Lovely food and , lovely dining experience. Lots of lovely, thoughtful little touches - especially for Valentines.

Very different from the run of the mill Indian restaurant offering. Excellent meal descriptions in the menu. Good drinks availability. Very attentive and helpful staff. Really recommend a visit.

We love Kayal!! The masala paper dosa is incredible for starters and then it gets even better from there! The fish curry, the appam, the special salad! And the staff can’t do enough for you. A fabulous place. Thanks, Kayal - you made our visit to Leicester again.

First time that I have been to Kayal in Leicester. Tried Kayal in Leamington recently and it was the best Indian food I have ever had. Kayal Leicester was every bit as good. Wonderfully flavoured and cooked food. Not too oily, not crazy spicy, just a perfect blend of flavours and textures and interestingly different dishes, not just run-of-the-mill Indian.

Lovely food when it arrives, but terribly long wait - over an hour - until main course served. Appetiser course did not arrive at all, but still shown on bill. They try to feed far too many people at pre rugby match times.

This is the second time that we have booked to eat at Kayal and on both occasions we had an excellent experience. The booking was simple , the staff were very professional, warm and friendly and the food is amazing . If you like a curry , especially fish or vegetarian this is a ‘must’ place to visit. We probably could have done with a slightly longer pause between starter and main courses - it was only a few minutes and I think 15 would have been ideal My one problem was the door - it has a point where it will stay open unless deliberately closed - lots of people were going in and out and the door was standing open - it’s cold in December ! The only negative element to our visit really - the service and friendliness of staff were brilliant and the food was delicious

Brilliant experience, highly recommend for the atmosphere and superb food. Hosted friends visiting from Europe and decided to go to Kayal as a staple Indian restaurant and wasn't disappointed.

The food and service are both amazing. The restaurant is cosy and pretty with fairy lights. It is let down by the delivery drivers coming in and out walking straight through the dining area, it really ruined the atmosphere.

First time visit certainly won't be the last excellent food.

We booked our work Christmas 'Do at Kayal. The starter and main was great, but the 3 courses (plated starter / various curries on the table / ice cream dessert took over 4 hours. There was hours of waiting around and drinks ordered never came. I did complain and service charge was removed but we missed our booked activity because of the time delays. Was a little steep at £31pp but expected at Christmas.

If you want Indian food like you've never had before head to Kayal! Along with friendly, efficient service is an absolute must to try!

The staff were all friendly and efficient. Food recommendations made worked very well. We were given an extra small portion of curry that was really tasty. All meals were flavoursome with heat that built but never over powered.
