choices were mainly spicy but not overpoweringly so, letting you taste all of the different flavours. Plenty of veggie options as well as choice for meat eaters.

Fantastic food and service, never had a bad experience. The new street food menu is amazing. This is a family run restaurant and the staff are always welcoming.

We found that there paymento card machine not working than have to go and find a cash point atm and take the cash out and pay

The food was quite tasty, momos as starter was just fab! The location and atmosphere was good. Would visit again and highly recommended esp for a good evening meal.

Fantastic food, as ever, but on this occasion they were severely understaffed which let down the whole experience somewhat. I know, however, that this is not the case generally so will be back as it really is a great place to go for a reasonably priced and extremely tasty lunch.

Haven't been for a while but took some friends who hadn't been before. We all had the set menu which was delicious and good value too. Very friendly helpful staff.

We were a table of ten. Food came out together and was delicious. Only improvement is that the service could be quicker given that it was a lunchtime sitting and therefore the usual one hour restriction applies.

Had food from lunch menu. Excellent value for money. Drink, main which comes with rice and naan and ice cream for £6.99. Had the chicken tikka masala which was tasty. Good service. Would go there again.

Enjoyed my evening there food was average compared to other Nepalese restaurants I've visited menu was also more Indian than Nepalese bottled beer could do with being chilled more as it was warm my biggest gripe was as I couldn't find the toilets took a wrong turn through a fire exit to walk in to a mound af rubbish bags piled high containing waste yards from where I was eating

Fabulous food, fabulous service and great atmosphere. First time dining at the Joholapa and won't be the last. Excellent night and will strongly recommend to friends

Service and food was excellent. Beautiful nan breads, probably the best I have ever eaten. I had the Nepalese lamb curry, it was beautiful albeit a little salty (that's probably down to my dislike for salt though). Overall, awesome!!

Disappointed that the Street food menu was not available as it has been discontinued- website still advertises it. Food was nice, portions satisfactory but service could be better as 1st waitress struggled with English and was in need of training. May go back when the street food menu is re-instated

Great food and all reasonably priced. The soup was particularly amazing. Only down point we were unfortunately seated quite close to the door on a chilly night.

Quite busy for a Wednesday evening so good atmosphere. Service was attentive and well paced although our starters were a little slow to arrive. Food was great, spices were well balanced and all the flavours came through. Chicken and lamb dishes both very tender. Vegetarian dishes were excellent. Will certainly keep this restaurant on our go to list.

Great food and service - especially impressed with the vegetarian options. I would highly recommend the restaurant - very good price for the choices we made. I will be going again
