Excellent food , so well cooked and very tasty. friendly staff. But, a 85minute wait for the food was disappointing

We'd taken friends from abroad to Kayal before on a previous visit and they really wanted to go again. We really enjoyed both the food and friendly staff and got them to take a few photos of us all too. We'd definitely recommend Kayal as an excellent restaurant with great food and friendly staff.

3rd time we have been to this restaurant, very advisable to book in advance, it's a large place but always seems busy, food was glorious such subtle flavours, all of our party enjoyed the evening, staff was kind and very helpful, i had the salmon something or other ( can't remember) good size portions

A wonderful meal that tantalised the tastebuds. We were accommodated to change little parts of the menu to our liking. So appreciated that! Loved the fish curry and drumstick soup. The thali was so filling.... It could easily be shared between two people. It was my first time st Kayal. I will certainly visit again.

Brought our friends here to try for the first time; we think a visit to Leicester isn’t complete until you’ve been to Kayal. As always, the food was fantastic! They were amazed with the size of the paper dosas! Every dish was flavoursome, hearty and fresh. The appam bread is always such a treat to mop up a saucy curry and we loved the choice! We love also that you have created the ability to reserve a table online.

We booked for four people, we ordered a selection of starters. They were interesting. However we were not prepared for the amazing curry! We ordered three and shared them. The curries were incredible in flavour! So light and like no other I have had. All of us agreed they were fabulous! A great night, excellent service, friendly staff! Maybe we shouldn’t tell anyone….!

Only one negative (slightly) is that the tables close to the doors Carly a real draft (cold) every time the door opens which is very frequently, especially with the delivery guys standing in the doorway with the door open.

I’ve dined at Kayal a few times, and never been disappointed. The Southern Indian dishes provide something a little different and as usual the food was delicious and the service great. Altogether a pleasant experience with friends.
